Chapter 4

Indira and Sarah who were talking in the room were suddenly surprised to see Nova Iris who suddenly entered Sarah's room with a pillow and a blanket, don't forget she brought her favorite big teddy bear. Nova placed a pillow next to Sarah and sat on the soft mattress.

“ Nova, what happened? ” asked Indira who felt strange seeing Nova Iris' behavior.

“ Nothing mom, Sarah, can I sleep with you tonight? I feel uncomfortable sleeping in my room, but I can sleep on the couch if you don't want me to sleep on the bed with you ” said Nova Iris to Sarah.

“ Okay, but don't disturb my sleep, otherwise I'll kick you out of this room! ” now it's Sarah's turn sternly on Nova Iris, wow she's taking revenge apparently because of what happened this morning!

“ Okay ” Nova Iris answered lazily.

“ You two sleep well, don't make noise! ” Indira advises them both.

“ Fine! ” Nova Iris and Sarah answered simultaneously as they lay on the mattress, while Indira went to turn off the light and leave Sarah's room. Nova Iris tried to close her eyes but she couldn't, her mind still kept remembering the horror incident earlier.

“ Why can't I sleep? Why is my mind still remembering the incident? Is that really a ghost or just my feelings? Ishh... this can't be, I have to investigate this matter ” Nova Iris said in her heart, she tried to get up from the mattress but suddenly she resisted her urge to get up.

“ But what if it's really a ghost? If I go to investigate later for no reason, she will attack me with more horror than before ” Nova Iris thought again for a second time. Sarah who still hadn't slept and saw her sister as if she was thinking something immediately asked.

“ Kya hua, Nova? I see you like you're thinking about something? ” Sarah asked Nova Iris while interspersed in Hindi.

“ Kuchh Nahin Sarah ” Nova Iris replied, she felt like going back to sleep.

“ Since when is my younger sister good at lying? I know all this time you are not good at lying, mujhe batao kya hua? ” Sarah kept forcing Nova Iris to tell her what was happening to her because she was very curious.

“ Okay, I'll tell you but you don't tell anyone about this ” Nova Iris said to Sarah.

“ Lekin kyon? Oh mujhe pata hai, tum...tumhara ek boyfriend hai, hai na? ” Sarah made her own assumptions about Nova.

“ Nahin! Not about that! ” Nova Iris denies Sarah's assumption that she has a boyfriend.

“ So what about?! ” Sarah asked, she is strange with Nova's behavior, if it is not about boyfriend then what is she going to tell about?

“ Do you believe there are ghosts in this world? ” Now it's Nova's turn to question Sarah.

“ Hmm, about that thing, I find it a little hard to believe, maybe it's true or maybe it's not, why are you asking me about ghosts? Have you seen a ghost? ” Sarah asked looking at Nova Iris.

“ Yeah, but I don't know if it's really a ghost or just my feelings, but I know it's not a dream ” Nova said, after that she continued to tell the story “ After mom came out of my room, I was watching a Bollywood movie at that time, suddenly my window door opened by itself while there was no wind blowing. I went to close the window and you know what I saw? I saw a shadow like a vampire flying up and then the light in my room suddenly went out ” Nova told her sister about what she saw in her room, Sarah who listened to Nova's story solemnly seemed to think for a moment.

“ My friend once said that nothing is impossible in this world, something that we think is silly or just our feelings may be something true ” Sarah said meaningfully to Nova.

“ What do you mean? ” She frowned, Nova Iris didn't understand, she tried to understand what Sarah was trying to convey but failed, yes Nova Iris failed to understand.

“ I mean, in your situation you said you didn't know if what you saw was really a ghost or just your feelings and you realized you weren't dreaming. The incident is true but you are confused to equate what is true and what is not true, I know you have a hard time believing what you saw earlier, right? ” Sarah explained the meaning of her words at length and clearly.

“ Yes, but what if what I see is really a ghost? ” The still frightened Nova Iris asked Sarah again.

“ Okay like this, let's just leave it for now and we'll wait for a few more days. If what you see is right, then we have to find a way to prove to dad that there is something wrong in this house, do you agree ” Sarah explained to Nova at the same time giving a brilliant idea even though she looked like a slacker.

“ Yes, I agree ” Nova answered because according to her what Sarah said was true, and she admires the intelligence of her sister who often gives thoughtful ideas that seem to make sense.

“ Now let's go to sleep ” Sarah said while yawning, they were both trying to close their eyes.

While in James' room, James and Indra were seen watching the horror movie The Conjuring on tv, Indra who felt like he was going to pee said to James.

“ James, you watch first, I think I want to go to the toilet for a while ” said Indra.

“ Okay ” James replied, without delay Indra finally left James's room and went down the stairs to go downstairs, but before going to the bathroom he has to go through the living room that connects the path to the kitchen. Indra reached the bathroom and went straight in because he couldn't stand to urinate anymore, a few minutes later he finished and left the bathroom but he was surprised to see James standing in front of the bathroom door.

“ James? What are you doing here? ” Indra asked James but James didn't answer his question, he kept rushing into the bathroom. Indra, who didn't feel suspicious, continued to walk towards James' room. But when he arrived at James's room, he was surprised to see James still watching the conjuring movie casually while lying on the bed.

“ James, are you still here from earlier? ” Indra asked as he approached James.

“ Yes, why? ” James asked.

“ Nothing ” Indra answered a word, he tried to get rid of the strange thoughts that could make him unable to sleep.
