Elka's POV
The wind was chill, and the stars burned with the brilliant sapphire pallor of electric light.
Stars winked at me from the endless arch of void-black beyond the moon’s corona. In places they were birthstone-blue and beautiful, all a-glitter in their heavenly finery. The ones furthest away, almost outside the span of human comprehension, were like flashing pinpricks in a veil of darkness. They had a faint, silver tint and they looked like they were the distant, glittering sparks from angel fire. All of them were beacons of hope for all the lost souls of the world, or so I thought. It seemed to me that there was a snowfall sparkling in outer space and I felt privileged to witness it.
We were now on our way to the said arcade.
Honestly, I was surprised when Loona appeared in front of is all of a sudden.
Although I longed that she would remember me, it turned out not to be the case. Of course she approached us because she knew I was working for Abel.
The curse will affect everyone in their family and she wants exempted.
Loona ended up clicking with my brothers in an instant. Especially Clever.
They are actually ahead of us, laughing around and talking and Nathan seem to have taken an interest on her as well.
Which is a first. That boy doesn't just easily open up to just anyone.
But then that leaves me walking side by side with Abel. Although I've known his for some parts of the years, were practically strangers right now.
"I'd like to apologize for Loona's behavior. I have no idea why she did what she did today since she isnt normally like that."
And by like that, he probably means by Loona barging into something that'supoose to be a family bonding.
"Its okay. really. I dont mind."
And then its silent once again.
I force a cough to escape me as I glance to the other side, catching the crowd of people passing by.
It doesn't take long before we finally arrive at the arcade.
"Okay kids!" Loona says with a lot of enthusiasm in her voice. "Let's have some fun tonight!"
I see that she's still as energetic as she was before. She still doesn't care what people think about her.
Knowing the Loona still hasn't changed brings a smile on my face.
I missed her so much.
Later that night I found myself twisting and turning in my bed.
My mind was racing and so was my heart.
I was having a hard time to sleep.
With a sigh, I decided to slide out of bed and get some fresh air.
I can’t believe I saw Loona today. After so long.
I bring my arms around me as I head to where my window is. I grab the edge, gliding it open to all the cold breeze come in.
I don’t have to report to work until Monday. A knock on my door coaxes me to turn around, in time to see Clever stepping in. He rubs his eye with a fist, mumbling as he approaches my bed.
“Why did you wake up?” I murmur slowly at him, placing the covers over his body as he shifts for a comfortable position.
“I had a bad dream.” The boy mumbles with a yawn, giving me an exhausted smile with half opened eyes. I brush my fingers across his hair, watching it slide back to over his eyes,
“I dreamt I was playing with a big white wolf.”
“A wolf?’’ I say, almost hesitantly. A moment of silences reigns king as I watch Clever lift his arm to rub his eye again.
“Yeah. I big one.”
“That… Did it try to bite you?”
A faint whisper “No.” I what I get in return. “It was fluffy.”
“Then it’s not a bad dream.”
The boy shakes his head and utters his next words in a slow exhausted manner. “When it wanted to take Noona away from me, it was a bad dream.”
My brother falls asleep the next second, leaving me to stare at him. Doubt contours my face as I nibble the bottom of my lip.
I don’t think Clever’s once encountered his kind before. I’d be the first one to know.
What could this dream mean? I shake my head to disperse the thought. I have other problems to worry about. I quickly fix the blanket over Clever’s body and lean in to kiss him on the head. Then I walk out of the room, grabbing my keys in the process. Throwing a sweatshirt on, I quickly run out of the house and slide into my car, turning the ignition.
Before we separated ways with Loona, she handed me a folded paper with the hotel she was staying in. It wasn’t until I had reached open when I flipped it open.
Something tells me wanted me to come to her and confront her myself.
I pull outside a fancy looking hotel fifteen minutes later with nothing on but my sweat shirt and leggings. Securing my car, I enter the building and head straight to the elevator. A glance on the paper again reveals that she’s in the fifth floor.
If my intel’s correct, this building’s under the company of where I work. It’s known for it’s great service and the high deluxe they give to costumers. Not to mention the awesome view you can see at night. The city lights from the sixth floor had made its way to multiple magazine covers.
The elevator opens with a ding, revealing a fancy hallway. Crimson red carpet covers the ground, and vintage decorations cover the walls.
“Seven B.” I murmur the room name, landing my eyes towards ever door label I can see. The signs are encrusted in gold, cursive letters, giving the vibe of elegance to those who see it.
I eventually come to a stop, hesitation flashing me eyes.
I’m not sure if it was a good idea coming here. I was reluctant to do so.

But look at me now?
I take a deep breath, then give myself a nod. I ring the door bell. An echo od a soft tune murmurs from beyond the wall, bringing a shiver down my spine.
Any second now Loona’s gonna open this door and will expect for a reason. I’m nervous because I’m not sure if she remembers me. The curse claimed that everyone of the same blood would forget. But there had to be a reason why Loona approached us on that table. Why she insisted we tag along with her invite. She wouldn’t have done it to just anyone. Let alone someone she’s never met before.
Something within me sparked the moment I saw those letters scribbled on the paper.
It felt like hope. I hope that she still remembered me.
But what is she doesn’t.
What if all this was just a misunderstanding.
I shift my weight from one foot to the other, thinking if this was a good idea. I hear shuffles from the inside, seconds before a strong beep of a machine comes in. The door creaks, jerking open.
I brace myself for what comes next.
My eyes lands on the girl who’s expression looks nothing like mine the second she sees me. While I have a heavy weight plastered on my face, she looks surprised. But at the same time, it’s like she’s refusing to believe I’m really here.
“I-..” I start off hesitantly. Now’s not the time to get tongue tied. I left home two hours after mid night and it would such a waste of time if I turn and walk away right now. This is Loona. And the Loona I know wouldn’t hurt me or let alone, lash out on me.
There’s nothing to feel nervous about.
“May I come in?”
Loona’s eyes softens as a mellow smile makes it’s easy up her lips. She steps aside and widens the gap of the door, casually nudging her head inside. “Come on in."
