After the sealing ceremony, Zab and Alex took her children to the pack doctors to have them checked.
“How are they?” Zab asked.
“The princess and the young prince are both alright, your highness.” The pack doctor said and Zab finally was able to sigh in relief.
“So the sealing ceremony did not affect Zari? She wasn’t hurt?” Alex asked.
“No, your highness. I believe Lady Amara’s spell of sealing only sealed what was intended to seal. No harm done to the children’s body.” The pack doctor said, and then Alex looked at Zab.
“No need to worry now. They are alright.” Alex said and Zab nodded.
****************************.
After checking with the pack doctor, they went back to their apartment. As the next in line to the throne, they get to have a whole wing just for them where their luxurious apartment was in. And when they got inside their apartment, they immediately took their children to their rooms to let them sleep, before they decided to take a rest on the living room’s red couch.
“Zabrina, now that we are sure that our children are alright I think you should apologize to our mother,” Alex said.
Zab crossed her arms over her chest.
“Why should I? I never said anything that isn’t true. If she was hurt, it’s because I made her realize that her decisions are not always for the best.” Zab said.
“But that’s what she thought. She is also the Queen and what you showed earlier is plain disrespectful.”
Then Zab huffed and stood up.
“If you want to apologize, you apologize.” Zab hissed and walked towards their bedroom, slamming the door behind her.
“Why did I even bother when being stubborn runs through their veins?” He mumbled and then he stood up and then he told the servants to watch over their children before he left their apartment.
Meanwhile, in the Queen’s office, Alpha Liam has been wiping his mate’s eyes off the tears that continued to roll down.
“Camilla stopped crying.” Alpha Liam said.
“If something happened to my grandchildren it’ll be my fault.” Camilla cried.
“I tried to warn you beforehand, but I didn’t know that you kept it from your daughter.” Lady Amara said.
“I didn’t tell her because I thought what you said won’t happen. But I guess I was wrong again. Why am I doing such a bad job at being a mother?” Camilla cried louder and Alpha Liam pulled her into his chest.
“You are not a bad mother, my Queen. Your choices are just sometimes not the best one.” Alpha Liam said and Queen Camilla cried harder.
Lady Amara rolled her eyes.
“You on the other hand Alpha Liam, are bad at making someone stop crying.” Lady Amara said and Alpha Liam glared at her.
Lady Amara shrugged and then she stood up.
“I better go home and avoid the princess’ wrath, just in case. Anyway, are you still needing my apprentices' help for Prince Creon?” Lady Amara asked but Camilla didn’t answer her as she was still busy crying.
“Just leave us some of them. I’m sure they will be enough help.” Alpha Liam said and then Lady Amara gave him a curt nod and left the office.
After lady Amara left, there was a knock on the door.
“Come in.”
Then the door opened and Camilla immediately pulled away from her husband’s chest when she smelled her son’s scent. Alex closed the door behind him as he approaches them.
“Alex...”
“I came to apologize to how I acted earlier, mother,” Alex said, lowering his head.
Camilla got up from the couch and approached Alex, cupping her face and making him look at her.
“No, no need to apologize my son. It was my fault. Are the children okay? They weren’t hurt?” She said and Alex shook his head.
“They are both alright and sleeping in their rooms,” Alex told her.
“How about Zab? Is she okay?”
“Zab is pretty much pissed and refused to apologize. Once she had her rest, I will talk to her.” Alex said and Camilla sighed shakes her head.
“I understand her, so you don’t need to talk to her about it,” Camilla said and then she turned around and sighed.
“Now, I want you to watch over your family and help your father with everything here in the kingdom while I check on your brother in Texas.” The Queen said.
“I can help you there –“
“Your family needs you here. I will take the twins instead so they can grow some sense of responsibility.” The Queen said and then she turned back towards Alex.
“I trust you to know what to do, Alex.”
***********************************.
When the night came, Zab went to Zander’s room and just watch her son sleep. She was fixing his blanket when the door opened and Zari came in.
“Mommy...” The little girl called.
Zab turned around and then she crouched down and pick up her daughter.
“Yes baby, what’s wrong?” She asked as she stood up.
“I heard you are mad at grandma because of what happened,” Zari said and Zab was taken back.
“Where did you hear that?” Zab asked her daughter.
“I heard you and daddy earlier.”
Zab heaved a deep sigh after hearing her daughter.
“You don’t need to worry about it, Zari. Grandma and I just had a misunderstanding and mommy is upset about it.” Zab said.
“Is it because the sealing affected me as well?” Zari asked and Zab was taken back again.
“I actually saw it happen but I didn’t tell you. Are you mad at me too, mommy?” She asked and Zab pulled her in a hug.
“No baby. Don’t worry about it. Come on, let’s get you to bed.”
******************************.
Zab has reflected on her actions with her mother and she has been meaning to talk to her but the Queen has left to help Creon in Texas. And when they came back, the whole Kingdom rejoiced for the victory of their Alpha Prince and for finally having his Luna.
And while everyone was busy preparing for Creon’s wedding with Sahara, Zab finally got the guts to talk to her mother. She went to her office and approached the Queen with her head hanging low.
“Mom... I Uhm... I just want to –“
Before Zab could finish her sentence; she felt her mother’s warm arms wrapped around her, pulling her in a hug.
“Don’t worry about it. I am the one at fault; I should be the one to apologize. I’m so sorry for everything.” Queen Camilla told her daughter.
Hearing her mother apologize, Zab hugged her back.
**************************.
Months passed and it was Creon’s wedding. Everyone was excited about the wedding, especially Zab who finally got what she wanted; for her brother to marry Sahara.
Zab was checking on the venue and the guests with her son, Zander when Zari came running towards her.
“Mommy!”
“Yes, baby?”
“Mommy, I found Uncle Creon’s wedding rings. I’m so good at finding things now, mommy.” Zari chirped while Zab’s eye twitched.
“Where did you find the rings, baby?” Zab asked.
“In the kitchen, mommy and then I gave it to Auntie Jasmine to give it back to Uncle Lykos and Uncle Lynox,” Zari told her.
Zab smiled at her daughter and kissed the top of her head.
“Go find grandma and grandpa. Stay with them because I need to speak with your uncles.” She told her daughter.
“Okay, mommy.” Zari chirped and then she hopped her way towards her grandparents.
Then Zab used her nose to track her brothers. And when she found them, they are with Econ and the others and she stalked her way towards them.
“TWINS!”
The twins immediately paled when they heard Zab's ferocious growl. They both turned around and saw their older sister fuming with the baby giggling in her arms.
Then they immediately ran for their lives. Zab was about to chase after them when she remembered she has Zander in her arms. She internally cursed and thought of just using her power to pull them back. But then she was stunned to see a portal open right in front of the twins.
They went into the portal and came out right in front of Zab. Both the twins and Zab are stunned with what happened, and then Zander squealed and started clapping his little hands.
“Did he just open a portal?” Alex asked as he just approached his wife.
“I think so,” Zab mumbled.
Then the twins pivoted and tried to run again. So Zab hands Zander to Alex and she chased after her brothers. Then Zander giggled again and a portal opened in front of Zari and she came out right in front of the twins.
The twins, surprised by what happened halted their steps and tried to turn around but them, Zab was able to grab into their coats and she pulled them back.
“You idiots!” Zab growled and then she threw both on the ground.
“We didn’t mean to! We're sorry!” The twins exclaimed but their sister still beat the crap out of them, making Zander giggle.
So when the wedding began, the twins are sporting a pair of healing scratches and bruises while Zab was busy blowing raspberry kisses on Zander’s stomach.
