I sat on the edge of the bathtub, staring at the positive pregnancy test in my hand. My heart raced as I tried to process what this meant for me and my future. How could this happen now that Edward and I were separated?
Tears streamed down my cheeks as I thought about how much life would change with a baby on the way. Would I be able to handle it all on my own? The fear and anxiety threatened to consume me as I looked down at my barely-there bump.
"Why now?" I whispered to myself, feeling lost and overwhelmed.
