Chapter 6: Meeting time.

The little café was about what I expected: small, stylish, and smelled amazing. I still couldn’t picture this big, bad warrior of a guy wanting to meet here but I wasn’t about to complain. Well as long as he showed up and actually talked instead of instantly saying no. “You sure it was a good idea to rush this meeting? Maybe we should have talked to some of the other Alphas first so he knows we mean business.” Kieran sounded worried. “He didn’t sound too happy on the phone when I called him to reschedule for today. It was just a couple words and then he hung up.” I shook my head at him already knowing what a worry wart he was. “Maybe he is a man of a few words. Also you need to relax a little bit because we needed this to be earlier period after what Trevor said when I came to meet you less than 12 hours ago this had happened today. If he tried to touch me one more time or more I was going to throw up in my mouth and then choke on it.” “I still can’t believe he said that s**t. I heard rumors he was a s**t head as a teenager but I never saw it. He hasn’t ever said that stuff to you before, has he?” His wolf flashed forward looking even more pissed. “You don’t treat your mate that way nor do you cheat on her. Why would he hurt the person who does everything for his sorry ass? And you are the Luna. The one we protect the most!” I could tell he was getting all wound up. I grabbed his arm grabbing his attention. “Kieran, you saved me. You heard my link, you did as I asked, and when I came down you found a reason for me to stay out until he had to get up and actually work. You did that and I am so thankful.” “I'm glad I could help but I still doesn't answer my questions. Who would do that to Someone Like you who helps with everything and treats him so well after all of the disrespect he shows you. He has flirted with all the different girls in the pack starting six months after you mated? Who would do anything to have the power position of Luna and not once did you hurt the girl or disrespect him. You're even more beautiful than all of them and you would be a better mother than any of them.” “If you are done professing your love we could get this meeting started.” A deep voice spoke behind me. The deep timber made my work perk up and pay attention which was not something she has done for a while now. I turned my head to see two tall men standing behind me, both in leather jackets with an almost matching bored expression on their faces. I had wanted this meeting to go off without a hitch but it seemed one of these two wanted to start a problem. I turned back to Kieran and shook my head. “I thought the older brother was supposed to be better but it seems he's just as much of an ass. He won't be any help to us or the pack. I'd be better off finding some random person to take as my mate and take over the pack.” Kieran Smirked at me and nodded. “I'd love to be your mate. I guess since they called me out on it I should let you know that I've had the hots for you forever. Trevor doesn't deserve you. You've always been too sexy for him and too good for him.” I stood up and pulled out my wallet to pay our tab. “Sounds good to me. Apparently an alpha isn't what we need but a Luna and a beta. At least you won't try to f**k me after f*****g your mistress. And I bet you can get a girl off.” I Ignored the two and walked out with my beta behind me. I should have known being a Jackass right in the family. Trevor's father had a bit of a temper and a better than you attitude. I had helped the military would have knocked it out of the older brother but I was wrong. Just as we reached the car I heard feet following us. “Hey, wait up.” That same deep voice spoke. “I didn't mean to run you off. Didn't know you'd be so sensitive so I'm sorry.” I turned around finally catching the eyes of the one who spoke. “And you are? You're a little bit short to be an alpha older brother.” I looked over at the other one whose height was even taller than his brothers and his hair even more red which my wolf was definitely liking. “I know you're the older brother. I thought we were meeting you but apparently you needed a sidekick.” “I like her.” The first guy said a smile brightening up his face. “I’m Daxton but everyone calls me bear.” He held his hand out his arms tattoos peeking out from his sleeve. Kieran shook it first his eyes still trying to figure these guys out as they locked onto Daxton’s. I waited for their eyes to break contact in their pissing contest. “How about we just lay them out and measure them? I didn’t get food in there and I am starving.” I turned to the brother as he spoke. “We can go back in and get food.” I shook my head. “No it is all baked goods in there. I need some meat.” I studied his face his beard really made him look nicer but I had a feeling he was only nice to maybe a handful of people in his life with how hard his eyes were. “I vote we go down to the steak house and start over. Your friend, Bear, can be nicer and less douchebag like while we keep our bouts of love to ourselves.” His lips turned up a little on the ends. Seems like he wasn’t all hard muscle and attitude. “Bear, let’s go get a real meal to have with this chat. It seems we have a lot to discuss and we need to do it on a full stomach.” His voice had a twang to it and it was like it vibrated through me. “You mean it when you said my brother had a mistress?” I laughed knowing my situation was s**t. “f****d her last night after beating the s**t out of me.” “Hey, the only reason he got any hits in was because it was a shock. I’ve seen you take down even bigger men in training.” Kieran ripped his eyes away from bear giving me a warning growl. “Don’t even think bad about yourself. He flipped the switch and went bat s**t crazy.” “Let’s continue this chat at the restaurant. You all riding with us or driving?” He unlocked a bit black suv parked a few rows down. “I don’t get in the car with someone I don’t even know the name of.” I shrugged opening the car door. “Meet you all there.” “Damn, she is a hoot.” Bear laughed already walking to their car. Trevor’s brother nodded and walked away with him. It was until my door was about shut he responded. “Names Austin but I go by Hawke.” I laughed already liking this guy. “Ok, Austin.” Dinner was going to be fun.
