12. Kiss In The Dark

1029 Words
Emma I couldn't move because of Nathan's current position in front of me. His body is no more than a centimeter in front of me. His eyes are directed at you, his hands holding my waist. While I was silent while closing my eyes. The sound of students entering the room was still clearly audible. I hid in a narrow hallway that happened to have the emergency exit closed. There was no light here. Only sunlight came in through the vents. "Be quiet," Nathan warned me. "If you get caught, I'm not sure about your career," Nathan whispers right in my ear. I tried to stay calm even though my heart was racing. There were two possibilities. Either I feared getting caught, or my body was too intense with Nathan. I had to follow Nathan's instructions, but I was too scared. What if something terrible happened? What if I got caught here with Nathan? Of course, I didn't want people to suspect me for flirting with a student because his father was so influential in this school. I waited for the time to pass, but the students didn't come out of this place. I had an appointment at Professor Hudson's house tonight, and I didn't want to be late and not appreciate his help. I've probably been here with Nathan for over two hours. We don't move except to stare at each other in an awkward state. Something flashed at my feet like a furry animal. I widen my eyes. Nathan warned me not to scream, but it seemed impossible. I hated rats and the like the most. My mouth spontaneously opened. I was about to scream, but suddenly, Nathan grabbed the back of my head, and he kissed my lips so that the sound of my scream was swallowed by Nathan's mouth. I was speechless in this situation. Nathan did an unjustifiable thing, but this way, no one could hear the sound of my scream. Time seemed to stop spinning. My heart was racing like I was having my first kiss, but I wasn't excited; instead, my body was frozen. Nathan removed his lips from mine. I still couldn't say anything. He kept looking into my eyes so I could see Nathan's amber-coloured eyes, like an eagle's. "I told you to be quiet, Mrs. Wilson." Nathan didn't apologize at all. He just looked calm. There was no remorse in him at all. "What are you doing?" I asked in a choked voice. "Trying to protect your career," Nathan replied." I checked my phone in my pocket. Barak asked about my condition. I quickly texted Barak back and told him I was okay. "I should be home already," I said. "It'll be over soon. Be patient," Nathan said. And Nathan was right. The students in this room started to leave one by one. I was so relieved that I could finally leave. Suddenly, Nathan opened the back door, and sunlight poured in. I was surprised because the door had been unlocked. "Did you do this on purpose?" I reprimanded Nathan. "You knew the door was unlocked but didn't say anything!" "I didn't say we couldn't get out of here. You've been quiet all day, so I thought you wanted to be here with me." Nathan didn't feel guilty at all. "What?" I was speechless. I left this place immediately. I headed to the lecture hall. Gwen was seen talking to Professor Winny Stanley. She glanced at me momentarily but then continued talking to Professor Stanley. I already don't have a teaching schedule. I wasted her time hiding in a dark and cramped room with Nathan. Now, I'd better get ready for Professor Hudson's house. I'll have to dress nice and neat for his sake. "Mrs. Wilson," Professor Stanley called out to me. I, who had almost died in this room, immediately turned my head. "Yes, Professor Stanley?" I replied. "Mr. Johan Smith is calling for you." Gwen smiled triumphantly. Did she rat me out to Nathan's father? I didn't do anything wrong. The CCTV can be checked. After all, it was Nathan who made the noise in the cafeteria. "Okay," I replied. "You should go to his house, Mrs. Wilson. He rarely visits the university." I sighed for a moment. I'll have to postpone my scheduled meeting with Professor Hudson. I had to meet with my boss, right? "Alright," I replied. “Thank you, Professor Stanley.” I quickly walked out of the lecture hall. Today had been so bad, and everything had been so bad since yesterday. I realized my car was in the garage when I went to the parking lot. "Shit." I cursed in a low voice. "Well, you'll have to walk, Mrs. Wilson." Gwen stood next to me. She smiled as she crossed her arms. "It's a shame the car had such a bad experience." I turned to Gwen. Nathan is telling the truth. I couldn't believe it. Gwen did something so dangerous. "So you did it?" Gwen chuckled. She was mocking me. "I thought you only had a body, Mrs. Wilson. Turns out you have a brain, too. Unfortunately, no one would believe you if I did it. Even if it's proven, my dad can do anything to help me. So don't fight back or make a scene." "What did I do to you?" I asked. "You are a student. You can't be bold to your lecturer. I can do anything to your course grades." "Don't even try, Mrs. Wilson. I could do worse than this. But I have a way for you to get rid of me. Don't wear clothes that make men horny when on campus, Mrs. Wilson. Do you want to seduce the students? I know you have a lot of passion for it, and the students here are mostly rich. But I can't do that. That and looking immoral, Mrs. Wilson." Gwen looked at me seriously. "You look more like a prostitute than a lecturer." I'd never been demeaned like this by someone before. Robert's betrayal was a huge deal to me, but Gwen's words hurt more than Robert's. I slapped Gwen's face very hard. "How dare you!" Gwen screeched.
