Chapter 6: nice to see you again

1116 Words
“Oh, you're Blane? It’s nice to meet you, sweetheart,” says their mother who stood up and went to him. She kissed Blane on the cheeks before giving him a hug. Blane was still uncomfortable since he doesn’t use to this kind of interaction. He came from a broken family so he never experience what it felt like to be greeted with a kiss and a hug. “H-hi,” he stammered, “So you’re Blane? Nice to meet you,” their father started, “I’m sorry for what my son did to you,” Blane bit his lower lip as Krys escorted him to take a seat beside him on the couch. Mr. Fitzgerald also sat across them while Knight was still watching the situation. It seems like Krys and Blane were a couple since the two can’t be separated from each other. It was cute to see that Blane was still nervous and a bit scared. “I only heard everything yesterday. If Krys here didn’t beat the s**t out of his brother, I will never know that I’m going to be a grandfather. So for my son to take the full responsibility, you will marry him,” Blane widens his eyes again and looks him and Krys back. He couldn't believe what he just heard. They just met twice and now they will be marrying each other? He doesn't even know the person. He just knew that Knight Fitzgerald was a total jerk, just like how his best friend described him. “Anyways, I have a meeting right now. I just waited for you to meet you, Blane. You seem like a good kid and I want to discuss more with you in the future,” Mr. Fitzgerald stood up from the couch and walked directly to the door. The wife followed him behind leaving the three inside the office. Blane wanted to cry but he can’t. He took a glanced at Krys who was in sorrow. Krys felt sorry for his friend. “Krys, I… I can't marry your brother,” he whispered. The taller held his hand and patted them with his own. “I promise, I will try my best to convince my dad, okay?” Krys said. “God, don't act like I’m not in here. I can hear you both,” Knight coldly said, “And you’re part of the meeting, little bro. Now, get out,” Krys knew that his father told him last night that he was also part of the meeting. He almost forgot it but what can he do, he cants just leave his friend in the office alone. “Don't worry. I will take good care of your friend. Besides, I will be marrying him so isn't that a baby step for getting to know each other?” Knight smirked at them. Krys clenched his jaw as he glared at him. He can't trust his brother right now. Leaving Blane with him isn't a good idea but he had no choice. “I will keep my promise,” Knight added. Krys was relieved that somehow, even if his brother was hard-headed, he still manage to listen to him last night. He was praying that Knight will fulfill those promises. “I’ll be right back, okay?” Krys whispered at Blane and the smaller slowly nod his head. If Knight didn’t impregnate Blane, he would think that the two were dating due to how close they were. Knight followed the back of Krys as he left the room. When he heard Krys close the door behind him, he walk pace back and forth in front of Blane, studying the smaller. He sat down at the coffee table in front of Blane while the latter flinched by his presence. He was scared of Knight. “How sure are you?” he said. “W-What?” “I said, how sure are you that it’s my child?” Blane furrowed his brows. Where is this coming from? Is he telling me that I'm lying? “It’s yours. I only slept with you that night,” he murmured. “Really? You were working at the club. How can I assure you that I’m the only one you slept with?” he likes teasing the smaller one while Blane was on the verge of tears. Hormones. "I work there as a server. I don't sleep with anyone," He smirked, "Then why did you sleep with me?" "I was in heat and you insisted on helping me!" He raised his voice which he suddenly regrets it, "sorry," "I'm pretty sure you were throwing the responsibility at me," Knight said. "What do you mean?" "You see, I encountered a lot of people like you. Some stupid omegas would come to me and tell me that I got them pregnant even though I haven't touched anyone. They would tell me that they are carrying my child," Blane gasped, "so you're telling me that I'm lying?" "Why not? I mean that's what people like you do, right? Lie and use me for my money," Knight gave him a sneered face as he took a sip of his coffee, "I know people like you. A f*****g gold digger who–" Knight didn't finish his words when Blane slapped him across his cheeks. He was shocked because it was the first time that someone touch his face in a violent way. Blane didn’t regret slapping the other. He was too much. He may be poor but he will never use a person for money. “You can just say no to the wedding and denied the child but you don’t have to downgrade me like that,” he whispered but the taller can be able to hear it. He looked at Blane who was in tears. He was fuming in red. It’s a cute sight to see, actually. He looks like a small angry puppy. Knight never said anything again because Blane dashed out of the office. He’s a jerk for saying those things but he can’t help but tease him even if in a harsh way. He was testing the smaller although he knew that Blane was telling the truth. He was just testing him if he can endure the alpha if they were already married. Being married in a cat and dog relationship is a tough one especially if you will give up easily. Sure, Blane is still in college but he’s still young. He’s pretty sure that he’s not ready for tying knots but what can they do, they have to for the sake of their child. They can learn how to love each other in the end, anyway.
