" Alexandra "
She freezes in her steps. turning back, she faces her stern older brother. With how strict Edwin was to her, she kind of wished he was more like her over-doting father and second brother instead. Her wish had come back to bite her in the back
" Where are you going?"
" Well, I.." She had wanted to sneak up towards the guest quarters. Ever since Juliana mentioned an elf living in her house, she had been aching to get a glimpse of him, to see what a real-life elf looked like.
She had managed to control herself already and she had even picked a perfect time when she knew the Silva family would be up in their studies, who would have you would get caught like this
" I was going up to the library " She finally decided on a lame lie. She doesn't even know if there was a library in the manor but she would stick to that instead of standing speechless like an idiot
" The library is in the opposite direction " he raised a perfect silver brow at her " You know that"
" Of course " she sighed, it wasn't even worth feeling embarrassed anymore. She might as well just go with the truth " Juliana told me we had a guess over, I just thought I could just meet h.."
" State affairs aren't any of your concern" He stated to her firmly, authority dripping from his voice. " Go back to your chambers"
Alex felt her patience wear out. She didn't take orders from those who weren't her superiors, and definitely wouldn't them from a mean brother who wasn't even related to her
" No" She stated firmly. The other's eyes widened slightly at being defied before they narrowed down at her form
" No?"
" I don't know what your problem is! I only said I wanted to meet our guest, is that so horrible"
" It's not like you to defy me "
" Well, I guess there's a first time for everything Edwin" she drawled out his name to show him she wasn't going to take anything from him. Who would have known it would only make the man even angrier, his face turning quite scary that she was forced to take a step back
" Alexandra Silva, get back to your chambers this instant"
She had the urge to obey his command if only to get him to stop staring at her like that. But Alex had a stubborn nature to her, she wouldn't have survived in the military otherwise
She ignored Edwin and dashed towards the direction of the guest chamber. She could hear him yelling out her voice when he had gotten over his initial shock of having her run away
Alex found it difficult to run as fast as she wanted in a dress, but at least she wasn't wearing any shoes that would further complicate her task.
She took off through the hallways, passing by numerous servants that stared after her in shock. She didn't blame them. She must have made for a strange picture
As Alex looks back to see if Edwin was chasing after her, she didn't notice the blond figure earlier until she was colliding head-on with him.
She yelped as they toppled over to the ground. He wrapped a protective arm around her taking the impact and leaving his body as a pillow for her landing. When her head cleared up, she looks down into a pair of blue eyes, a young but very handsome face with long yellow hair that displayed like a curtain under him
" Your majesty " She heard someone say and only then did she notice the other two blond men staring at them. She hurried to her feet allowing the young man to do the same
He waved off the help from his men and instead turned to look at her in concern. " Are you alright Miss?.. Miss?"
Alex was too busy studying his form. He was incredibly handsome and almost on the edge of being feminine. His long yellow hair flowed behind him in waves, ending just below his waist. He appeared even younger than she was and was dressed in golden attires that matched the golden crown that laid held his hair in place
She didn't need anyone telling her that this was the prince of elves Juliana had told her about. But...no matter how hard she liked it, his ears were just like hers. She looked towards the two men behind him and they both had the normal pointy elf ears she saw on TV, but the prince...was he even an elf at all
He c****d his head in confusion noticing her stare. Alex's consciousness pointed to her ears and he chuckled in understanding. He shook his head in a negative at her and Alex wanted to ask how he didn't have them when her elder brother's voice echoed loudly causing her to flinch
" Alexandra! " Edwin appeared through the halls panting, his face was flushed, whether from anger or lack of air she wasn't sure
She take some steps away from the elven prince and turned to her brother. She expected him to yell at her or even scowled her, but he only sent her a minor glare and then turned back to apologize to the prince
" Am so sorry for my sister's intrusion your highness"
" It's alright" The young prince waved it off with a chuckle " No harm done"
" Since it's not a problem for you, how about I ask a personal question?" Alex spoke, only to receive a warning glare from Edwin. She motioned over to him that she would keep shut, but as soon as Edwin turned his gaze away from her, she said it out anyways
" Why don't you have pointy ears?"
" Alexandra!"
" Fine. Am leaving" she had the urge to flip the bird at Edwin but only stuck to sticking out her tongue at him. She turned and made her way back to her quarters and out of their sight in contentment. She was satisfied that she had seen what she wanted despite all odds
When the girl disappeared, the elf prince turned towards the oldest Silva child, amusement written on his face.
" You could have told her I am only half born. It would satiate her burning curiosity"
" You don't owe her any explanation your highness. Alexandra is only being childish. Let me lead you to your quarters "
" of course " The prince nodded as the Silva heir walked beside him towards the large chambers. " But you do have a lovable sister"
Edwin smiled at the elf, pride glinting in his eyes " I certainly do" he said frowning only slightly " But she's more stubborn than I remembered"
" That I can see" The prince hummed in approval. He had never seen a lady act the way that one did. Neither elf nor human, it was somewhat cute.

As Alex returned to her chambers, she was met with Emilia's figure holding out a golden dress to her expectantly
" It's fine Emilia," She said with a roll of her eyes, a habit the old woman scolded her constantly. For some reason, Emilia didn't seem to notice today. " I'll get ready later"
" Am afraid you'll have to get ready now lady Alexandra. A visitor awaits you"
Alex turns back to stare at the beaming old woman in confusion. " What visitor?"
" The prince has come to visit you"
" What?!"
