In The Avia River
Adolfo grabbed Ergon's hand. They both jumped into the River of Avia. Ergon just go with the flow until he was surprised jumping out from the river and appeared in the land of Olvia.
“You are just grabbing and holding my hand without my permission, Adolfo. I won't tolerate that?”
Ergon immediately pulled his hands from Adolf, feeling irritated while trying to dry his clothes. “Now, you even soak my entire body and clothes into that river.”
“Isn't it fun, Ergon?” Adolfo move his face closer to him, and the latter took a step back from him. He's almost kissing him.
“Are you nuts? Do you realize that your face is closer to mine?” he irritably said while pushing him back to where he stands, but the moment he pushes him, Adolfo continued smiling at him. “Weird black wolves.”
“Oh, yeah? How about you prince of brown-red wolves?” he was teasing him, but Ergon was surprised because he knew his pack.
“How and when did you know about my clan?” out of curiosity, he asks.
“Well, I just guess it. And besides, it shows from your eyes. I notice that whenever you are irritated, the color of your right eyes turned red and your left turn brown when you are sad. Don't get me wrong, okay? I am not a stalker. I saw your brown eyes earlier when I grab your hand to jump into the river and a while ago your red eyes when your pisses off,” Adolfo explained. He started undressing his shirt and pants, exposing his nakedness.
“Get a room, will you, Adolfo?” Ergo was shy to look at him and turn his back. He doesn't want to look at his nakedness from head to toe.
“Oh, come on. We're just kids who love playing around here. It's not a big deal if I exposed my butt or mine in front of you, unless?” Adolfo keeps on appearing in front of him naked while Ergon continued to close his eyes.
Ergo knew what he was talking about. He knew that he was teasing him. That is why, he never complained, but he's almost on the verge of spanking him on his head.
“All right. I won't tease you. Just don't look back. But, I'm going to hang my wet clothes in the grass so that the sun can dry it immediately. You can remove your clothes, too, and dry in under the sun, Ergon. I won't look back.”
Adolfo left Ergon alone for a while and went back, jumping into the river to swim. “I changed my mind. Why don't you leave your clothes under the sun and jump over here and swim with me, Ergon? The water is too tempting not to cool your body on the heat of the sun.”
He hears him. Ergon was just listening to his suggestion. He has a point. If he doesn't remove his clothes, he'll be punished again once he return home. And he doesn't want her nanny Hesa to receive the punishment on behalf of him.
“Make sure you're not looking at me, Adolfo. I can see you watching here. Turn around on the southern part of the river, will you?” he shouted, then saw him peeping on his direction.
“Geez. We're both young and not old. There is nothing to be ashamed of. We're both lads here, Ergon. But, if that's what make you come over, I will comply.”
Adolfo responded and began hiding his entire body into the water. Ergon can no longer see him and began taking off his clothes and dried it under the son. When he turns his gaze to the river, he can't see Adolfo. He immediately jumps into the river to find him, only to find out that he was a prank.
“Surprise! I thought you are as cold as an iceberg, Ergon. I never knew that you're too concerned about looking to find out what happened to me. Your brown eyes speak more of what is happening in your heart.”
Adolfo was right. Ergon has long known since then what is happening on his eyes. Whenever he's sad, lonely, concern, cried, and all sort of sadness, the color of his left eyes changed to brown. His right eyes changed into red only if he was angry, irritated, or pisses off. That's one thing, he can't change. It's the fact of his clan in the Land of Dravia.
“Enough of your drama, Ergon. Enjoy the water. Let's swim together until our wings are tired and exhausted.” Adolfo splatters some water using his hands and threw it to Ergon's face.
The earlier face he saw from Ergon was changed into a happy one. Ergon could not understand why every time he was with Adolfo, he felt some bond or connection that pulling them together. Adolfo always appeared whenever he needed someone to console him, or at least one that can make him smile. And he knew that it was because of the black wolves' clan, Adolfo.
“Now, that's what I am talking about. Both your eyes returned to normal, just like mine. Hazel brown. That means, your heart is happy, Ergon. And I want to see that same eyes the next time we see each other.”
After saying those words, Adolfo jumps out of the water and started picking Ergon's clothes to bring it to the land of Dravia. Ergon was again surprised when he saw Adolfo jump from the land of Olvia to the land of Dravia where an oak tree stands.
“You can swim back to your land, right, Ergon?” Adolfo asks and Ergon turn his stare to Adolfo who's now wearing his clothes. “Until next time, my friend. I hope I was able to console your broken heart earlier. Anyway, I enjoy your company, Ergon. So, until next time? Goodbye!”
Ergon wasn't able to catch up with Adolfo's jump and speed, but his words made his heart's out for joy in silence. A part of him enjoyed what he did, and the smiles he gave in front of him, and for his being honest towards him.
“You weird personality make me want to know you more, Adolfo. I am hoping to see you again when time allows me to return to the River of Avia.”
He was left soaking his body in the river until Ergon decides to go up from the river to put on his clothes.
…
Unknown to Ergon and Adolfo, earlier while they were arguing, someone from the land of Olvia saw them. The stranger keep itself hidden and distance himself five steps away from the where they were talking earlier. Watching them enjoying talking and smiling in the river made its eyes changed into full black. It was full of hatred and jealousy.
“So, this is what you do all along, Adolfo. I wonder what your father will do to you, Ergon once he finds out that you are seeing a black man in the land of Olvia?”
Its black eyes turned himself into a black wolf and transformed back into that of a human figure, then disappeared in the valley, returning to where he came from.
…
Olvia's Castle,
Land of Olvia
“Where have you been again, Adolfo?” his father greeted him again in pretentious anger.
“Oh, come on, father. It's just the two of us. No need for some formality. I am tired. Can I get a hug and rest for a while in your sturdy chest and big embrace?” Adolfo started being clingy towards his father when he entered the castle.
“You are always ruining my acting, Adolfo. Why can't you act like I did?” Olv said, but he cannot control Adolfo's clingiest. His son instantly hid his face into his chest and began hugging him tightly.
“I just help a friend from the southern side of the river, father. I'll take a nap, now, in your arms.”
Olv absolutely heard his son's words. He heard him saying a friend he saved from the southern side of the river, which he knew that it belongs to the Dravia.
“How on earth did he cross the other side of the river? Is he going to kill himself there? What if some brown-red wolves captured him? I have to stop him from seeing whoever he was seeing on the other side of the river before Drav sense the existence of black wolves.”
Olv was caressing his son's hair while thinking of a way to stop him from visiting or seeing someone on the other parts of the river. But, when he looks at him closely, his heart melted by the innocence he was seeing in him. Every time he looked at him sleeping in his arms, Olv cannot control his anger, or irritations on his son Adolfo.
“You are like an angel hiding underneath the skin of a wolf, Adolfo. I don't know who that someone you are seeing on the other side, but I can let you continue. I'm sorry, but I have to do this to protect you, my son.”
