Loona's Pov
"Hybrid."
At first glance I could tell she was a hybrid. Werewolf blood stream within her veins but there was something else as well. Something more prominent it raised the hairs of my skin. It can become hard to spot if one isn't trying so hard.
Abel nods his head in comprehension. He slides the window that was once open, close, turning to stack his books properly on his desk. "Anything else?"
I wave my head to the side. "Not really. But judging by how you reacted, I assume you already knew what she was."
The silver headed man smirks. Laying on the bed with an eye roll, I stare at the ceiling with zero amusement. As expected of a higher ranked Alpha. Subtle or not, nothing goes past him.
Sometimes I wonder why he chooses to play dumb in front of Elka. Speaking of which. After dismissing my presence from said girl and the weird friend, I sauntered straight to Abel's house to fill him in with the news regarding the hybrid girl who goes by the name of Van. But of course, I guess it was just a waste of time. Considering he already knew that.
"Elka's with this dude by the way. He came up to us and said he wanted to talk to her. Mentioned something about being her childhood friend, I'm not sure. Tall, handsome and fair skin. " I absentmindedly tap the bottom of my chin in thought. "What was his name again? Demon? Damon? Oh right. Daron. "
Abel slowly turns around with a glare. "What did you say?"
There's no mistaking that low voice of a growl's related to something personal. Did I perhaps say something wrong? Oh. Wait. Come to think of it. I don't think Daron's a normal human being as to what Elka believes.
I don't need to look up to know he's fuming with rage and perhaps a tinge of jealousy?Abel's so predictable when it comes to Elka.
"I'd skedaddle if I were you." I murmer under my breath, burying my face against the pillow and closing my eyes. "Wouldn't want anyone stealing her you know."
And with that, footsteps reign before the sound of the door closing dismisses our conversation. I exhale in satisfaction by the silence. Finally, I can rest peacefully.
But for some odd reason, I have a feeling something bad's going to happen soon.

Elka's Pov
It was two years prior before we entered junior Highschool when conflict fell within Daron's parents. And because of that, he was told to stop hanging out with us.
I'm partially satisfied and unsatisfied. When he apologized, I thought I'd be getting a complete explanation but I guess that was just wishful thinking.
I let out a little smile after hearing his side of the story. This should be enough. Because even if I wanted to hear everything, I know I should t overstep my boundaries. Hopefully when the time comes, he can share me his problems without any problem.
"I know my explanation doesn't suffice but I really hope.....we can be friends again."
I'd be a bad person if I don't accept him.
"I'd like that."
Nothing in the world feels better than fixing a misunderstanding and gaining an old friend back. It's too soon to accept him again, I know, but I don't care. It's better than not having him at all. At least now, I'm aware he was living with guilt for what he had done.
Daron had suggested we go to a nearby coffee shop that way he'd be able to tell me properly.
"So um... I see you've become close with Abel." A nervous laugh echoes through the now comfortable ambiance. "I remember how you two used to hate each other back then."
"I still hate him."
"Right." He chuckles." I'll go get you some cake. Wait here."
I can't stop the blush from rising up my neck. Even throughout those years when we stopped talking, I admit there were occasions I'd sneak a glimpse of him from time to time around school. Daron remained being the considerate and kind person. Almost everyone in school knows him for being a complete angel.
I huff my cheeks and blow a hair away. I wonder what his parents went through that led to Daron distancing himself. If it reached that point, then it must be really something unreasonable.
"Elka."
I turn around only to see Abel crossing his arms with a look of irritation blasting his face. What's he doing here? How on earth did he know I was here?
"You-" I gasp when a sudden thought plummets in, causing me to whisper shriek. "You did not just sniff me all the way here did you?"
He arches a brow up which causes me to groan. If there was one thing I hated the most about werewolves, it's their ability to capture a person's scent whenever they want to.
And God knows how sensitive their noses are. What if I hadn't taken a bath for days and they suddenly use that on me? How embarrassing would that be?
I don't have the most pleasant odor when I don't shower. Forever that'll be a curse that's incurable.
Daron comes back with a blueberry cake not a minute too soon. He acknowledges Abel's presence with a nervous smile as he settles the cake in front of me.
It looks delicious. The cream in between the puffs of clouds looks sugary and the coating designs are appealing to the eye. There are three blueberries on the top to finish the gorgeous look.
"We're leaving."
Before I can even take a bite, Abel slams the spoon down and drags me up.
"W-wait!" I whisper a bunch of protests only to be ignored. Daron opens and closes his mouth, wanting to say something but is unable to.
The last sight I see as I'm dragged out the door of the shop is Daron's once beautiful ebony eyes turning a mysterious shade of purple.
