Sophie POV

The days flew fast and I very much enjoyed this peace around me. I usually go shopping every third day. I get a new phone number and tell Grace that I am alright and hope she is fine too. I missed her and she misses me so much too. She said she will visit me sooner but don't know the date yet. May is still with her and they are officially a couple. She tells me the day I left Connor is looking after me because he needs to talk to me. No way in hell I gonna talk with him again. I spoke with Jason and also told him I'm alright and miss him so much. He said he backed his pack and heard that Connor went mad and nobody can calm him down.

"So how are you? Is everything alright? Can I help you with something?-he asks with kind in his voice.

"I'm doing fine. Is everything alright? I like here alone but sometimes I miss a little company. Yesterday I went shopping and found a job advertised for a waitress job. I give them my CV and they said I can try the job tomorrow. How it feels for me or I'm looking for another job.

"Good to hear this. Look I know we are friends so maybe I can go there and give you some good company. I know where you are and I'm not that far away from you. Our pack is just about 45minutes in wolf speed from you. What do you say about that? You know Connor is far away and we are not even one pack. I'm a beta in my pack. Connor is at least 5 hours away in wolf speed. His beta is Tyler you know the one from the bachelor party.

"Fine. I will be looking for it, but just next week. I want to enjoy my alone time for a couple of days. Try out my new work and settle for sure. Then I will welcome you happily. How are you? Is everything good with you?

"Ok, it's a deal then. I will come over next week. You enjoy yourself and be good at work. I know you can do it. If in a big place like "Secret hole" you can do perfectly your job in a small village like you stay now. I'm doing fine. I miss your lips and snuggle close to you. After I met you I'm not interested in any other she-wolf just you.

"Ohh how sweet of you. When you come here for that I'll give you a big kiss. We can do anything here. Hiking, fishing, camping, hunting, swimming, or just sit in the grass and enjoying nature around us.-I said and smiled happily.

"That all sounds good to me. I can't wait to get that kiss. I am already starving without your lips. Now I have to go. See you soon.-he said and hung up the phone.

At night I ate my dinner. Watch a little tv then head to go to bed. Sleep till morning. I woke up at 6:30 to get ready to go 7:15 to my new job place. It's a 30 minutes drive but it's good. I finally arrived at the place called "Lucky" and entered the building. My new boss Bill Smith has greeted me. He tells me everything I need to know. Where to find everything, the storage room if something is out of stock, how to handle the cash register, etc. He stays with me to see how I handle everything if I need something he helps me. Not many people come even if it is Saturday night. Most of them came here to play billiards and darts. They don't drink fancy cocktails just beer, whiskey, and tequila. I enjoy my first day of work. Bill is very satisfied with my work. He tells me I can keep the tips they gave me. I clean everything after the last customer is gone at 3 am. Saturday is a long shift because of the customers. But I don't feel too tired after my first day. Every second day I work. We close together and say our goodbyes. I headed home, took a shower then fell asleep in my bed.

In the morning I make some bacon with scrambled eggs and toast bread. I drink up my orange juice and head to the lake to swim a little. When I reached the place I saw that a man was already here waist-deep in the water and washing his upper body. I hid behind a tree so he shouldn't see me. His back is for me. He has brown hair but when the sun is shining on it it's light brown with the shaggy haircut. He is tall, with wide shoulders, muscular and when he moves I can see all the muscle is working. His a*s cheek looks so hard like a rock and not any fat on his body. My mouth is watering to look at this perfect Greek god. If the back is looking so good how the front can look like. I can feel my heart is beating faster and Mona purr in my head. I gulp a big hope he didn't hear it. The wind changes direction and blows from behind me. To my misfortune, he turned a little to see his mouth pull into a smirk. He knows I'm watching. I step back more hiding behind the tree. I saw his beautiful chocolate-whiskey brown eye, which hypnotized me. He licks his bottom lip and suddenly shifts into a midnight black huge wolf with silver paws. He looked for me the last time and disappeared into the woods. After he leaves I look around for another possible visitor apart from me. I place my towel on the ground and take off my t-shirt and my jeans shorts. I stand now in my black bikini. I slowly walked closer to the water to check the temperature. When I made sure it's okay I jumped in and swam some circles.

Connor POV

It has been a couple of days since she is gone. I even hired some private detective to look after her. They are sure that she doesn't leave the USA because she didn't use her passport. But how she can disappear like a ghost. I even contacted all the Alphas in the USA but nobody saw her. She is really good at hiding, I must admit. My wolf is didn't speak for me since he said :

"You stupid human. Now I lost my mate and I never will be complete without her. An Alpha without his Luna is not a real Alpha just a half soul. Let's see how you'll take care of yourself without my help." That was the last time I heard his voice after that complete silence. My pack heard about me, met my mate, and rejected her. They are not happy I can feel it but I can't do anything before speaking to Sophie. Tyler my beta try to keep the soul in me. The she-wolves behave differently. I have to keep my eyes always open, now they know I rejected my mate. They take every opportunity to sleep with me. I haven't touched anyone, only that girl on my rejection night. It makes me irritate more because I used to sleep around and enjoy the she-wolf company. Tyler my beta walking in and distracting my thoughts.

"Is there anything new? Did they find her?-I ask curiously.

"No sorry Connor. We have nothing, not even her scent we can catch. We know she has a witch friend so maybe she gave her some potion to hide her scent. Her phone is still turned off. No credit card use. The last one when she leaves and she took the money.

"Inspect her witch friend. Found out if she knows something about her. I don't know what I will do if I don't find her. Thor is shut completely. How can I be a good Alpha without my wolf? What should I do?

"I know how deep you're bro. We will find a solution and you will be better. Maybe we should find out if a second chance mates out there somewhere for you.

"I know we will. Maybe she already finds her second mate, that's why she is hiding. I don't know if after that mistake the moon goddess gives me another chance with somebody else.-I sigh and think about Sophie. Why I was so stupid to her. Tyler leaves the room and leaves me with my thoughts. I heard a soft knock on my door.

"Come in.-I said but after I regret my decision because Natalie our pack s*ut walk in a little top that almost hides her breast and a very mini skirt. She walks close to my desk and comes near my chair behind my table.

"What do you want Natalie?-I asked curiously what she had in her mind.

"Alpha Graham I came here to give you a possibility.

"What you talk about?-ask and arch my eyebrow.

"I know you need a Luna. After you reject your mate you need a chosen one. I can be the one. I'm in heat now and I can give you an heir. Your genes continue to be inherited and your Alpha blood too. So what do you think about it?-she said in a sexy tone and touched my chest.

"I'll always say NO to this chance. You're a b*tch and I know we had a one-night stand but that's all. If I choose another Luna that will never be you. I don't need a s*ut by my side who sleeps with almost every male wolf in my pack. If I choose one that'll be the purest she-wolf in the world. Thanks for the opportunity but find someone else and LEAVE MY OFFICE NOW.-I shout at her and she winces in fear. Even without my wolf, I'm powerful. She ran out of my office and it makes me so good.

"Please Sophie come back, I'll make it right for you. For the rest of our life, I'll compensate you.
