When Nolan woke he noticed sunlight streaming through the tiny openings in the blinds of Leo’s bedroom window. He blinked fully awake and sat up in an empty bed. Fuck. He hadn’t meant to spend the whole night with Leo. But after initially falling asleep, Leo woke him sometime in the night for round two, and then he’d been too exhausted to move. He stretched and realized he was also sore. Ouch. Nolan winced and rose from the bed. His clothes had been discarded the previous night, so he scooped them up and dressed. He’d turned his cell phone off the night before when he’d gone to see Leo, not wanting his dad to call him in one of his rages. Fishing it out of the pocket of his jeans, he turned it on, holding his breath. No messages. Which probably meant his dad spent the night somewhere
