Chapter Six

" Why are you here?" She asked him blankly, she didn't care if she was coming off as rude but he had been the first one to act like a complete jerk before She could think of a thousand places she would rather be than sitting across from the prince. He knew she couldn't tolerate his presence, was he showing up in her face just to annoy her? " I was asked to teach you table etiquettes, did you forget?" " Maybe I did, but you don't have to be here " " I wasn't going to disobey the teacher's request" " So, teacher's pet then" His jaw clenched, his red eyes narrowed in a glare at her " You think I enjoy being in your presence? Don't get full of yourself Lady Silva, this doesn't mean that anything has changed between us" Alex could only give him a silent look. If he still thought that she had feelings for him then the prince was more delirious than she thought Anyways, it was just better to remain quiet so that whatever this was could pass by quickly. Her family still thought the prince was courting her, it was better than telling them that he was here to teach her how to use the knives and forks They didn't speak to each other after that. Albert concentrated on demonstrating the different techniques of slicing up a vegetable and she tried her best to imitate him, still wondering why this was so significant for her to learn "You're doing it wrong" " I don't think so, am doing it exactly like you showed me" "You're clenching the knife too tightly, and the fork is in the wrong position" She bit the inside of her cheeks to prevent herself from cursing. This felt like she was back in kindergarten all over again. Never in a million years would she have thought she would end up learning how to eat all over again Albert cut up a vegetable and took a small bite out of it, he watched her expectantly, waiting for her to replicate his actions. Alex did the same thing he did and took a bite from the bland vegetable " Your actions aren't graceful enough," He said shaking his head at her in disapproval, it was like a parent scolding a child. She had enough! " Just f**k off already!" She toss off the cutleries and stormed away from the table in annoyance. This was a waste of her time. This wasn't who Alexandra was! She didn't waste her time learning table etiquette and she didn't dress up in ball gowns and wear fancy tiaras. So it was fine if she ended up in this world but it was nowhere in her comfort zone to do stuff she didn't want to! " Alexandra" She heard Albert calling out to her, she intended to ignore him but he had already caught up to her, he stood in front of her and she realized just how constricting the dress she wore was, she could have run if it wasn't for it " What do you want your highness!?" " You don't have to be angry, we can start from the basics if it would help you more" " You think this is about your stupid lessons?!" She snapped at him with annoyance " Then what else is it about?!" He snapped back with frustration " You've been acting weird so suddenly" " Oh I see" she snorted back a mocking laugh when the realization hit her " You must be sad that am not crawling after you anymore right?" " What? " His plump lips noticeably thinned as his frown grew more visible " Your mad that I've gotten over you!" She yelled snapping her fingers in front of his face as if to emphasize her words "You're insane," he said firmly. She could see a fire ignite in his eyes as he glowered at her. " You think I want you around me? Does my warning of earlier not register to you?" " good, good" Alex cheered " Then how about we avoid each other's path from now on, let's call a truce" she stretched out a hand to him. If she was going to live her life here in this world, she might as well eliminate any future complications. And as she was seeing it, Albert was probably the biggest obstacle in her way. " I do not have feelings for you. Not anymore" Albert glowered at her hand for several seconds, she was almost convinced he wouldn't even touch her but he held onto her small hand with his larger one " Neither do I, " He said firmly. They glared at each other for several seconds Albert was the first to pull his hand away and she watched him walk away toward his carriage. With a relieved sigh, she turned in the opposite direction and walked into her house " That was rather interesting " A voice called making Alex yelp in surprise. She had been too caught up in her thoughts to notice the figure leaning against a wall by the balcony. It was the elf prince she had crashed into earlier, he was staring at her with sparkling eyes and a warm smile. " Am sorry I startled you" " No, I...I wasn't paying attention " His eyes moved away from her to stare at the moving carriage that made its way toward the manor gates. Embarrassment burned in her at the thought that the prince had just witnessed what happened. It was the second time she was embarrassing herself in front of him today " My name is Loenell, you can refer to me as Loe " " Um... My name is Alexandra, Nice to meet you" She took his outstretched hand for a shake, and her blush only worsens when he turns her hand and planted a soft kiss on her knuckles. She felt like she did pop up at a scene of a fairytale shooting " Officially " he flashed her a smile and her face turned as red as a tomato. " If you don't mind me asking a personal question, what was that scene about?" Alexandra sighs looking down at her feet. She already suspected that he saw. " I..it's nothing too interesting really " " Wasn't that the prince of Fyn ?" " Hm" "You're betrothed? " " Yes" " I see" he hummed and Alex became curious as to what his reaction would be. He seemed calm and unaffected by the news, no sign of mock or humor evident on his face. " It is unfortunate. I am sorry" " Don't be " It wasn't like she had any feelings for Albert anyways, not like the former Alexandra would have. " Albert found someone he loves, I don't blame him for that" " But it breaks your heart?" " Eh.." It doesn't bother her really, but she is supposed to have been in love with this boy, though she didn't see anything good about him " I'll live" The young prince chuckled at her response, he had this air of cheerfulness around him that somehow reminded her of her mom. She couldn't help but give a smile, a sad one " Do not be discouraged Alexandra, am sure you would find someone that truly cherishes you" " I guess" She hoped not, for her sake, she didn't want any attachment to this world. No matter how real it looked, it wasn't her's. " I'll take my leave now" Alexandra said her goodbyes to the prince and made her way toward her chambers. She passed by Edwin in one of the corridors, the other only flashed her glance but didn't speak to her She guessed he was still mad at her from before. She might apologize sometime later
