A Couple of Days Later
The sun was starting to rise and the sky Bega showing colors. Shivers run down my body as I walk the path set before me. I left home a little early as to not get caught by my brothers. If they knew I was heading out, they'd probably want to tag along. "Good morning, Elka. You're up early today." A sweet familiar lady utters. She usually walks her dogs around this time. Normally I'd be greeting her inside my car on my way to work but today I'm not using a vehicle. "Good morning Mrs Jones." I smile kindly, bending down to pet her little puppy. His silky fur smoothly runs along between the gaps of my fingers. With that, we converse for a moment before we part ways. While she's on her way home, my mind drifts off to a certain location I keep seeing on my way to work. I take in a deep breath, allowing the fresh air to fill my nostrils. This is the life. I tie my hair up into a ponytail, tightening it. It was a free day today and instead of spending it at home, I chose to stroll the city and enjoy the day. The city breeze brushed against my skin as a edge closer to the building I've had my eyes on. A familiar yet so unfamiliar scent greets me the moment I step inside. For a month now, I've kept an eye on a certain library that just recently opened. The interior designs screamed modern. It had a staircase that led to tables on the second floor. Many books can be seen and my heart flutters in excitement. Today, I decided to get lost in some romance novels. It's been a while since I've sat down and enjoyed a book. I stroll towards the sections of novels and begin grabbing some thick books. I stop once my arms' occupied with five books. Looking at them closely, I'll probably have them done before lunch time. My clock tells me its currently seven. Yes, seven in the morning. I picked the second floor to sit down and relax. The view I have is enough to have me smiling. No one's in the library at this hour. Students who normally busy themselves are at home sleeping. I lean back on the soft couch and allow my fingers to turn the page. My gaze scans the words and my mind begins to drift away. After a moment of reading, I feel a presence behind me. It doesn't bother me until later on. When the rustle of plastic bags begin to get on my nerve, I gently close the book and stand. This was the best spot to relax and read but the constant noise is ruining it. I catch a glimpse as I walk away and nearly choked when I saw it was Abel. The latter's reading a book, barely noticing you. And the one making the noises was a dog. Who even gives a dog a plastic to play with? Not only that, who allows a dog inside the library? Then again, Abel's a wolf and he can somehow control a fellow four legged creature. And it's not like the library's strict when it comes to pets. Unless you can control your pet, I guess the building's fine with it. I didn't realize I had stopped to stare. He's clad in a simple white shirt, pairing it with black ripped jean pants. Its exposing his skin all the way up to his thighs. Silver chains can be seen dangling in hid ears. There's studs too. Albeit they're diamonds too. The front his hair is left to hover his eyebrows, parted in the middle. Round spectacles sit on the bridge of his nose. Quickly turning my gaze away, I begin to step away. A book falls down, hitting the ground with a thud. "Dang it." I mutter under my breath. How did I even let that fall? I quickly snatch the book off the floor and head downstairs. The second floor isn't the only best reading spot. There's more areas on the first floor to read at. Like the one beside the window. After making a short stop at the novel section, grabbing another book, I make a beeline to a vacant couch. There I spend the next twenty minutes immersed in the book I'm reading. Then someone shows up. "Mind if I join you?"
