Chapter 1

—Kira's POV—

I am currently doing my makeup for tonight because i am gonna be meeting my forced arranged future-husband for the first time in a few hours, and i am super unexcited because i don't want to get married, i just want to continue working on my company and having my freedom and independence.

Well, you're probably confused right now and not knowing what is going on and why i am in an arranged marriage, so let's go back to this morning.

FLASHBACK!!!!!!!

I woke up today feeling very energetic and joyful because it was my company's 4th anniversary.

I took a shower, wore my clothes, did my skin care routine, did my makeup, and then headed to the company so i can celebrate with all of my hard workers and staff.

Before leaving, my parents and brothers congratulated me and we had a family hug.

"Happy 4th KEI anniversary boss" that's all i heard on my way from the entrance of my company to my office.

I thanked all of my workers and as soon as i entered my office... "Happy 4th KEI anniversary, Mrs.Ivanov, i am really glad to be working for you"

Jackson is one of the only few people that I trust.]]

"Thanks, J" i thanked him as i sat on my extra comfy office chair.

"Oh, and the cake that you ordered for the celebration will be here at 3:30, i wanted to remind you because i know how much you always forget" he added before leaving my office and went to his own.

"This guy really knows me" i mumbled before i started working on my computer.

A FEW HOURS LATER (STILL FLASHBACK)

We just finished celebrating the company 4th anniversary and it is already time for me to head back home.

When i arrived home it, i saw mom and dad sitting in the living room and it looked like as if they were waiting for me.

" Is everything okay, папа?"

Translation: папа means papa (in Russian).

"Your mother and i have something important to talk to you about" papa said in a serious yet sweet tone.

"Come sit, моя дочь" mom said as she pointed her finger at the couch in front of them.

Translation: моя дочь means my daughter in Russian.

"What is it?" I asked in a nervous tone because they both looked too serious.

"Do you remember what i told you about my old best friend Alfonzo Messina?" Dad asked me as he sighed.

"Yeah, he was the leader of the Messina Empire before he passed his position to his son" i replied with a questioning and confused tone because i am still not understanding what they are trying to get me to understand.

"When you were little, you and his son Damon Messina, you used to be best friends, but you don't remember him because you were 10 years old the last time you met him." Dad said as i kept looking at him with a confused face.

"Well, what i am trying to tell you is that you and Damon are getting married" as son as папа said that, i lost my mind.

"WHAT?????" I said as i got up from the couch.

"You promised папа, you've always told me since i was 15 years old that you'll never force me into an arranged marriage" i said in a very angry tone while i was pacing in the living room.

"I'm really sorry, принцесса, i know I promised but you have to marry him for us, and trust me hen i say that there are a lot of things and secrets that are hidden from you two and which you will discover together after you get to know each other and grow a bond." папа said in a pleading tone and a 'i am really sorry' face.

Translation: принцесса means princess in Russian.

I didn't reply to what my dad said, and i ran to Sin's room crying.

I knocked on the door 2 times and i barged into his room before he can even say come in.

I went inside his room with my head low lookin at the floor, while opening my arms for him to hug me like i always do when i am sad.

Sin immediately left. His laptop which he was using and ran towards me and hugged me really tightly.

"шмель?" Sin said in a sweet tone while taking me to his bed so we can cuddle.

Translation: шмель means bumblebee in Russian.

"шмель?" Sin said Again,a Nd i just hummed in response.

"Why are you crying? Who hurt you?" He asked in the sweetest tone ever.

"п-пaпa is forcing me to m-marry D-D-Damon M-Messina" I said stuttering while sobbing really hard.

"He what???" Sin asked in the scariest tone that will send shivers Dow your spine.

"Sin, p-please c-calm down for m-me" i pleaded.

"He can't do this to you Kira, he promised you since you were 15 that he'll never force you into an arranged marriage, why is he doing this now?!?!?!?!"

"I know that he promised and i am as angry and as hurt as you but you know that we can't do anything to change his mind" i said as i was now calming Sin down instead of him calming me.

"I know, but i am gonna try and change his mind even though it won't make a difference" Sin said as he kissed my forehead and continued cuddling me with so much care and love.

Why did Kira's father choose Damon Messina, the Italian mafia leader as his only daughter's husband when he can choose any other man?

What did Kira's father mean when he said that there is a lot of secrets that are hidden from Kira and Damon?

Why did Kira's father lie to her and break the promise that he has made 6 years ago?

Why was Sin angrier than Kira even though she is the one who's forced? Does he know something that she doesn't?
