Two hours later - When Alicia came out of the VIP box, her face was pale, and she felt very embarrassed. Her hands were swollen, and she looked terrible.
David Lee, who had come out just behind her, was not in much better shape, and his knees still ached.

Once David found the room where Alicia was hiding, he rushed in and slammed the door behind him. Then he walked up to her and began slapping her across the face. "You slut!" he hissed. "I've been taking care of your business, but you have hurt me badly in return. Just wait and see what's going to happen to you now!"
David turned around angrily, and because Alicia had been unprepared for his attack, she fell into the wall behind her. Her vision began to blur, and she developed a splitting headache in a matter of seconds. David didn't seem to care, though. He left the room angrily, and without a second thought for her well-being.
Alicia was so furious. She blamed this all on Kristi. "What a b***h!" she grumbled. "She was a maid and cleaner. She has no business being in the PR department!
"I will never forgive her!"

In the afternoon of the same day, Kristi came out of the room without knowing why. She was confused, her throat was dry, and her head was heavy. She walked along the corridor, and when she turned the corner, she almost fainted. Before she could, though, a sharp and sarcastic female voice sounded sarcastically in her ears. It was Alicia. "Kristina," she said, "aren't you comfortable after sleeping for so long? Are you only here to be lazy?
"Why can't you receive guests? Don't you know that we don't care for losers? If you go on like this, you can f**k off." Alicia stood akimbo and gave Kristi a condescending look. "A psycho like you doesn't deserve this job. There is nothing left for you in this world, but to wait for death. Am I right?"
When Kristi didn't refute her, Alicia began to sneer.
A cold female voice suddenly came from behind them: "Is that enough?"
Alicia looked back and saw Minister Tianna approaching. She had a cold expression on her face, and her fists were clenched at her sides. "Alicia, don't find fault with her again!"
"Minister," Alicia argued innocently, "I was just exchanging experiences with my colleague. How can you say that I was finding fault with her?" She turned to Kristi and said, "Kristina, tell our Minister - did I bully you?"
Kristi's breath was hot. Her ears were buzzing, and she didn't understand what Alicia was talking about. The moment when Tianna appeared, though, she felt safe. She slightly opened her lips and said, "Minister Fernandez, it is true. She has been bullying me ever since I got here."
Alicia turned to Kristi and hissed at her. "What do you mean, Kristina? How dare you accuse me, falsely?"
"Enough!" Tianna interrupted her with a cold tone of voice. "I know what kind of person you are, so I will make something clear to you now: if you trouble Kristi again, I won't have mercy on you."
Alicia curled her lips contemptuously and said perfunctorily, "Okay, Minister. I will be obedient and not cause you any trouble."
Tianna frowned at Alicia. Then, after a moment, she suddenly chuckled lightly and said, "Alicia, look at your hands. You don't want to be punished a second time, do you?"
Kristi looked down subconsciously, and Alicia's face turned red with anger. To cover up what had happened that morning, she had purposely wrapped her injured hands with thick gloves, but Tianna had seen through her ruse.
For a moment, Alicia felt embarrassed and humiliated. She glared at Kristi angrily, and then she turned and left.
Once Alicia was gone, Kristi turned to Tianna and said, "Thank you, Minister. I am greatly relieved."
Tianna sighed helplessly and said, "I am nothing, and such a warning is useless to someone like Alicia. She will come for you again, and she won't stop coming for you until she's chased you away. You should be more careful in the future!"
Kristi nodded and said in a dry voice, "Yes, I will pay attention."
Tianna looked Kristi over and asked, "Are you all right? You don't look well."
Kristi shook her head. "It's okay..." she replied. "I'm just a little tired. I'll be fine after I get some sleep."
Tianna nodded and said, "Well, you'd better get off to bed then. And if you need anything, feel free to come and talk to me."
Kristi thanked Tianna, and then the Minister returned to her duties.
Kristi leaned against the wall and slowly slid to the floor as Tianna disappeared down the corridor. She had a fever, and she knew it. If she had money to go to the doctor, she would. But alas, she didn't.
Finally, she forced herself off the floor and began the long trek back to her room.
...
Ray watched as Kristi struggled to her feet. Three years ago, she had been a woman with status. Now, she was nothing but a bag of bones, feeble, pathetic, and skittish. Kristi didn't even know he was there, because she was too afraid to raise her eyes from the floor. He laughed silently – My how the mighty have fallen!
When he thought about this, he felt an unspeakably complex emotion.
Ray's thoughts were terminated when Kristi fell forward weakly. His pupils twitched, and he responded without thinking. He rushed forward and caught her in his strong arms.
Ray touched Kristi's face gently and said, "Kristina, Wake up." He reached out and patted her cheek, but the woman in his arms didn't respond – and he began to panic.
