Chapter 7
NOAH POV
Noah stood in front of the window, He stood staring out of space. Not until he heard some sounds downstairs! he wasn't catching a real glimpse of what he wanted to watch. He couldn't help himself but shove the beautiful curtain with pitches of flowers on them so he could see the full scenario. He stretched out his neck until he could catch a glimpse of the guard he had sent to get Jane for him.
He got angry at what shocked him next. The guard pointed his gun at Jane. Who gave him such an order? Who told him to do that? Was all he could think. His heart skipped at what his eyes saw. He felt the range to explode at that moment. Noah, himself couldn't find the best description of why his heart kept beating at such a high rate. Taking another glance through the window.
He noticed the guard had refused to drop his gun, as Jane trembled at his threat towards her. Marcus who had finished making his call, Dropped the phone! He looked up and noticed his friend was full of rage and anger. ”Are you okay?” Marcus asked. Bringing his cousin back to the world.
“Nothing seems wrong with me, right?” Noah answered. Not minding his replies. ”It seems you are not in a good mood presently so I might head-on.” Noah only noded, as Marcus took his leave.
Noah immediately took his phone to place a call. He left the office afterward. He utilized another direction to avoid clashing with the guard and Jane.
*******
Noah waited for the guard outside. He had instructed another guard to call the guard he had ordered to bring Jane to him. He had given an order that Jane wait for him in the office. Noah waited patiently for him. He couldn't wait to unleash his anger out. Immediately the guard approached him, he sent blows to the guard. Who trembled on the floor as he spits out blood from his mouth.
He seemed confused about what was going on. He was about to stand up, as Noah held him by his collars, Noah's eyes were bloodshot with anger. He gave him another blow on the face, as the guard stumbled for balance! He moved closer to him. Noah brought out a gun and pointed it directly at the guard. Which made the guard tremble in fear. ”Don't you ever take orders by yourself or rather make a rash decision, It pisses me off! You better don't take decisions by yourself.” he screamed at the guard. ”Only if you have a death wish.” Noah said before putting back the gun in his back pocket.
The guard now understood why Noah was mad at him but couldn't contemplate why he was all angry because of a mare girl that was going to be sold. Noah left feeling pleased, he felt his heart meltdown from anger. He had never felt happy at what he had done before, as he felt now. He sharply went to the restroom.
He let the tap flow out as clean water kept running out. He washed his hand with soap and took some clean tissue to wipe his hands. He looked at the mirror and back at his swollen knuckles, He felt pain from the blow he gave the guard. He was confused at what he had just done. He was doing crazy things he had no idea of. This girl was making him do crazy things. He taught as he exits the restroom.
He opened the door of the office. He entered without Jane noticing he was in. He stood by the door side, watching her feel the picture portrait on the wall. She walking barefoot in the office was something he was amazed about. He looked at her shoe, it was worn out with plenty of holes. He didn't want to stare anymore and he didn't want to startle her.
So he decided only to make a simple sentence. ”Don't touch anything?” But he was surprised that she still felt startled. she was trying to remove her hand as Marcus, most cherished portrait drops to the floor. I wanted to scream at her but had no words coming out. She bent down and kept apologizing. I stared, looking at what she was going to do. I wanted to see if she could bring back the broken portrait.
But she always bothered me, she had cut her hand. I ordered her to stand up so I could see her hand. But she hid them at the back of her dress. I noticed for the first time, she looked so dirty and messy. so I understood why she protected her hands from me. ”It fine, can I see?” I asked. She stretched them eventually. Her nails were beautiful if they were kept so well, but it was the opposite.
It was filled with so many wounds and cuts, I couldn't even detect the one which was the present cut. I directed her to an empty chair, while I brought out the first aid. She stood patiently while I searched for the first aid treatment. I eventually found it, as I strode to where she sat. I bent down as I took her hands into mine. They felt hard and rough. ”It would hurt a little.” I said looking directly at her eyes. They looked sad and unhappy.
I could feel her big eyes on me as I apply the substance. ”What your name?” I asked but she kept shut. When I was done wrapping the hand neatly, I made it clear she shouldn't stress them. she stood up thanking me. ”I haven't asked you to stand.” I said staring at her. She took back her seat, I could see her pinch her hands so hard that they turned red.
”I hope you don't injure your hands cause I have no more spirit.” I made it clear. ”You haven't answered my question?” I said. ”What question?” She asked innocently. ”What your name?” I asked again. ”Jane Brown sir.” she answered. ”Miss Jane Brown we could strike a good deal of me helping you. You won't be sold tomorrow if only you answer my question honestly.” Noah was sure from her expression she was happy.
He felt satisfied. He pushed his head to her head, so she could capture his face vividly. ”Why did you have to slap me at the stream,” Noah knew she had to remember. And just as he thought, she did, she was about to go on her kneel but he was fast to understand! As he quickly stopped her.
She kept apologizing. But he wanted no apology. He only wanted to keep her near and close, he didn't know why. ”Only on one condition.” I murmured. ”What condition sir?” she asked.
”Be my slave.”
