Rain POV

I woke up when I heard the car pull over . I was quick to look through the window to see where I was . As much as I had believed and accepted the help he had given me so far ,it was not a grantee that he was a good person .

What if he ended up k********g or even doing much more nasty things to me than anything that I can possibly think about .

“Where I am ?” I asked in a panic state at the direction that the car was now taking . I of course was not able to get an immediate answer since I was the only one at the back of the car while he drove .

We made a stop at a very nice and luxurious looking gate . It opened automatically and we made our way through the gate. I was taken by the interior of the mansion . It was the most beautiful sight that I had even seen .

In fact I had only seen such a house in the Hollywood movies but I did not know that it even existed until now . Before this , I had thought that my ex-husband was one of the richest men I knew but that was totally wrong .

He drove the car towards the garage as we passed by so many men in black . Without thinking too much about it I knew right away that those were security personals .The parking lot was another scene worthy to watch , it had so many cars and though I did not know the types, just looking at them one could know that they are so expensive . They were not five , or ten but mind that .

What type of place were we? It obviously closed my mind as Nathan had already opened the door for me and I was right outside standing like someone who was actually lost in the jungle and did not know her or his way out .

“hey , let us go.” He said removing me from the so many thoughts that were actually already going through my mind at the moment .

I moved closely behind him as we passed by the men in black who kept on bowing low for us until when were finally out of the way . Upon getting to the main house, there were ladies all dressed in similar outfits and I supposed those were house helps but they were insanely beautiful.

In fact one could think that they may be work in a hotel or even they could pass for air hostess.

“You are welcome boss.” one said quickly getting Nathan’s jacket from him . Others gave us way and in a blink of an eye they had disappeared. You could sense that there was so much tension all over and every one seemed to be so scared of Nathan . This actually made me even wonder more of who exactly this guy was . I could not get it sincerely .

If whatever is here belongs to him then he is insanely rich…fucking wealth indeed. The interior of the house was another sight that not a normal person could ignore. I could see that almost the whole interior contained Golden things .

At this moment all the pain that I had had in my body and heart had diapered . I was just admiring the beauty that was before me .

“Sit down ,please.” He said to me politely and I did just that because I was so taken aback by what was before me which made it difficult for me to just contain what was before me at this moment .

Just as we had sat down , three of the women entered carrying different dishes and placed them at the tables.

“We brought the juice and the fruits for your guest , Mr. Millers .”One of the ladies said but he was looking down all this time . All this shown that they were practically scared of him or there was something else that I had not yet understood.

He stood up there and then and went straight to the dishes that had been set on the table and started to inspect them; opening one at a time. He opened the first , the second, the third, the fourth , the fifth…

“WHAT THE HELL IS THIS !” he yelled furiously as he got hold of the golden dish and threw it away to the floor all the content scattering and scaring the four of us .

As if that is not enough, he moved straight to the lady who was in the middle-who actually appeared to be the leader and got hold of her by the collar . I swear I could see the poor woman shivering like crazy .

“How dare you bring such poor quality fruits for my visitor!” he bellowed .

“Mr.Millers…

“Shut the hell , is there anything that I don’t provide here for you to bring such poor quality things for my guest . Do you know who she is .”

“Mr.Millers the thing is-

“Just shut up and get out of my mansion before I do something terrible to you three .” he warned . I looked at the ladies as they started to plead kneeling down while wailing but it seemed like they were actually preaching to the converted because by the look of things it was very clear that he had made a finally decision and he was not going to add on anything else.

The three ladies all got out of the living room leaving just the two of us . There was this kind of tension that I had not even known where it had emerged from but it was right there .

I opened my mouth at least three times but it appeared as though the words had stuck at the bottom of my tongue and so I could not say anything . I stared at the fruits that were sacrattred all over the room .

To me, I could not see anything that was wrong with them for sure . I decided on what was the next thing that I was supposed to do . I knew it was not the best thing but to me , I thought that could be the good thing to do in this situation .

I stood up and moved towards the place where the fruits had been scattered all over and was about to behind down to pick them but he was right at the side-I swear I did not even expect him to act in the way he acted after how he had treated those ladies when I thought that they had not done anything wrong .

“Please, Rain . Leave it , that is not your work plus you are not okay at all . “ he said in a tone of voice that even got me much more confused than before . He raised one of his hands and put it on mine raising me up .

I was quick to pull away from him . Recalling how he had treated those ladies, I was actually getting much more worried of him now . Actually the little trust that I had in him had faded away in just a blink of an eye.

I could see that there was no difference between him and my ex –husband . Treating people like they were trash clearly shown that they were animals . They did not apply to be called human beings because they did not mind about the feelings of other people.

That meant that I was not supposed to be here no matter what . I was never meant to be with animals, I am a person who deserved much more than this .

“Leave me alone !” I yelled at him . I could clearly see it in his eyes that he had not expected me to act towards him this way .

“Rain , what is wrong?” he inquired angering me even more. So does this mean that he just thinks that he will always get what he wants just like that …that is not with me of course because those are things that I cannot expect.

“What is wrong ?” I fired the question back at him . I was so furious though I knew that I was not in the right position to be that way . I however just could not just help me .

“You are sick , you don’t have to strain yourself in any way .” he said .

“I know I owe you a lot for everything that you have done for me but I cannot be in such a place ,plus I don’t even know who you are .” I came up with the first excuse that I could possibly think about .

I started to move towards the door but he caught up with me very soon since I could not manage to move faster at all .

“Please, you don’t have to go . I promise you that I am not a bad person . I just want what is good for you .” he said . Once again , he was back to how he was talking . He spoke in a way that got me so puzzled and could not manage to make a decision myself.

He seemed a good person at times and yet at times I could not even tell what type of person he was. That was how my life had turned in less than even two full days . But how my life had turned to get to this point , it was something that was very hard to think about .

I had lost my marriage, lost my baby and lastly in the house of a man that I know by only his first name . How life turns before you even know it .

“Boss, there is an emergency .” a masculine voice interrupted the silence and broke the silence that clearly existed between us .
