Chapter Eleven
'Wh-What?' I stared, clueless at her. I can't believe what she just told me. He got her pregnant. How could he do that? She wasn't showing so she wasn't that far along then. A month or two at most!...
Which meant, they would have had to have slept together RIGHT BEFORE we met. LIke... Days before at most!
'Sue, Chris didn't want her to know till he found a way of telling her himself', Kayla moaned. I turned to look at her. She knew as well. And she didn't tell me? She's supposed to be my best friend. 'I'm sorry. Bryce told me, he asked me not to tell you.' I shook my head.
'What ever. Like I said before, Me and Chris aren't together. Can we just get on with our shopping please' I tried to make like every thing was ok 'Please'? They all nodded and we carried on around the shops, getting nice new outfits for tonight.
The girls told me they're taking me out for my birthday, but I didn't feel much like celebrating any more. Eventually, the girls agreed we had spent too much of the guy's money and that it was time to go home.
'Get into the bath room'. Some one whispered harshly in my ear, but I could tell who it was and ignored him. But as I went to step away, He roughly grabbed my arm and dragged me into the bath room, slamming the door behind us. I walked over and leaned against the far wall. I wasn't afraid of him, but he had no right to touch me like that.
'What do you want?' He walked over to me and put an arm either side of my head, leaning in closer, making me lean my head back against the wall, away from his.
'My mom seems to have told you my secret.' I looked at him.
'You mean the fact you knocked your wife up, she mentioned it'. He slid one of his hands down the wall before lifting it again and running it across my bottom lip, I turned my head, away from his touch.
'Why does it bother you, you said you didn't want me'.I huffed at him.
'I didn't say I didn't want you, said I couldn't be with you, I have to get ready for tonight'. He didn't move. 'Chris, let me leave'. He stepped away from me and moved aside. I quickly left the bath room and headed back to my bed room.
As I closed the do, I ran over to my bed and jumped down on it, and started crying. Why was this affecting me so much?
'Tracy?' Victor was knocking on my door. He arrived while we were all out apparently. When I didn't answer, he knocked again. Louder this time. I wiped my eyes and sat up.
'Yeah?' The door opened and he popped his head in, smiling.
'Hey, the girls said its time for you to get ready, you're leaving soon'. I nodded and slid off my bed, walking over to where the shopping bags were. 'What are you wearing tonight?' He asked. I turned around and showed him. It was just a gothic/skater/emo dress with a spiderweb netting skirt and corset styled top. It looked awesome.
'This' He smiled and nodded in approvement. I smiled and laid it out on the bed.
'He's not a bad guy you know?' I turned to look at him.
'Why does every one keep saying that?' I asked sadly, sitting down on the edge of the bed. I wasn't mad any more, I was just sad.
'Because he's not. Look at it this way, would you think it was alright if he just made her go through this alone? if he refused to even acknowledge this child exists?' When he put it that way, I guess not. I shook my head. 'So, why are you giving him a hard time over it. You don't like Janet, that understandable, but right now, She has to stay in Chris' life, so he can make sure he's going to be in his babies life.' I looked down. Now Victor puts it this way, he is making the right choice by him and his baby.
'But....Why did he keep it from me, maybe I wouldn't be so mad if he actually came out and told me'.
'Maybe he should have, but he didn't want to hurt you'. I was feeling worse and worse by the second for the way I had treated him.
'He said he wants to be with me but.....'
'But?'
'I can't be with him while she's around'. He sighed and put an arm over my shoulder.
'She's always going to be around. If you really want Chris, you'll just have to learn to live with it' I nodded. I'd never get used to it, but as long as she was here, I wouldn't even try to. 'Now any way, you have to get dressed so, I'll see you later'. With that, he stood up and left the room.
'Bye Victor.' I called and stood up and began to get ready for the night...
