At the Jacobs’ everyone went about their business. Ava on the other hand, worked tirelessly to win Alex over. “Now that the Smiths are unwilling to work with us, thanks to Olivia. What do we do? Nobody wants to partner with us anymore. Oh we’re doomed” Mr Jacobs lamented. Ava walked towards him and said nicely. “Dad, about that, I’ll figured out a way to get Alex to marry me instead of that b***h. I’ll get him to fall in love with me and when he does we’ll be on the Smiths good side” she smiled. Clara was pleased she said “Ava you’re so smart and beautiful too. I bet Alex won’t be able to resist you” she laughed. “Ava if you do this for me I’ll give you 50 percent of shares from the Jacobs Group” Ava was so excited. All her plans were working out fine just as she imagined it’ll be. ‘Olivia you’re really no match for me. With you out of my way, I’ll be the richest heiress in crest valley’ she thought to herself and smiled satisfactorily. She took out her phone and called Alex. “Hey” came the voice over the phone “what do you want?” He asked in a haste. “Chill out beast boy, no rush. Dinner at 7. Any restaurant of your choice. I’ll come pick you up. Be ready.” She said and hung up the phone. “I’m super proud of you” Clara said smiling.
Ava dressed her best to impress Alex. She got to his house and called but he wasn’t answering so she decided to go in. She knocked on the front door there was still no response, so she went in. She walked carefully around the house until she got to what seemed like a bedroom. ‘It’s so big’ she thought to herself. ‘Bigger than Dads’ wow’ she walks in and found Alex lying lifeless. She called out for help but no one was around. She rushed him to the hospital instead and called her parents to tell them what happened. Her Dad called the Smiths. Ava was asked to wait outside. The Smiths came in. “What happened to my son” Mr Smith asked angrily, he had already heard rumors of Olivia’s ordeal so he despised the Jacobs. “Found him in his room lifeless on his bed so I brought him here” she said shaking. While they were talking a nurse walked past, Ava stopped her “what’s the situation of your patient please” “please calm down he’ll be fine” she said and left.
After some time the doctor came out of the room and said “the patient is fine, he needs to rest now so you can’t see him yet. Are you his wife? Please come with me to my office” she gestured at Ava. Ava smiled as she was about leaving with the doctor Mr smith stopped them. “I am his father, my son is not married.” Ava was disappointed. ‘Oh c’mon man, was that even necessary’ she said to herself as she bit her lower lip in anger. “Oh alright then. This way please” the doctor left with the Smiths while the rest of them waited.
“Oh my god this is bad. I pray nothing happens to him” Ava said in panic. “Calm down Ava.” Clara said patting her gently on her shoulder. “Tell me exactly what happened to him” Ava was shocked, she just can’t believe her mom thinks she had done something to Alex. “Mom” she called out in disbelief. “Seriously? Are you suspecting I did something to him? My goodness I don’t believe my mom thinks I’m so desperate as to hurt someone for my own need. Mom I really love Alex I’ll never hurt him.” “Oh dear, I never said that.” Clara said moving close to Ava she whispered in her ears “I know you didn’t do anything to him, I just want you to tell me every single move you take on him. I am and will always be on your side my darling child.” She said smiling. Ava was pleased to hear those words, she smiled and said “that’s much better. I didn’t do anything to him I was only hoping we could work things out and possibly have a wonderful time together” she blushed and bit her lower lip, slightly embarrassed. Mr Smith came in and interrupts their little chit chat. He walked past them straight to the ward where Alex was admitted.
Alex was weak but he was able to smile at his parents. Ava moved quickly to him, held his hands up and said “thank God you’re awake. I was so worried about you. What happened to you? I found you…” Mr Smith interrupted her “that’s enough, Alex you’ll be discharged tomorrow, your mom will look after you while I go handle some work.” “I can stay with him” Ava cuts in sharply. “I’ll stay with him. Madam Smith I’ll stay with Alex for the night.” “I can’t trust the Jacobs with my son. Forget it.” Mr Smith said in disgust. “It’s fine. Let her stay with him. He’ll be safe.” She whispers into his ears and Mr Smith nods in agreement as they walk out of the door leaving Ava and her parents behind. As they left Ava smiled satisfactorily. “Alright Ava we should go now, please look after Alex.” Mr Jacob said as they left.
“So Alex it’s just you and me here now, tell me what happened to you. I was so worried when I found you in your room I had to bring to the the hospital first. What happened?” Alex tries to sit up “you brought me here?” Ava nodded in agreement. “I owe you Ava, I’ll find a way to repay you.” He said but Ava said quickly “oh c’mon Alex i don’t want anything from you in return. I was only helping out, you know I love you so much I can’t let anything bad happen to you. I’m sorry I didn’t come in on time” “I’m fine now we should talk about our date” Ava smiled “we’ll have to reschedule for next time, when you’re much better” Alex was pleased that Ava saved him. If she hadn’t come he’d have been dead, he needed to repay this lady. “Thank you for staying with me, please don’t leave me.” Ava was so full of emotions. She hugged him “I’m here, I’m not leaving you.”
