It's a full moon. Coincidence? Maybe not. I'm not surprised to see Van here. Given that Mrs Parker wouldn't let the chance slip after I had told her about Van. The place's beginning to swarm with visitors. After grabbing myself a few snacks from the kitchen, I decided to look for the birthday boy that's yet to be seen. On my mission of doing so, I accidentally bump into someone. "I'm so sorry. I didn't see you. Are you okay?" Deja vu much? Daron's eyes brightens up when he realizes it's just me and not some random stranger. I heave the audacity to scan him up and down, secretly admiring how handsome he looks right now. Are those earrings though? Abel has them but I never would've thought Daron would get them as well. He's afraid of needles. I snap out of it. "You made it." "I did since you begged me to come." Guess it's true when they say 'clothes make a man'. He's acting more confident than usual. I like this side of him. "My eyes are up here." "You look beautiful." Nothing's burning. So why on earth am I suddenly feeling hot? I clear my throat, awkwardly gesturing towards the venue crowded with mingling guests. "I know right? Auntie did an awesome job picking out the decors. Just wait until you see the cake though. You'll be stunned." Daron let's out a chuckle from my failed attempt of redirecting his statement. He hums." It's beautiful.. But you're gorgeous." "I..should probably check up on the birthday boy. I'll catch you later." I feel like I'll end up turning into a tomato if I keep talking to him. I'm already uncomfortable with this dress. Things like these were never on my 'to like' lists. It makes me feel too girly and almost cringe worthy. Not to mention this heels are hard to walk on. I've seen people wear these type of heels on a daily basis. Seriously, how do they not die? I'd take them off but Mrs Parker's eyes are everywhere. She'll find me if I try to mess with my current figure. The party's smoothly and the guests are entertained. Time's ticking with twenty minutes on the clock. Abel's probably still in his changing room since I can't find him anywhere. Loona suddenly waves for me from the other side of the room, expression twisted with appears to be annoyance. She's been moving around and about with those heels and It's confusing me. "Something wrong?" "I can't find Clever. I left him in the changing room with Abel for a minute but when I came back, he was gone." Clever, Loona's four year old brother who's just too mischievous for his age. He likes fooling around when no ones looking, but acts like a complete angel in front of Mrs Parker and his parents. As she says that, Mrs Parker appears on the top of the podium with a glass of champagne in her hand, tinkling it for attention. "Thank you all for being here to celebrate my son's, Abel Jeon Parker, becoming of age ceremony. The count down will commence in ten minutes but please. Grab some wine, help yourselves with our exclusive appetizers cooked by our high chefs and enjoy the night." Loona grabs my shoulders. "I'll find Abel and you take care of that little monster." The term 'monster' is a little bit of an understatement don't ya think? "He'll listen to you." She assures me. But her actions don't exactly correlate with her words. It's as if she's sending me to my doom. "He always does. Just find him. I'll go search for Abel there." And so the swift switchero took place. Clever's no where to be seen in the playground. He's not in the dressing room. Neither in the man's comfort room. I've searched the whole floor we're at but to no avail. There's two minutes before we begin countdown. I wonder if Loona's found Abel already. A little giggle. Below the table. I've heard it way too many times to not recognize it. I get to my knees to investigate the source only to find the boy I've been looking for. "Noona!*" *A term used for younger boys towards a girl who's older than them. A form of respect. Clever crawls out of his hiding spot before rushing to crush me in a hug, wrapping his little arms around me. "I missed you, Noona!" My hair. My hair. My hair. My hair. My dress. My make up! "My....I missed you too baby." Clever pulls back with a pout on his lips. "I'm not a baby anymore." This is why no one can stay mad at him. No matter how many pranks he pulls out his sleeves, there's not a single human or werewolf that can resist his cuteness. "You're right. You're not a baby." Might as well just go with the flow. "Everyone! The time we've all been waiting for has finally come!" On cue, the lights go off as a huge digital clock commence count down. I swivel through the crowds towards Loona with Clever in my arms. She smiles at me momentarily before glaring at her brother in my arms, who just cutely curls into my embrace. Count down begins and I can practically feel every she wolves' excitement bouncing of the room like a rocket. This should be interesting. Mrs Parker's invited almost every one we know and also from the neighbouring territory. Not to forget those she's been setting up dates with Abel for the last couple of months. They're all here. "He's starting to look around." Loona whispers. We're situated at the very back of the circling crowd. Abel's eyes are wondering, searching through the sea of people beginning to count. "Twelve!" "He probably feels her presence already." I lean back. "I wonder who she is." "Me too. At least we know they're present." "Nine!...Eight!.... Seven!....Six!..." "They'll have a hard time with him." She says. "He's a possesive one." I let out a laugh of disbelief. I can never imagine Abel being the possesive type. "Three! Two!." I feel uneasy though. I wonder why. "One! Happy Birthday!" My smile vanishes when his eyes finds mine.
