Twenty-six: Her people vs. his people

After being on the non-stop for the whole day, the group only stops when the day is getting darker. The General and two of his right-hand men scouts through their surrounding and when they are satisfied, they decided to stop and rest at this place. There is a nearby river as well.

Without waiting for the General's instruction, Crown Princess Long Fenghuang came down from her carriage first. She is wearing her white veiled hat once more. Lianhua came down right after her mistress with her black veiled hat.

The General recognized that the princess is the one wearing the white coloured outfit. He smiles when he saw her standing in front of him. Standing there on her own with her white outfit and veiled hat gives him a feeling of serenity. This little princess is slowly creeping into his heart without his permission, but he is not mad at it. In fact, he loves this new feeling that he feels for her. That spoilt princess no longer acts spoil, she instead presents herself as someone with dignity with a bit of cunningness in her words. His woman should be like that. A strong woman in her own right. He smiles widely as he continues to stare at her back.

Meanwhile, the General's people are completely enamoured with the elegant lady in black. Her aura and the way she walks completely shows how attractive she is even without seeing her face. As the lady in white seems to dress simple with ordinary linen, they thought that the lady in black is, in fact, the Crown Princess.

The lady in black suddenly opens her veil before looking at the blooming flowers with the sole intention to enable those curious men to have a look at her face. Lianhua smiles seductively at them before coyly looking away. She walks with a seductive manner towards the lady in white.

With that attitude of hers, Bing Zhongcheng discovered that she is none other than one the Crown Princess's maid, Lianhua. Lianhua is quite well known for being a beauty that is quite well-versed in both literature and arts and her famous trademark, being a seductress. Though she is quite seductive, none of the men in the imperial city managed to lay a hand on her. A devilish seductress the women called her. Playing with the hearts of countless men but still managed to stay as pure as a white lotus despite being so seductive.

The General instructed for the rest of his men to build camps and build a fireplace for the night. The lady in white is sitting elegantly on a small wooden stool. The General's men realized that there is another beautiful young man in simple white attire unlike the other beautiful man in a flowy white outfit. That young man suddenly went behind the lady in white and gently massages her shoulders... They heard a soft and melodious sigh coming out the lady in white.

"Huli... Your fingers are working its magic on this princess. I needed that after taking such a long nap in the carriage..." She said.

The men surprisingly discovered that the beautiful young man in a simple white outfit is actually a female when they heard her answers in a clear voice, "It is my responsibility to make you feel good, your highness. A herbal bath is being prepared by Chengshi and Congming to soothe your tired body."

The Crown Princess then softly nod her head in agreement. The General saw this and concentrate on watching his men doing their job. Bing Zhongcheng and a man in the black and red outfit are watching at the Crown Princess and her maids as well. The beautiful eunuch sits next to the princess. He suddenly takes out a bottle of water out of nowhere before pouring some on a white porcelain cup, he then put it on the small hand of the princess. Both look at the General whom suddenly clenched his hand tightly for a brief moment.

The princess gently lifted her veil with her other hand and drinks what is given to her by her eunuch. She then passes the cup back to him before tapping the top of his hand with one her finger, "Thank you so much, Xiao Yu. This princess really appreciates it."

Xiao Yu smiling widely while both of her maids smile too. Their mistress is obviously in a good mood after her nap. Xiao Yu then pass a book that is taken out from nowhere to the princess.

The General and his 2 men are staring at these odd actions done by the beautiful man in white. Bing Zhongcheng, however, found himself to be searching for the lady in red.

All of a sudden, a commotion is heard from a distant. The princess gently stands up and calmly walk towards where the voices are heard coming from. The General too joins her as he calmly walks to her side. She glances at him for a brief moment but then she looks ahead of her once more. No words are spoken between them. Xiao Yu, Huli and Lianhua follow their mistress closely behind her. Bing Zhongcheng too walks behind the General. The group of men stops what they are doing to check what's happening too as the voices seem to get louder by the minute.

When they arrived at the location, Congming looks at her mistress and the others helplessly with a slight blush on her cheeks. Bing Zhongcheng look at her blushing face and smiles too. This maid is quite interesting.

Chengshi is seen to be staring angrily at the man wearing black and red outfit. That man is staring at her too with both of his hands clenched tightly. The General found this to be highly amusing as his right-hand man, Wenhe is never the one to lose his temper easily. He is more like a block of ice in front of him and his men. So why is this block of ice suddenly lose control of his cool demeanour is beyond his comprehension. The little princess beside him too seems to be amused by this. He even heard she softly giggles at this interesting scene unfolding before them.

Chengshi stands there and stares at the man, "I told you that this area is prohibited for you to enter. Why didn't you listen in the first place? Do you have to push me aside and made me spills the newly boiled herbal medicine? It took me quite a while to boil it you, stupid man!"

Wenhe’s outfit.

Wenhe seeing her fuming with anger stares back at her too, "Who said that I cannot enter this place? This is a public area. You are the one who is blocking my way, idiotic woman!"

"This area has been closed down as it will be made as a temporary bath for the princess, you fool! We even put a blocking formation spell in this area! Normal people should know better. I guess you are not normal then. What are you? A fool?!?!?!" She screams back at him.

Wenhe looks at her with an angry expression on his face, "I guess you are a fool too. You should put a notice board to let others know that no one can enter this area in the first place. I guess both of us are fools after all!"

Hearing this made Chengshi even angrier, suddenly she takes out a metal whip out of nowhere and launches an attack on Wenhe. Seeing this made Wenhe takes out his sword from the scabbard too. Both are fighting fiercely with each other.

Chengshi's weapon: Gutou Quzhujian Metal Whip

The General is impressed with Chengshi'a martial art skills. The maid who looks quite scholarly is a fierce fighter. Her weapon is amazing as well. A well-mannered girl is using a frightening metal whip that was built from multiple double-edged razors. That weapon if in contact with another in full power will s***h through one's flesh and even to the bones. Luckily Wenhe is a highly skilled martial expert as well and he can dodge each attack made by her. He turns to look at the princess, she seems to be focusing on the fight itself. Her people are watching with full concentration. Seems like they are assessing Wenhe's skills. This discovery suddenly made him a bit worried. Did she found out about what he had been doing all these years?

Without any warning, the princess suddenly turns her back and walk away from the fight. Her servants follow her lead too except for Congming. She seems to be waiting for Chengshi. Chengshi realizing that the princess has left, suddenly dodge Wenhe's attack and when she quite near to him, she gives him a powerful palm hit on his chest. That forceful hit made him staggered to the back.

Chengshi looks at him and said, "I will remember this, foolish man."

After both of the maids left, the General look at his cousin, Bing Zhongcheng, "Seems like her people are not ordinary people after all. What did our spies find out about them?"

Bing Zhongcheng look at his cousin and Wenhe, "Nothing much. Xuehua Palace is a highly protected place. But during that day, seems like the protection has been supposedly lessened hence the outside infiltration."

"That maid is quite skilled and she is controlling her power when she attacked me just now. She seems to be testing my skill..." Wenhe said with a grim face.

The General, "This is quite interesting... The princess is quite outstanding herself. I have seen how she used qi gong the other day. She even has the skill to build a protective barrier. But she is mostly unperturbed with her surroundings. She seems confident that her people are able to protect her. She seems to be lazing around these days."

He is right when he said that the princess is lazing around these days, she is cultivating herself daily. With her dedication and effort, she has now reached the Third Stage: (Final) High. She will advance herself to the next stage soon. Hence, she is recuperating a lot.

For the other men, they cannot help but feels that they should never disturb the princess and her people. They scattered around to continue what they are doing earlier.
