Meeting II

Meeting II Syr could really not be blamed for being clueless of such things. As the only Dragon princess of the Black Dragon Kingdom, her only ambition at that time is to be a powerful enough individual that could hold up the entire Black Dragon Kingdom in the skies of Meos. How could she even pay attention to the relationships between a man and a woman? Looking down at the letter with a serial chip that showed the 3D image of her future husband, Syr could only sigh in awe at such inventions that causes her worldview to collapse. There is also similar ability in Meos that could conjure up an image from nothing, but that is using magic cultivated from the energy of the world. It is entirely different from the genius inventions that are highly normal in this era that she is in now. They only used their brains and creativity to create such a masterpiece, and for Syr who lives by using her powers, it is really a great and admirable feat. Intending to observe the serial chip branded in the letter, Syr was suddenly brought out of her thoughts by the sound of Housekeeper 025’s beeping reminder. “Young lady Syr, your sisters are outside the door to visit you.” Housekeeper 025 spoke swiftly and mechanically. Syr thoughtfully placed the letter under her blanket as bits of memories about the ‘sisters’ of hers resurfaced in her mind. They are the children of the third madam of the Viscount manor and her two younger sisters that are born as twins. She did not think that they will visit her after her elder brother Quinn and Siello’s departure. It seems like they planned it from the start. Syr instantly understood after once again seeing the memories Syraen had with her two younger sisters. It is always about the twins verbally abusing Syraen and Siello when the Viscount and Quinn are not around in the manor. They still know that their behaviors are preposterous enough to hide it from their father and elder brother, but they are still doing it due to their own twisted ideals. Syr did not bother to think too much as she nodded at housekeeper 025 to let the twins inside the room. The door opened and two figures with a lot of similarities on their face appeared in front of her. The leading young girl’s air is full of arrogance and disdain as her eyes fell on Syr, but hidden in the depths are extreme jealousy as she took in Syr’s enchanting features. Stella Draecy is the older one of the twins, and behind her is Sherly Draecy with the same cynical expression on her face. Both disdain Syr, but their hearts are full of extreme jealousy due to Syr’s appearance. A contradiction that was born from the spoiled teachings of their mother. Stella raised her chin up high with her arms crossed in front of her chest like a queen looking down on the lowly citizens of her kingdom. The sight of it made Syr’s eyelids twitch in amusement. “You look fine to me; I wonder why do you have to pretend to be frail to stay in the hospital for a month?” Sherly did not beat around the bush to spout out her brainless words that successfully changed Syr’s eyelids twitching into full blown blinking at her nonsense. Of course she looks fine, after all, she is already a different person and the original Syraen is not in this world anymore. The words of this little sister of hers made her feel sad for the original. They are still sisters in the end, and they truthfully share a blood connection, even if it is only from their father’s side. Syr who have lived her life in Meos by being doted and treasured by her family could not understand how others could just deny such a connection because of shallow reasons instigated by their envy. Seeing Syr in a daze and ignoring her pushed Sherly’s buttons as her expression twisted in hate and scorn. Her hand moved and pointed her finger at Syr’s face seemingly wanting to poke her forehead harshly. The originally casual and indifferent look on Syr’s pupils dropped down in temperature as it was frozen in the chilling light that flashed past it. “How dare you ignore me? Do you-…” Sherly’s finger along with her shrill shout stopped dead in its tracks as Syr’s right hand slapped her hand away lightly like swatting away a fly, though it still caused the former to stumble and fall on the cold and smooth floor of the room that made her scream from the pain shooting up her buttocks.. Silence pervaded the room that even a pin drop could be heard. Stella stood on in shock as she motionlessly watched her twin sister suddenly falling down in front of her. She had seen clearly how Syr lightly slapped Sherly’s hand away and it is not to the point of one being forced to fall down without any sign. Sherly also felt incredulous at what happened. She did not know why her knees suddenly buckled under such soft pressure, but her face instantly burned like magma at the humiliation of her haggard appearance in front of the one that she and Stella always looked down on. “YOU- How dare you push me?” Sherly’s scream reverberated inside the VIP patient room that even the passing few individuals outside flicked a curious glance at the blurry glass door. Syr frowned imperceptibly at Sherly’s irritating voice. The warmth and casual air around her with Quinn and Siello disappeared without a trace at the scene that the twins are making unreasonably. Housekeeper 025 looked on the three with its pupils flashing with dense numbers. Being the housekeeper given to the young lady Syraen, housekeeper 025 dutifully analyzes the emotion of its master, but only a red error box floats in its mainframe after trying for a couple of times. Housekeeper 025 stopped trying after seeing that it’s not working. He deliberated for a bit before sending a message to the main housekeeper for a check-up of his system after the young lady is discharged. An AI robot like housekeeper 025 would not understand the intricacy of Syr’s condition. The soul is directly connected to the emotions of an individual and due to Syr’s peculiar state with her new body and soul, it is entirely impossible to analyze her emotions even with the technology advantage in the interstellar. Stella hurriedly helped up her younger twin sister while viciously glaring at Syr. “How could you push someone younger than you? Aren’t you being despicable? You’re not seeing us as your sisters are you?” The words spouting out of Stella’s mouth with her aggrieved expression once again opened Syr’s eyes at how shameless people can be. Are they not the ones treating Syr and Siello as outsiders instead of siblings? They really inverted black to white without batting an eyelid. Syr did not even gave Stella a glance. She had encountered much in socializing with the higher society of Meos built by the power the each forces wields. The leaders and even royal of the different races that she had faced are worlds away from Stella’s childish schemes. “025, I want them to leave.” Syr’s calm words cut off Stella’s tantrums and the twins watched with wide eyes as housekeeper 025’s silver body moved flexibly with its four limbs to push them out of the room before closing the door right on their still unbelievable faces. It is the first time for the two to be treated this way by Syr. They have always managed to get their way after bullying Syr while leaving in their self-satisfied vanity. How could they stomach such a humiliation? Although the twins really wanted to make a scene outside the patient room, this private hospital is a place that no ordinary people could go to. Stella and Sherly left unwillingly as they vowed furiously to get back at Syr. Having no energy to spare the twins any thought, Syr was just about to take out the letter again to look at the impeccable face of her future husband when the thin strip of quantum chip placed on her bedside table emitted a white light that hovered above it. The notification shown on it is the name of the Viscount. Syr curiously picked up the quantum chip, and familiarized herself with its functions before sliding the hovering hologram with her slender fingers. It is a mail from the Viscount itself and the formal words written in it made Syr to further understand the alienation of the father and daughter, but she did not dwell on it too much as she digested the content of the mail. “A meeting with the family of my betrothed?”
