After finding Zander in that part of the mountains, Zab and Alex temporarily asked the boy not to use his powers unless they are training. Yes, the training started early for the young prince; even when he started school in a normal environment, he would still have vigorous training at home.
When Zander was around grade school, he was finally being able to have friends his age who was his age and doesn’t bow down to him. He was doing well in his studies and was seen with great potential.
When he was in high school, he went to the high school where the other wolves are going. He lived a life of a cliché popular guy in high school that was like by many. He was surrounded by the current Beta and the Delta’s children as well as his cousins Shanaia and Crane.
His older sister and their youngest aunt were both homeschooled and still not able to leave the castle’s perimeter.
**********************************.
One day in school, Zander was in the student’s lounge, doing his papers when his friends came up to him.
“Hey!”
Jake, the current Beta’s son called.
“What are you up to?”
Asked by the Delta’s daughter, Sera.
“Can’t you two see the papers I am working on which you two should be working on as well,” Zander said.
“You’re no fun,” Sera whined.
“The boys from the swimming team are having a party. We should go.” Jake said.
“Yeah, Mikee is going.”
Then Shanaia and Crane joined them.
“Hey heard about the party?” Shanaia asked as soon as she sat down.
“I do now,” Zander said.
“Come on, cousin. It’ll be fun.”Crane added.
Zander put down his pen and looked at his friends.
“I am on brother duty since we have no training today,” Zander told them.
“The more reason you can go. You have no training. If it’s Zari and Calie, we can bring them.” Jake said and Zander whipped his head towards him.
“Are you mental? Do you want me to get incinerated by my own parents and grandparents?” Zander stressed.
“But I’m sure they would love to be there,” Jake said wiggling his eyebrows.
************************.
Around six in the evening and they just had dinner, the adults are having a meeting. Zander just entered their apartment but then his sister blocked him dressed in like she was going somewhere.
“You will take us with you.” Zari blurted and Zander was surprised, looking at his sister up and down.
“W-What? Take you where?” Zander asked.
“I have seen it, Zander. You’re going to sneak into a party and I want you to take me and Calie.” Zari said and it surprised Zander more.
“Wait, wait. You saw me going to the party? But I turned the invitation down, Zari.” He told his sister.
Zari smirked and then she waved a phone with a message flashing; a message saying that Zander will come to the party.
Zander’s eyes widened and then glared at his sister.
“Are you crazy?! I can’t sneak out? And I will definitely not going to sneak you and Calie out of the castle. Our parents are going to kill me.” Zander hissed.
“No, they’re not. I’ve seen this and it’s going to be okay.”
Then there was a knock on the door and a teenage girl with silvery-white hair came in. She was wearing ripped jeans, a red tank top, and red stilettos. After seeing her, Zander groaned.
“Oh, my goddess. You two are going to get me killed.” Zander whined.
“That’s okay. I can just bring you back.” Calie said, smiling sweetly making Zander gape at her.
******************************.
Zander ended up taking Zari and Calie. He just opened a portal towards outside the protective line, and that is where Jake and Sera picked them up.
“This is so exciting.” Sera squealed.
“Yey,” Zander said unenthusiastically and Jake chuckled.
“Come on Zander, you should be excited about this. You were the bomb in junior year and now you’re being an uptight bummer.” Sera said.
“Yeah, that is because my carelessness almost got us all killed last year,” Zander grumbled.
“And yet we didn’t.”
“Come on, Zander. Parties are exciting. I watched so many series and movies that I can’t wait to see what a real party looks like.” Calie said.
“Yeah, it’s not like those kids there can hurt us,” Zari added.
Zander turned towards his aunt and sister.
“They can’t, but our parents can.” Zander hissed.
“They won’t. Let’s just enjoy the night. And who knows we might meet our mates there.” Sera chirped, and the others cheered but Zander just rolled his eyes.
When they got to their destination, Zander was confused as to why they are at the lake.
“Uhm, why the hell are we here?” He asked.
“It’s the swimming team’s party, so of course, there will be some water,” Sera told him, and then Jake parked his truck.
Sera was the first one to get out of the truck, followed by Zari and the others. Zander was the last one to climb out of the truck. Zari and Calie looked thrilled to see kids their age mingle with everyone and have fun.
Red cups littered everywhere as the kids from their school get wasted, dance to loud music around the huge bonfire, some are swimming on the lake and just plain have fun. Zander looked around and then familiar faces approached them. It was Dylan who is Jake’s cousin, Lancy who is Sera’s younger sister, and Mikee, the general’s son.
Shanaia and Crane also joined them, and both looked like they had a few drinks already.
“Glad you could make it, Zander,” Lancy said and then her eyes fell on Zari and Calie.
“Oh my god. You brought them along? This is so lit!” Lancy exclaimed as Zari and Calie waved at her.
“I know right. They can finally feel how to live.” Shanaia joked.
“Come on; let’s get you some drinks ladies,” Dylan said, leading Zari and Calie towards the buffet table. Shanaia followed them too, leaving Crane with the boys.
Zander looked worried as he watches their backs.
“Come now Zander, loosen up. Let’s enjoy the night.” Jake told Zander.
“Jake’s right. The night is young; we’re young, party like no tomorrow.” Mikee said and hands them some cans of beer.
“Party, party, yeah!” Crane yelled.
Zander huffed and he opened the can and chugged down its contents. As he continues to drink, Zander begins to loosen up and mingle with his school friends. He also begins to speak to girls as he and the boys hoped to find their mates there.
Everything was going fine until they saw several trucks arrive, and Zander sensed that the newcomers were werewolves from a different pack.
“I think you didn’t mention that there will be wolves from another pack,” Zander said as he looks intently at the newcomers.
“Because I have no idea myself,” Jake said through his gritted teeth.
“And it seems like they didn’t get any permission to cross borders,” Mikee said and Crane lowly growled.
They stood there and watch as the warriors’ kids from their pack stepped forward and meet the newcomers.
“I believe you are far from your territory.” Louis, the warrior in training said.
Then the newcomers laughed. As Zander looks at them, he can tell that they are all high-ranking wolves. The tallest one, who exudes the scent of an Alpha, poked Louis’ chest.
“And so? What are you going to do about it?” The Alpha’s son asked.
“I would like to ask you to leave our territory,” Louis said.
“How about no? We like to party and I heard there are lots of pretty girls here. You’re not the only one who wanted to get laid.”
Jake couldn’t take the disrespect he just had to step in. He stood in between Louis and the Alpha’s son.
“With all due respect, as an Alpha’s son, I know you know that it is forbidden to cross borders without permission. I suggest you turn around and go home.” Jake told them.
The Alpha’s son sniffed him and smirked.
“A Beta, tsk. But we only wanted to have fun.” He said.
“Don’t be rude to send away guests.” The one beside the Alpha’s son said.
Based on his aura and scent, he is the beta’s son.
“Protocols are protocols, please leave,” Jake said, keeping his face straight.
When the Alpha’s son growled lowly, Mikee and other wolves came over and stood in front of the newcomers who immediately barred their canines at them.
The other wolves who are sensing the impending fight urged the other kids to leave, but then they are still partying. Sensing and seeing the situation, Zari stepped up and compelled everyone to leave.
When the crowd started to lessen, that is when a fight broke out and the kids run around like headless chickens as they try to escape. The newcomers threw the first punch, but Jakes and the others are ready for them and fought them, physically. And as the fight happens, Zander and Crane stood on the sidelines.
“Are we going to join or not?” Crane asked.
“If one dares to shift in a fistfight,” Zander said taking a sip of his beer.
And just as he said those words, the Alpha’s son who was losing against Jake, a beta, attacked and shifted midair. Seeing it, Zander hissed, and then in a blink of an eye, he appeared in front of Jake and he swatted the wolf as if he was a fly.
“That’s enough!” Zander growled as his eyes turned icy blue and everyone submitted to him.
The Alpha’s son who is still in his wolf form, whimpered; exposing his neck. He was trying to fight it, but one look from Zander and he gave in. Then Zari and the girls approached them, just in time for the pack warriors and the General to arrive.
Seeing his father, Mikee tried to hide.
“Don’t even try to hide I already smelled your scent, all of you in fact,” Jayson said, looking at each and every one of them.
*****************************.
“I hope none of this happens again, Alpha. Thank you.”
As soon as Creon put down the phone, he looked up to his children, his nephew, niece, and younger sister. Joshen, Brian, and Jayson are also there glaring at their own children.
“What dare you to sneak out and go to a party in the lake of all places?! What if rogues attacked you or newborns?! You even brought Zari and Calie!” Creon snarled.
Zander and the other kept their heads down.
“Alpha Corey was sorry for what his son acted but that doesn’t mean you are not in the wrong! A lot can happen and we wouldn’t have known!”
Creon then huffed and leaned back against his chair. Then the door of Creon’s office slammed open and then Zab and Alex came in. Zab’s pink eyes were glaring towards her children.
“Are you hurt?” She asked through her gritted teeth.
Zander and Zari profusely shook their heads.
“Good, because all of you are grounded until I say so. No gadgets, no anything. After school, all of you will be expected to come home.” Zab said and Zander and the others looked at her gaping.
Creon sighed and then he motioned for the others to leave. Joshen, Brian, and Jayson led their children out of the office, and by the looks of it they will also scold them, big time.
“But mom...” Zander started but one glare from his mother made Zander bite his lips and lower his head.
Zari was about to speak but Zab growled at her.
“I know you asked your brother to take you but that doesn’t mean he did nothing wrong. And that made you both wrong.” Zab hissed at her daughter and then she also looked at her sister.
“You both know that you are forbidden to leave the castle premises, and yet you still did! Did you even think what could happen if rogues or any of our enemies got a whiff of you two?” Alex hissed.
“We just want to feel how to be normal,” Calie said.
“Well, news flash sister; we are not normal and never will be!” Zab snapped.
Then the door opened once again and Alpha Lord Liam came in.
“Calina, let’s go home. Your mother is waiting.” Alpha Liam said and Calie’s shoulder sagged.
Alpha Liam also looked at his children.
“You can scold your children tomorrow. Let them rest now.” Alpha Liam said as Calie walked towards him.
Alex heaved a deep sigh and then he opened a portal that leads to the castle. Then Zari and Cali were the first ones to go into the portal, followed by Zander. Zab rubbed her forehead and followed her children.
Creon stood up and gave his father a curt bow. And then Alpha Liam gave his shoulder a squeeze as he went into the portal.
“Good luck to us parents,” Alex said, giving his brother a pat on the shoulder.
Then he went into the portal, and it closes behind him. Once alone with his children, Creon let out a huffed.
“Go to your room. Now.” He said and in a blink of an eye, Shanaia and Creon rushed out of their father’s office.
