Silvia Jerkins, My Fiance

1009 Words
''There's no law against having an abortion,'' Celia whined, although she did what Sean had asked her to do because that was the only option for her. Sean led the way while Celia walked behind him, and then Doctor Schneider followed behind both of them, checking Celia out from behind and wondering how he was going to make her forget about the abortion. Just then, something crossed his mind. His mother had been bothered about him getting married, right? Well, this was an opportunity as he had already gotten Celia pregnant, and he liked her because, since the night that he had her, he could not stop thinking about her. ''Sean, take us to Bagel Villa.'' As soon as Doctor Schneider entered the car after Celia, he instructed Sean to drive to his family's house. Sean was surprised. Yes, he knew that Doctor Schneider was lying when he said he was taking Celia to the police station, but he never expected that the Doctor, who had never taken any woman to meet his grandmother apart from Juliet, whom his grandmother forced on him anyway, was taking a woman he had a one-night-stand with home to the Bagel family. ''Sure.'' Sean agreed and started the car. ''Bagel Villa? Is that where the police station is? Bagel?'' Celia asked with shock as she stared at Doctor Schneider closely. Who didn't know about the Bagel family in that city? Celia's eyes shone when she realized that the person who had apprehended her was the infamous Schneider Bagel. Schneider was the only child of the Bagel family, and he was seen as and treated like a god anywhere he went because of the great influence that his family carried. Nobody answered Celia when she asked if the police station now belonged to the Bagel family, and seeing how Stoic Doctor Bagel was, she stopped asking questions and just stayed quiet as she was being driven to their destination. Celia was politely led to the large house that sat in the vicinity that was specially made for people of influence and class. Just like the Bagel family. In the same neighborhood, Celia sighted one of the houses that belonged to her family and one that was supposed to belong to her,, if not that her uncle made sure she didn't get it. ''Grandma!'' Doctor Schneider called politely with a loud voice as soon as he entered the house, and before long, an elderly and graceful woman started to approach them. The elderly woman had a straight face plastered on her expression at first, but as soon as she spotted the beautiful Celia Thompson beside her grandson, her face lit up. Celia was shocked to see the way Schneider's face also lit up as he looked at his grandmother lovingly, giving her a hug and introducing Celia. ''Grandma, this is Silvia Jerkin. She's my fiancé.'' As soon as Doctor Schneider said what he said, he flashed Celia a deep look and made sure to make her understand that she had to play along. Fiance? Celia almost dropped dead when she heard what the doctor whom she had just met for an abortion, said to his grandmother. What was going on? The glee in old Mrs. Bagel's eyes could not be doubled as she hugged Celia dearly while tahnking her stars for allowing her to witness such a day before she passed on. ''Now I can return to the maker in peace because when I see your parents, I will tell them that you have secured the heir to the Bagel family.'' Old Mrs. Bagel tapped on her son's face cordially to show that she was delighted. ''Speaking of an heir, grandma. My fiancé here is pregnant already. She will be giving birth to my child in nine months.'' Doctor Schneider put his arm around Celia and squeezed her tightly in a bid to signal her to play along. Now, that part of playing along was becoming too serious because Celia did not want to give birth to any child at that time of the night. She was simply not ready for it. This information that Doctor Schneider just let out, got his grandmother so excited, her knees wobbled. ''No way. That means the deal is even complete. I will get to witness my great-grandchild turn into a big boy before I leave this earth.'' Old Mrs. Bagel hugged Celia over and over again. ''We need to start the marriage preparation. It's going to be a big one, right? I need to call the wedding planner I have had on my mind for all these years.'' Mrs. Bagel started to reach for her phone to make the call, but Doctor Schneider stopped her. ''No, grandma. We will just get a marriage certificate first thing tomorrow, and that will do.'' Doctor Schneider took Celia's hand and started to lead her into one of the bedrooms in the house. ''This is not the police station.'' Celia tried to wriggle out of Doctor Schneider's grip, but the man was too strong for someone that had such a calm and handsome face. No matter how much she twisted and turned, she could not get to let the man let her go. ''Stay quiet and play along, Ms. Silvia.'' Doctor Bagel opened the door of a room and led her in, closing the door behind him. ''What is all this?'' Celia eventually got the chance to yell at Doctor Schneider at the top of her voice. ''I swear to everything alive that as soon as I am out of here, I will take you to court and make you pay for this nonsense.'' Celia was livid. Doctor Schneider looked at her and scoffed. Did she not realize who he was? Send him to court? All the judges in the city and the country as a whole sought favors from the Bagel family and would be delighted to do anything that the Bagel family asked them to, including adjust such a court hearing that Celia was bent on having, to their favor.
