Chapter XIII -The Facts

    Lucas stunned to hear that question. He tried to looking simple words to describe it. He usually knows it but never know how to explain such a common knowledge like this.

    “Umm... science... science is a kind of knowledge of understanding nature and we learn it to make something... I got a bit confused how to explain it to you...” Lucas mumbling and thinking so hard to find the right words to describe it. He then suddenly looked at the wall of igloo. He quickly pointed at the wall and make them startled.

    “This! You made the ice become a wall, right? Did you know that the cold makes water freezing and turned it into a solid form? The water become ice. This process also a part of science... how the process the ice could build into something useful like this igloo, you need a knowledge for building, isn't it? Without you realize it, there's a science everywhere and you already learn it. And what you called as a dark magic, it's just a high level of science. They have been upgrading it. Understand?” Lucas looked at them with full of hope.

    “You make it sound like we have something amazing from the beginning,” Bea mumbled. Lucas snapped his fingers to what Bea just said before.

“That's it! You already know it but you just didn't know what it’s called,” said Lucas.

    “How could you know about this?” Zuonn asked with frowning his head. Lucas stunned for a moment and considering if he need to tell them or not. He then sighed a bit before take a decision.

    “Because I'm from your future.”

    Lucas looked directly at their face. They were silent for a moment before they laughed so hard. This makes Lucas frowned his forehead when see them laughing uncontrollable. They even almost fell down from their seats.

    “You are so funny, Lucas!” they laughed.

    Lucas then understand that they thought he was just joking with them. Lucas then sighed a long breath before say something in desperate voice.

    “I'm not joking, you know?”

    The three of them stopped laughing. They looked at Lucas who still put his serious face. They then back to their seats after Lucas waiting them to stop laughing. Lucas looked at them with boring eyes.

    “I don't know why this is so funny for you, but I'm saying the truth!” he said. They silent again and focus on him.

    “You might think I'm crazy, but don't you feel it's strange to see someone fainted in the middle of blizzard with just wearing short pants and thin clothes? Well, I think you remembered that you never saw my clothes before, right? And I said that it was a fashion in my country. Actually, it's not like that. What I wearing on the first time you found me is the next fashion you will wear on years later. I don't know how I could turn back to ancient time like this. I just know that I was in the middle of my sweet dream before I wake up freezing in the snow field!” Lucas cannot stop himself to talking about it. He still feels so confused how he could have traveled into the past.

    They are stunned and shocked to hear what Lucas just said. Lucas know that they also think the same thing about his strange appearance from the start and what he said just makes sense to them.

“It's really a horrible future if we will be wearing the same clothes as you,” Bea mumbling while rolling his eyes trying to imagine himself in short pants and t-shirt like Lucas. He shuddered and tried to forget it.

“Well, it's not really horrible because what you saw my clothes earlier was my sleep wear. We actually have a nice clothes,” Lucas added.

“But it's so thin! We could be freezing by just wearing that! Also this never-ends winter is not suitable with that!” Lopo protested.

    Lucas suddenly remembered about the never-ends winter. He finally came to the main problem. He tried to clear his throat before speaking.

    “Well, there's another problem about that and it actually the cause of this never-ends winter,” Lucas start to nervous as he wants to tell them about Ghiglea. Lucas disobey Misty's words to not telling the Sororice people because he thought that all of the misunderstanding between these worlds need to be clear.

    “What you called as the devil, I mean those people... actually they made this winter for Sororice. But, let me explain it first!” Lucas quickly added his words because he saw their face start to get angry.

    “They told me that they have been went to Sororice before and all of you met them, right? But, for Sororice people who don't know about technology thinks that they are devils. They said that they tried to talked to you but because you were so afraid to them, all of you throwing them with big rocks so they had no choice to leave Sororice and back to their place. They are so afraid of Sororice people attacking them so they created this never-ends winter to close their main gate. That's why you cannot find them,” said Lucas.

“Their main gate? Where?” Zuonn asked.

“The river. When I fell down to the river, that's why I could enter their place. The main gate is underwater,” Lucas answered. He feels that he better talk to Zuonn who more calm than the others. He also easily to understand.

    “Underwater??? How could??? Nah! That's mean they are really a witch! Devil!” Lopo shouted again and stand up quickly. Lucas sighed as he wants to slap this guy.

    “Can you just shut up? I haven't done with my words,” Lucas said in cold tone and looked at him sharply. Bea who sit next to Lopo, quickly grab his shoulder to force him sit again. After saw him keep silent, Lucas continue his story.

    “These people lived in a country name Ghiglea. Their town has been developed by high technology, even I have not seen something like that. They also live below your place right now,” Lucas pointed at the floor. The three of them looked so shock.
