8. It's time

After spending far too much time cramped inside of the tiny office that I created for myself, I decided to have Alpha Xavier’s old office remodeled. Issac had told me that the large round window in the office used to hold a beautiful stained-glass design. When I hired the construction crew, they assured me that they had someone who would bring my vision to life. “The construction crew finished up yesterday and I’ve taken the liberty to have all of your documents moved upstairs into filing cabinets that are all labeled for you to find them easily,” Issac chirped. “Thank you, Issac. That makes things a lot easier for me.” Waddling up the steps, I was actually excited about seeing my new office. I’d finally accepted that if I were going to get my revenge, I needed this position of power to succeed. The CEO position would allow me the in to the United States and my charitable donations would buy my freedom. Me being Undetectable would just give me the perfect ability to fly under the radar. They would pay for everything that they’ve taken from me. One by one. But.... that was an issue for another day. Issac walked ahead of me, opening the door to my new office and stepping aside for me to walk inside, “Welcome to your new space,” he smiled warmly. I’d grown to appreciate Issac. At first, he acted very cold towards me, but slowly opened up. He was very helpful to me, taking care of anything that I needed beyond my Alpha duties. As I walked inside, the room was illuminated with an almost rainbow iridescence. The sun bleeding through the intricate spiderweb design of the circular window was breathtaking. “That’s even more beautiful than I imagined it would be.” “I agree. I love that you are bringing this place back to its original state. It was shameful that Xavier removed all traces of originality,” Issac scrunched his nose. I faintly remember when we visited here the first time, and I mentioned what a sin it was to get rid of the stained glass. Issac had agreed with me then. The room had been painted a bright gray tinted white and I had the long wood beams that were strewn across the ceiling to be stained a deep, chocolate stain. It gave the room a more rustic feel until you looked at the stunning stained-glass window. I’m just in awe staring at it. I needed to pay whoever did this extra for bringing my idea to life. I gave them a basic rundown of what I was thinking, unsure if it was even able to be done. The woman assured me that she could blow my mind, and that she did. “It feels nice to finally have this space really be my own. I will finally be able to focus on my work.” Issac nodded in agreement, “As far as work goes, this is your filing cabinet,” he paused, pulling open the top drawer, “Everything here pertains to the pack itself. Everyone’s files are in here, as well as any complaints that we receive. There aren’t many, but we allow the members to submit suggestions to improve pack life. “In here,” he closed the top drawer, pulling the bottom open, “Is everything that you need to know about our business’ in the United States. Grimes Construction is very anxiously awaiting the official meeting of their new CEO. You will work hand in hand with a man named Joel Harper. He is the second in command and has been picking up the slack in Xavier’s absence. The names of every charity that we donate to is in the red folder and the green folder is for Grimes Construction. The black folder contains the names of allies and enemies, here and in the United States. There are unfortunately many, but I wanted to give you the best shot at a knowledgeable start. You can study these in your free time to prepare for your trip to the States next month.” “Thank you, Issac. I will make sure to comb over these documents with precision. Take the rest of today off. Spend it with your mate. If I need anything, I will link Brody.” “Thank you Al....Brielle,” he smiled, leaving quickly and allowing me to enjoy the office. Lately, he had been spending so much time getting my affairs in order that I don’t think he spent more than a few hours a day at home. I’d met his mate once, her name was Alexandria, but she insisted I call her Alexa. The meeting was only in passing, but I hoped that once I pulled my head out of my ass, we could spend more time together. Issac was my right hand, and I was hopeful one day that I could trust him, even consider him a friend. I pulled out the folders from the top drawer, noticing how meticulously they were sorted. Everything was labeled in alphabetical order. There were so many names, I could keep track of everyone. Eventually, I would throw a party, hoping to put some faces to these names. I was better with my photographic memory than I was with words. The complaints ranged from simple things, like new food in the dining hall, to much larger things, like better accommodation for the warriors or larger spaces for the growing families that made up our omega population. I placed a sticky note on those two things, reminding myself to personally check out their living spaces. I had this nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach that given his view on lower ranking members, that he really paid no mind to their suggestions. Placing that one back into the top drawer, I moved on to the second drawer, losing myself in becoming familiar with the company. I had to be smart and cunning if I wanted them to believe that I was CEO material. That, and I needed this as my cover. “Goddamn, that window is something out of a movie,” Brody whispered, popping his head through the door to my office. I closed my eyes, smelling the delicious scent of Chinese food. “Did you bring my favorite?” My mouth was salivating from the smell. I already knew the answer to my question. “Do you really think that I, your best friend and future Uncle to those little Crab Rangoon loving fiends, would forget what you so desperately need to fuel growing those pups?” Brody winked, causing me to giggle. My body was going through some pretty intense cravings right now. I could eat my weight in Crab Rangoon. Brody brought me dinner one night from this little family run restaurant just outside of our territory and I haven’t been able to stop ordering from them. The older woman that runs it tells Brody that he is her favorite customer. He’d be my favorite customer if he spent hundreds of dollars a week at my little restaurant too. “You are the best.” “I know I am. I also brought you dessert this time,” he smiled, pulling out a box of my favorite caramels and three bags of original lifesavers. I always have a different reaction when he brings me the candy. Some days, I live for the moments where I lie back in bed, sucking on the candy, and imagining Sam or Nico in bed, worshipping me as they would. I’m not sure I would ever willingly admit that I had gotten myself off to the taste of candy. Then other days, I want to vomit from the taste, remembering that it’s just a false reality. Today, I’m going to choose the relief, because I deserve it. “Your mind looks like it’s distracted,” Brody raised a brow, sitting all of the food out on my desk and pulling up a chair. A blush crept onto my cheeks, and I avoided his questioning gaze. I cleared my throat, “Just been a busy day studying all of this bullshit that needs to be attended to once these two pups are out of me.” “Liar,” he spat, raising a brow. “Why do you say that?” “Brielle Graff, you cannot lie to me. Your avoiding eye contact and your voice cracks when you lie,” Brody chastised as I felt myself shrinking under his gaze. “Fine. I might enjoy the candy beyond its taste.” I wanted to climb into a hole and remain there for the rest of my life. How f*****g embarrassing is that? Brody’s lips curled into a smirk, “Well, in that case, I will buy you candy every day,” he hissed, swallowing hard. His eyes swirled with Jace’s, and I knew he was imagining what I would do to myself. Brody was never shy about his attraction to me, and he was a man.... Plain and simple. Deep down, they were all the same at the root. Animals with primal needs. “You are always exploiting people’s weakness,” I growled, biting into one of the Crab Rangoon while it was still hot. “I would hardly call getting off to the taste of candy a weakness. That’s sexy as hell,” he returned, his mouth full of food, “Can I ask you an honest question though?” “Why do you even ask if you can ask? You’re going to whether or not I say no.” He chuckled, dropping a piece of rice out of his mouth, “How the hell do you reach yourself around your belly?” My cheeks flamed. It was a logical question, but I’m not sure I was ready to have a conversation with Brody on how I managed to finger f**k myself while pregnant. “I make it work.” He chuckled again, “If you ever need help, I’m down the hall and happy to make you feel better than you’ve ever felt before,” he winked, “I’ve got two really capable hands and can reach all the angles that you are unable to reach yourself.” Brody held up his hand, curling his index finger slowly, just as he would if it was inside of me. My eyes widened, staring at him. I threw the Rangoon in my hand at him, but he dodged it. Instant regret settled in as I watched it tumble to the ground, now unable to be eaten by myself. He narrowed his eyes, grabbing one of his and handing it over, “You’re lucky I know those pups need this. I’m only giving this to them, because you,” he pointed a finger at me, “Don’t deserve it.” I shook my head, grabbing it from him quickly and scarfing down the rest of our food. We walked down the stairs together. Brody insists on walking in front of me when we’re going down and behind me when we’re going up in case I were to fall. The stairs were narrow and winding, and I won’t lie, have become difficult to utilize in the last few weeks. The two of us stopped outside of my suite, “Thank you for dinner. I appreciate it,” I paused, narrowing my eyes at him, “And the candy. I will enjoy it.” “Anytime,” he shouted, walking towards his room, “Don’t worry about me, I will be down the hall, jerking off to the idea of you touching yourself while sucking on that candy,” he winked, causing my cheeks to heat once again. I disappeared behind my own door, shaking my head. As much as he embarrassed me, I was so happy to see a glimpse of the old Brody coming back to life. I missed him. Slipping out of my clothes, I laid back on the bed, pulling out the candy. There is nothing wrong with imagining your mates while you get off. The only difference is that mine are dead and I’m using candy to bring their memory to life. I grabbed one of the caramels, popping it in my mouth as I reached around my swollen belly. I’m not going to lie, it wasn’t an easy task, but lately, my body needed to release. I was constantly horny, flooded with the typical roller coaster of emotions from being pregnant. My fingers dipped below the fabric of my panties, feeling how ready I already was. I closed my eyes, seeing Nico’s icy blue orbs staring back at me. f**k, I could get lost in those eyes. Sliding a finger inside of my opening felt amazing. I desperately needed to get a vibrator for the future. Swirling slowly as I moved my finger in and out, I sucked on the sea salt caramel, imagining Sam ravening my core. The pressure built beautifully, and I added another finger, moaning at the intrusion. ‘c*m for me, baby girl,’ Nico’s voice flitted in my head, deep and alluring. I could feel the heat from his breath tickle my ear. His mark had long faded, but I reached up, pressing my fingers where it once rested. “Oh f**k,” the orgasm was almost there, the wave was reaching the peak before it crashed over my body, sending tiny sparks of electricity throughout every nerve ending. But just as I felt like I was at the top, warm liquid spilled onto my hand. And not the good kind. My eyes widened, sitting up quickly. The bed was thoroughly soaked, as was my hand. ‘Brody, I need you.’ I heard him chuckle, sounding out of breath, ‘Change your mind, sweetheart?’ ‘No, f**k, it’s time.’
