Caleb's POV
My father said to roam the gathering, try to talk to the packs and I might, he said, might find my mate.
Little that he knows that I already found her. $hi7!? I don't like this. To find her, this early, just when I was about to explore my freedom.
No! No! No one should know. Nobody should know that I have found their future luna.
But what should I do? I need to think of something. Before she realizes the bond.
Wait. Realizes the bond? That's it!? From what I can tell, her wolf hasn't surfaced yet.
We can agree to reject this bond. But what if she didn't agree with me?
No! I will make her agree!?
With that in mind, he started to look for her in the crowd.
I spotted her with her friends on the back table. She's laughing with them. I began to study her. From her face to her body. From what I can tell, she just phased recently. Meaning, she just turned twelve. Good. This means her wolf is still not aware of the mate bond. Lucky for me, my wolf hasn't surfaced yet, rejecting this bond will be easy. I smiled at myself.
I walked towards their table, I flashed the biggest smile on my face.
"Hello, girls!" I greeted them. I'm trying not to look at my mate. "Are you enjoying the party?" I asked them.
"Yes Caleb," a girl wearing a tube blouse said. She flicked her eyes. Oh, I know that gesture. This girl is trying to flirt with me. Well, she's pretty but not my type. "By the way, happy birthday" she extends her hand to me. "Again." And she smiles.
I reached for her hand, "thank you"
The others greeted me again and wished me my birthday.
"So, did you find her?" The girl wearing a brown turtle-neck sweater asked. "Is she here?"
I was taken by surprise. I looked at her, then at my mate, and then to the others. "No, I didn't find her", I looked at my mate as I said those words.
"Oh, don't be sad if you don't find her tonight," again, the girl with the tube blouse said.
I just smiled at that girl. I was about to say something when my best friend Leon appeared by my side.
He put his arms around my shoulder. "Excuse us ladies," he said to the girls at the table. "Caleb, the guys are waiting for you." He said.
"Oh sorry girls, please excuse me," I said and walked away from them.

Quincy's POV
The party ended at eleven. Since most of the pack members have school tomorrow, the alpha ended the party earlier, to the dismay of many.
The girls and I walked our way home. We talked about the party and how we are all disappointed that Caleb didn't find our future luna tonight.
"Maybe she is not from here," Alicia said. "what do you think girls?"
"Yea, maybe she's from another pack," I said. I want to talk to them about the feeling I felt earlier at the party when I looked at Caleb's eyes.
We reached Emily's home first. "Well girls, see you all tomorrow at school." She said.
"See you at school!" We all said.
"Good night!" Emily said and opened the front door of their house.
I was the second one to reach home. "Good night girls!" I said to them. "Be careful on your way home."
"Good night Icy!" they both said. And they continue to walk.
I was about to turn the doorknob when something from the bushes moved and made a sound.
I turned around and looked at the field. "Who's there?" I said. Something moved from the shadow. I tried to recognize it. I saw the silhouette of a man.
I made a defense stand. "What do you want?" I asked. "Who are you?"
"Good evening," the shadow said. I felt a tingling in my heart as I heard that voice. The same feeling I got when I looked at Caleb's eyes earlier tonight.
I walked towards the shadow. Something is telling me that he's not dangerous.
As I walk toward him, he also walks toward me and as the light of the moon shines over him, I finally saw his face.
"Caleb," I said. I smiled at him. "What are you doing here?" I asked him.
He stops walking when he's a few feet away. "I need to talk to you," he said.
"Can you come with me for a minute?"
I was wondering what he wanted to talk about. Then something hit me in my mind. The feeling, this tingling in my heart. I felt a connection with him. Like a bond.
"Oh my god!" I screamed in my mind. "Could it be? Am I his..?" I wondered in my mind.
"Let's take a walk." He said and turned around and started walking back to the bushes.
I followed behind him. I'm getting excited. I might be mated to the future alpha. "Oh my god! What should I do?"
I stop walking when he suddenly turns around and faces me.
"I forgot to ask your name?" He said.
"Oh," that's right. He doesn't know who I am. "My name's Quincy." I introduced myself.
"Quincy?" He repeated. "Quincy what?" Again he asked. He needed my full name, I told myself.
"Quincy Jane Darrison," I said, looking straight into his eyes.
"Quincy Jane Darrison," he repeated and I nodded to him. "Alright, let's go." He said and continued his walk.
