Chapter 3: From a whisper to a scream

“Thank you for taking me out,” Blane said after he opened the door of his apartment. Krys smiled as he closed the door behind him, “No problem, dummy. I always take you out when I have the chance.” He chuckled, “Oh, right. But still. You waited for me earlier,” The latter just gave him a smile as he slumped down on the couch to watch some shows again. Krys isn’t in the mood to go home since he wants to spend more time with his best friend. They will still be seeing each other tomorrow, but it’s not hanging out anymore but studying. It’s not that every day they’re spending time together without their studies interrupting Blane's work. Tomorrow will be Friday, which means Blane has to go to work again and get his pay every week. He was praying that the man he slept with last week wasn’t around and even if he is, he’s hoping that he won’t remember anything. The alpha was drunk so basically, he won’t remember anything. I hope so. It was past midnight and Krys stayed for a movie marathon at Blane’s apartment. The two were watching at the TV screen as Blane’s head was leaning on Kry’s shoulder. The two aren’t dating but when you look at them based on their actions, people will say that they were lovers for a long time. Blane was already in his deep sleep while Krys was focusing on the screen, but his mind was on Blane. How could he confess his feelings for him? Does he have any chance if he will try? Krys turned his head a little to face the sleeping Blane. He slowly leaned down to meet his lips but, unfortunately, he had no right to do it because he doesn’t want to take advantage of his best friend. He respects him and he didn’t have Blane’s consent. He pulled away from Blane’s face as he wrapped his arm around him. They both sleep together and, hopefully, tomorrow will be a new day. - Blane was wiping the table where he was doing his part-time job. He was glad that his class ended sooner, so he directly went to the club to end his shift sooner too. He usually works overtime for more paycheck, but this time, he’s not in the mood. It’s new to him not working overtime but he feels weird and nauseous. Actually, he had been feeling weird from the moment he woke up in the morning, but he didn’t mind. Maybe he’s just tired from his work. He didn’t bother telling Krys because he knew it would get him more worried and he doesn’t want that. As he cleaned all the tables, he went back to the staff room to chill a little bit. It has no customers, so he’s not that busy. He doesn’t want to think about that, but part of him hopes that he’s just overreacting. He grabbed his phone to check the date when suddenly something came from his stomach. He ran into the toilet as he slumped down on the bowl and released everything. That’s weird. He wiped his mouth with a tissue and flushed the toilet. He washed his hands on the sink and his face also. He looked at himself in the mirror, horrified. Maybe what if his hunch is true? It can’t be. Once his shift finished, Blane went to the local store to take a test. It’s awkward because he was so young yet he’s buying a pregnancy for himself. As he placed the box on the counter, the cashier looked at him. “For you?” she asked. Blane suddenly shook his head, “N-No… For my sister,” The cashier hummed, “You’re too young to get pregnant, kid. Be responsible,” He nods his head as he pays for the product. He walked hurriedly back to his apartment to get checked, praying that it was negative. He was nervous, afraid, and in a panic. Once he reached home, he walked straight to his bathroom, placed the plastic bag on top of the countersink, grabbed the box, and opened it. He didn’t wait any longer and took the test. When he’s done, he waits a couple of minutes as the instructions said. Blane was biting his lower lip and fidgeting his fingers as he walked his pace back and forth. The test was above the sink as he waited for the result. Once it was done, he looked at what the result was. A tear fell from his eye as he slumped down to the bathroom floor. He hugged his knees as he released some small sobs. “It can’t be… I can’t get pregnant,”
