Nadine Pov The next day, I woke up with a splitting headache, feeling like my head was about to explode. The pounding in my temples was relentless as I stumbled out of bed and went to the shower. The cold water cascading over me provided some relief, but the pain still lingered. "Ah, finally," I muttered as I stepped out of the shower, my hair dripping wet. I quickly dried it and reached for some medicine to ease the throbbing in my head. "Nadine, are you okay?" Layla's voice echoed from the doorway as she entered my room, concern etched on her face.
