'So, tell me, honey, what's going on between you and Chris?' Sue suddenly asked. I looked around quickly to make sure none of the girls heard her. How did she know some thing was going on? 

Apart from that one time in the kitchen, She hadn't seen any thing...But then again, that moment was probably enough to make any one think any thing.

'Ummm...N-nothing' I told her, still making sure none of the girls was with in hearing distance to actually hear her say that. She tutted and rolled eyes at me. 'What?'

'Honey, I know my son well enough to know when some thing is on his mind and when some thing isn't right.' I sighed. Oh, what ever, like Chris cares enough about me to be bothered by any thing to do with me. 'Sweetie, what is it?'

'Like Chris ever cared enough to be bothered about me' I mumbled. She looked at me and grabbed my hands in hers. 'He just wants me to be a secret while he plays happy families'. 

'Tracy, Listen to me, Chris doesn't like to admit it some times but he is a nice guy. He really does feel bad for what he's putting you through. He knows its not fair to you, but please trust him when he says he has his reasons'. I looked at her. I know she hates Janet more than any one, so, why was she even sticking up for him.

'And what magic reason is that? What reason could Chris have for letting her back?' She sighed. 'No one will tell me. And that's because there isn't a good reason'. I shouldn't really take it out on Sue, but, Even though she's his mum, she can't be happy with this choice he's making. She didn't answer me. 'You are just as bad as the rest of them. I thought you of all people Sue would see my side in this'. She looked shocked.

'I do see it, honey-'

'Forget it;' I stood up and started walking away from her. I could see the girls coming back over to us, laughing and caring the smooth's they had left us to get.

'Tracy wait. You need to understand this. It's complicated for every one.' I stopped and turned. By this time the girls were back over by us. And could hear every thing.

'NO! It's not. He's keeping some thing from me. So are you. He wants me to be his girl friend, yet, he cant even tell me why his wife is back at home.' I turned again to leave when she called me back once more.

'She's pregnant!'......
