Old House Mystery

Chapter 2

After the husband and children go out shopping, Indira started to tidy up her kitchen which was a bit scattered with dirty dishes in the sink, she washed the dishes and put the washed dishes back on the shelf. While she was doing her housework, suddenly she felt a black shadow like a woman walking behind her quickly. Indira turned back to see if what she felt was true, but there was nothing there.

“ Maybe this is just my feeling, there is nothing here Indira. Think positive! If you are afraid your children will be afraid too, you must be brave, there is nothing here! ” Indira strengthened her own spirit, then she wanted to continue her unfinished housework but she heard the sound of something falling from the living room of the house. Indira went to see what the sound of the fall was, she saw that the flower vase on the table had broken. She wanted to clean the vase but something happened...

“ ARGHH!! ” Indira fell and her forehead hit the corner of the table and then fainted because her leg was pulled by a mysterious hand whose hand it was not known.

In an unknown place because it was so dark and there was no light or sunlight. It looks like Indira is walking while looking around her, she looks like she is in confusion and there is a strange feeling and fear nestling in her heart. She doesn't know where she is at the moment and how she can be here, this is something strange for her.

“ What place is this? How can I get here? ” Indira wondered to herself.

“ Henry, James!! Indra, Sarah!!! Nova!! Where are you all?!! ” Indira called the names of her husband and children but no one answered her call.

“ Henry!!! ”

“ James!!! ”

“ Sarah!!! ”

“ Indra!!! ”

“ Nova!!! ”

“ Where are you all?! ” Indira kept chanting their names nonstop but still no one answered, Indira continued to walk looking for them in the middle of the dense forest. Suddenly she heard a girl's voice crying and calling out to her, Indira recognized the voice very well, it was like the voice of her youngest child, Nova. Indira becomes worried if something happens to Nova.

“ Mom! Mom! Hek...hek...hek... Help me, Mom help me! ” the mysterious voice kept calling Indira with her sobs.

“ Nova?! Nova, where are you? ” Indira continued to walk in search of the direction of the voice.

“ Mom, help me! Help me, mom! "

“ Nova, where are you? Please answer my question, Nova!! ” Indira is getting confused, she doesn't know what to do anymore, she thinks Nova might be in danger and she is very worried about Nova's safety. She keeps walking nonstop to find where Nova is, but she still hasn't found her daughter. Now Indira has arrived at a river, she looks around but disappointing.

“ Nova, where are you exactly? Please show up, don't scare me like this! ” Indira appealed to the mysterious voice.

“ Mom, help me! I'm sick, ouch!! ” the muffled voice suddenly turned into a moan of pain. And suddenly Indira saw a body covered in blood that she knew very well lying weakly, her body covered with a large stone block.

“ Nova? My daughter! ” Indira was very surprised to see that the entire body was her daughter, she immediately approached Nova Iris and removed the large stone block that hit Nova.

“ Hold on baby, I'll help you! ” Indira said as she lifted her daughter's body and immediately took her away from the place, a few minutes later Indira and her daughter arrived at a place she did not know. She saw a car parked there. Indira wanted to go towards the car while carrying Nova, but before she could take a step, her name was suddenly called from the back.

“ Mom! ” Indira was surprised to hear the voice calling her, she seemed to know the voice very well. Slowly Indira tried to look back. She was very surprised to see Nova standing behind her with a confused facial expression, Nova looked at 'Nova' who was being carried by Indira.

“ Nova? ” Indira felt strange seeing Nova who was standing in front of her eyes without any injuries whatsoever.

“ Mom, what's that? ” Nova asked while looking at what her mother was carrying, Indira slowly looked at what she was carrying. A whole monstrous body was in her arms, Indira who was very surprised kept to scream very loudly as she woke up from her bed. Indira was apparently just dreaming, Henry who was nearby was shocked and asked her what happened.

“ Indira, what's wrong with you? Did you have a nightmare? ” Henry asked.

“ Yes, how can I be here? ” Indira asked after she realized that she was now in the room with her husband.

“ You passed out in the living room last afternoon, are you not well? ” Henry asked again, he was really worried to see his unconscious wife in the living room after he and his children came home from shopping.

“ No, I'm fine ” Indira answered “ Where is Nova? ” she asked Henry, her handsome husband, about her youngest daughter.

“ She is in her room, why? ” Henry replied at once asking why Indira was asking about Nova.

“ I have nightmares about her, thank goodness she's okay ” Indira says, she is relieved Nova is fine “ I want to go see her for a moment ”

“ I want to go finish my work first in the study ” Henry told Indira.

Indira came out of her bedroom and went to the living room, she saw that the whole living room was already dark even though the clock on the wall just showed 8 pm. Then Indira went up the stairs to go to the second floor which is Nova Iris's room, while Henry was going to the study carrying his files and laptop.

Nova Iris who has not slept yet and is watching the movie Chor Machaye Shor released in 1974 on YouTube is suddenly approached by her mother.

“ Mom? ” Nova Iris was surprised to see her mother come to her room.

“ What are you doing, Nova? ” Indira asked while approaching Nova Iris who was lying on the bed, Indira also sat on the bed next to Nova.

“ I was watching Chor Machaye Shor starring Shashi Kapoor and Mumtaz ” Nova answered “ Mom, let's watch it together ” she invited Indira to watch the movie with her.

“ It's okay Nova, you watch the movie by yourself, I want to go see Sarah for a while ” Indira said as she got up from Nova's king size bed.

“ Alright mom ” Nova Iris answered, then Indira left Nova's room and closed the door of the room. An unpleasant atmosphere was happen again in the room and Nova Iris could feel it all.

“ What sign is this? ” Nova wondered to herself, suddenly the window door opened by itself without the slightest wind blowing. Nova went to close the window immediately but while trying to close the window door, Nova Iris suddenly saw a very creepy glimpse of a white dress flying up. Nova Iris was stunned for a moment and as if in disbelief at the very unpleasant phenomenon, the hair on her neck stood up suddenly. Without wasting time, Nova Iris immediately closed the window but something else happened in her room, the electric light that was on in Nova Iris' room suddenly went out.

“ ARRGGGHHH!!! ” Nova Iris screamed in surprise.
