Chapter 8

ONE YEAR LATER

Alpha Azazel POV

This has been the longest year of my life. I never found the young lady, my mate, who left the club. I checked all the surrounding packs, malls, restaurants, and cities. It seems she is MIA (missing in action). Ghost and I have been on edge ever since.

About a month ago, I received an invitation to Alpha Blake's daughter, Snow, Twentieth Birthday Party. I forgot to ask my pack if they wanted to attend. I mind linked Jason to come to my office. About a minute later, there was a knock at my door. "Come In"

Jason: You summoned me, Angry Man.

Me: Why you have to be so extra?

Jason just shrugged his shoulders...

Me: Anyway, Alpha Blake's daughter is having a birthday day party. Can you see who would like to attend the party?

Jason: Ok, then looks at me with one eyebrow raised... you are looking for your mate?

Me: What are you talking about, Jason?

Jason: Yea, I heard you had sent trackers out to look for her.

Me: Nonsense... I don’t know what you are talking about.

Jason: Yea… yea, I have a confession too. My wolf was acting up that day too. I have been looking for my mate too.

Me (with excitement): You found your mate too!

Jason: You know I did.

Me: Gotcha, I knew it... I knew it... you are looking for her... admit it.

Jason: Whatever and so what if I am...

Me: Well, get out and just do what I ask (in my Alpha’s tone).

Walking out the door, Jason says "Yes Mr. Angry Man" I just shook my head at him.

Ghost chimes in, "i***t, you were the one to let her get away... You should have listened to me in the first place and she would be seating on our lap right now."

"Shut up, MUTT!!! Stop acting like a hormonal teenager". He just blocked me out. Guess who go the last word... Me…

I exited my office and went to the kitchen to get some lunch. Jazz is seating at the table on her phone. Whoever she is talking to; she tells them she must go.

She turns to me and says "have you found her"

Me: Found who?

Jazz: Don’t act stupid with me, we all know you have been looking for your mate who slipped away.

Me: Who told you? yall love to gossip... No, I have not found her. once I do, I will make sure to post it on the billboard.

Jazz: Please do... but I think it's so romantic… it reminds me of Cinderella".

On that note, I ran out the kitchen to the training room.

I worked out for two hours. I just don’t understand; when did my love become so popular around here. Those trackers can’t never keep a secret. To be honest, now that I know she is out there... I feel so empty because I did not go get her sooner. I miss her so much and I don’t even know her. I have debated with myself to reject her because she is a human.

Ghost screams "YOU BETTER NOT!!! I told you before never think about rejecting her... NEVER!!!

"Damn, my thoughts are not even mines"

"Not when it come to our mate... I have a feeling that she is very special"

"Now you are delusional... humans are not special"

"I don’t sense her being a human"

"Then what is she? she is not a she-wolf"

"Listen, whatever she is, human or not, WE ARE KEEPING HER!!" he yells and then blocks me again. I truly hated when he gets the last word. I head to my bedroom, take a shower, and go to bed.

Unknown POV

This year has been amazing for my men. I have opened my own construction company called, Jones Construction, LLC. I have obtained several contracting jobs between Yellowstone and Riverbank pack. Currently, I have been working with Alpha Blake to expand the school buildings in his pack. We have been working very closely in the last two months. Yes, it’s just to get close to my Snow. Alpha Blake invited me to Snow’s 20th Birthday party which I am so excited to attend. I get to see my mate. I am seating in my office when someone knocks on the door. I tell them to “Come in”. Jack enter my office and says, “Did you receive your invitation. This party has been the talk of the town.”

Me: Yes, I did.

Jack: What is the plan?

Me: I plan to introduce myself to my mate at her birthday party.

Havoc: We will reject her then…

Me: No, we have to wait…

Jack: Are you going to claim her?

Me: I don’t know. I want my Kitsune fox to be my mate.

Jack: The Kitsune fox may not exist.

Me: Well we just have to see what happens.

Jack: We need to recruit more rogues. Alpha Azazel is killing our rogues every time they enter his territory.

Me: Well, I told yall dumbass to stop going in his territory until I can get him to do business with us.

Jack: Aaron, he has his own construction company. He is not going to hire outside contractors.

Me: He will if we eliminate some of his workers and damage some of his properties.

Jack: When are we planning to do that?

Me: Soon very soon.

Jack: Ok well I will get ready for the party tonight.

Me: Make sure we have two beautiful she-wolves to escort us.

Jack: I already took care of that. See you later.

Jack leaves my office. I make some phone calls to get my plan in motion.
