The Empty House

Part 7

Jett who was wiping his car before going to the office was surprised because he suddenly saw his wife leaving the house quickly without looking at him or ask him for permission to go out.

“ Yolanda!!! ”

“ Yolanda, where are you going? ” Jett called as his eyes kept stare at his wife who kept walking. In fact, what he called was not Yolanda but an ethereal being who incarnated as Yolanda, his real wife was in the kitchen but because she heard Jett calling her name she just went straight to Jett.

“ What's up, darling? ” Yolanda asked. Jett was of course surprised and puzzled to see his wife behind him, then he looked again towards the fence that his "wife" was approaching and looked at Yolanda who was behind him.

“ Jett, what's wrong with you? why you calling me for? ” Yolanda asked.

Jett, who does not believe in the existence of ghosts, of course denies what he saw just now, according to him he may have seen the wrong thing because his eyes still feel sleepy because he didn't sleep enough last night, Jett tried to think positively and he didn't want it to affect his mind when he thought about it too much.

“ Uh no, nothing.” Jett said, denying.

“ Oh, are you going to the office after this? ” Yolanda asked.

“ Yeah ” Jett answered a word.

“ Oh then I went inside first, I want to see what Courtney is doing in her room. ” Yolanda said but this time only to be answered with a nod by Jett. Yolanda went back into the house.

After breakfast, Grace invited her sister, Courtney to ride a bicycle with Eadred around the village not far from where they live. Arriving at a road Grace suddenly stopped riding the bike, as did Courtney and Eadred. Grace, Courtney and Eadred felt a bit confused and Grace felt familiar with the place. Actually the place they stopped now was an old cemetery, it was exactly like in Grace's dream.

“ Sis, why did we stop here? ” Grace asked.

“ Yes Grace, why? ” Eadred asked the same question, he was also puzzled and confused just like Courtney who saw Grace suddenly stopped riding the bike.

“ I've seen this place! ” Grace said as she entered the old cemetery, Eadred followed Grace holding Courtney's hand.

“ Have you ever been here? ” Eadred asked again.

“ Never, this is my first time going to this place. I saw it in a dream. ” Grace said as she walked around the graves. Suddenly Grace's eyes focused on a tombstone marked with the name and date of death, the grave was the same as the one in Grace's dream.

“ This tombstone is the same as the one in my dream. ” Grace said as she tried to remember her dream.

“ Yes, it's the same, this is the grave!! ” Grace said, confirming her dream was indeed real.

“ Sis, let's go home! I'm afraid, this place is looks like very scary. ” Courtney said she was starting to goosebumps looking around the graves, as did Grace and Eadred who felt the same. Suddenly Grace saw the same red-eyed woman as in her dream, the ghost seemed to want to disturb them.

“ Courtney, Eadred run fast!! ” Grace said as she took a thousand steps followed by Courtney and Eadred. They ran away from the place.

Meanwhile inside Jett's house, Yolanda was seen walking around the house. Right now she was in the house alone because Jett had long gone to the office, Yolanda was looking for Alfred and Annabelle who went nowhere.

“ Dad?! Annabelle?! ”

“ Dad?! Annabelle?! Where are you guys? ” Yolanda called but no one answered. Then Yolanda went to the kitchen and took a cup of coffee and tasted it. Yolanda also boiled three eggs on the stove, suddenly Yolanda heard the sound of phonograph music playing in the living room. Without thinking long, Yolanda immediately went to the living room and turned off the music as Yolanda started to leave, the phonograph suddenly started playing again. Yolanda had to turn off the music of the phonograph for the second time and when she turned around again suddenly a ghost dressed as a maid appeared and slapped Yolanda in the face until causing Yolanda fainted. Meanwhile the boiled eggs on the stove bubbled and almost caused the house to be filled with thick smoke, the pot with the boiled egg in it also flew somewhere as if being carried away by an invisible creature. A few minutes later Grace, Courtney, Alfred and Eadred came home and they were shocked to see Yolanda lying on the floor with the house smoking and almost on fire.

“ Mom!!! ” Grace and Courtney immediately went to get their mother, followed by Alfred.

“ Yolanda!! ” Alfred called out Yolanda's name while patting the woman's cheek, meanwhile Eadred went to the kitchen to close the stove and put out the small fire that broke out in the kitchen. The guy took a small bucket and went into the bathroom in the kitchen and poured water into the small bucket, after it was full he turned off the faucet and returned to the kitchen and sprinkled the water on the burning place, the fire was extinguished.

While, Yolanda still hasn't woken up from fainting, Alfred, Grace and Courtney are still trying to wake Yolanda up. Alfred patted Yolanda's cheek, Courtney shook Yolanda's shoulder so she would wake up quickly and while Grace was calling Yolanda. Eadred approached Grace, Courtney and Alfred after he finished putting out the small fire, few minutes later Yolanda started to wake up.

“ Dad, Grace, Courtney!! ” Yolanda hugged her father and her two daughters.

In the yard of Jett's house, Courtney was seen playing with balloons alone while singing children's songs, while she was engrossed in playing suddenly a ghost appeared in front of her eyes floating like his body up and his head down and looking into Courtney's eyes with a sharp look. Courtney was of course very shocked and scared. Meanwhile inside the house, Yolanda, Grace, Alfred and Eadred were gathering in the living room, they were visited by a female shaman who was invited by Eadred to the house to drive away the evil spirits in the house. They just saw the shaman's actions who was reciting spells with the incense smoke billowing around the living room.

“ Eadred, where did you find this shaman? ” Yolanda asked, she felt strange looking at this shaman's behavior.
