Am so sorry for not believing in you

I kept tossing and turning the whole night as I recalled how our conversation had ended with that stranger. He had been of great help to me and that was at least something that was worthy thanking but there was still something that could not help brbut roam in my mind.

A part of me did not want to believe that he was a bad person due to how much care that he had shown me but then another part of me still did not want to think about him as being anyone who could at all offer any help no matter what .

I went on toss from one side of the hospital bed to the other until when I was interrupted by the nurse who had been keeping me the whole of the night.

“Hello , ma’am . Are you okay?” she asked politely as she came towards me standing by the bed post .

“Yes I am. What even makes you think that I’m actually not okay .” I replied rudely but I only realized when I was done

“Am sorry .” I was quick to say , Despite all the situation that I was in there was no need /of treating others badly and yet they had nothing that they had done to me .

“It is okay madam, I understand the situation that you are in right now that it is not anything easy .” I stared at the nurse for sure seeing as though she was the first person since all the things that had happened in my life being so good to me just like she was now .

I wondered if the world still had so many people who were as good as her left . You know we are now living in a world where by people are only minding about themselves and hurting others is something that they never care at all .

I stared at the nurse more and knew that somehow she was the only person that I could trust during such a situation sincerely .

“Dear , I really cannot sleep well.” I admitted siting up . At this moment I already had something that was burning right into me and I baldy wanted to know everything but I did not know how I was supposed to begin this .

“It is okay . I am here to talk to . You know I was told that you can tell me to help you with anything that you want.”

“Who gave you that order?” I could not help asking that .

“Mr. Nathan .”

“Mr. Nathan , who the hell is he even?” I asked. She went ahead and explained to me that she was actually working for the so called Nathan who had been good to me and brought me to hospital.

Actually he had found me when I was done and he decided to pick me up so that he would actually save my life . the nurse swore that Nathan was a very good person and in fact he never knew anything about what had happened to me .

This actually was something else that made me so perplexed. What the hell was this man and what did he want with me . As far as o know , there are no people who never do something when they are actually there is nothing that they want from me .

Just like that , I could not sleep any more until the next morning . When it was finally day break , I felt I was strong enough and what I wanted was to leave the hospital . I did not want to be in this place that was actually just reminding me of my baby .

My only hope that I had lost here . It was so much for me that I did not know what next was coming in my life now .

“Hey ..” I called out to the nurse who was dozing peacefully at the couch in the corner of the room. I waited patiently to see if she could say anything but there was nothing .

“Hey .” I called her once again and this time around she woke up looking at me in a way that I could tell that she was actually just woken up. .

“Yes, ma’am.” She said waking up and came straight to where I was. I felt so sorry for her for even just looking at her could tell you that she was really not okay . She seemed so exhausted and any one could see that by just looking at her .

“I want us to talk about him.” I said and she flashed me a look that shown me that she had actually not understood what I had just told her .

“I mean Nathan .” I said to clarify to her .

“Oh!” She replied with a warm smile and went ahead to sit next to me .

“He is a very warm person but the fact is his life is so private . Other than him being honest he is- she had not gone more than that when the door went open revealing the real person whom we were just talking about not long ago .

“Hey , how are you now ?” he said with some hint of concern in his voice or it was just me who was actually thinking about it . The nurse quickly stood up and went to the other side of the room standing there.

“She is okay now. We were actually even chatting.” the nurse went ahead and started to give her report to Nathan.

“It is okay , you can go and have everything cleared . I think it is time for me to remove her from the hospital.”

“Where are you taking me ?” I was quick to ask . Though he had helped me as he claimed, I still was not at the right time of trusting any male person. Actually not even only male but all people who happened to ne human.

I was done with all mankind for how I had been treated by my husband and his lover . Those people were so heartless and did not even think about me at all.

By this time , the nurse had already left the room leaving me with only Nathan who had not even answered the question that I had asked him . He moved and sat next to me before gazing right into my eyes.

He went ahead and opened his mouth but did not say a single word. I continued to stare at him just curious about what he was about to say to me .

“Look, Rain .” he said but just ended there once again .

“Okay , the truth is Rain you don’t have to worry about anything . I promise you that I am not going to do anything bad to you .”

“I might actually look like a stranger to you but you just have to have so little trust in you . If I managed to bring you here to the hospital then you have to at least know that I cannot hurt you.”

I contemplated about it and knew that I had not treated him well. I had actually been harsh to him sincerely .

“Am sorry for not believing in you .” I apologized .
