Chapter 6 JANE POV I kept obeying the guard, Until then. we eventually halted in a huge, beautiful, and magnificent building. I had never seen such a structure before. Perhaps throughout my stay in the camp. The guard walked into the building While I stood outside the building Not wishing to stain the surroundings which were maintained neat and tidy. The guard came out of the building. ”What do you think you are doing standing there?” He inquired. ”Nothing.” I said not wanting to piss him off. He came forward to where I stood and pointed his gun to my skull. ”Move young lady,” he ordered. ”Do you wish to get your head blown to piece right now?” He asked. ”No, no! no.” I begged. I felt really scared and frightened. My heart kept thumping and ticking like a wall clock. My legs felt heavy to carry and so weak to walk. We finally reached a giant door, it looked like it was made from aluminum. It was sure beautiful. It looked different and better than ours from the dormitory, which was made from zinc. I stood behind the guard, I was so scared and weak that I might suffer being sick and blackout. I hoped I could be unconscious and never wake up again. ”Get inside,” he ordered. ”I would be back soon!” he said before living. I tried to twist the doorknob but I guess I didn't know how the door was unlocked. I felt ashamed of myself, I decided to knock on the entrance but got no response! I noticed a control over the door. I pressed it and the door obediently swung open. I stepped inside. peeping to see if somebody was in. I walked into the beautiful, decorated office. ”Hello, hello! Anybody in?” But got no answer. I removed my warn out shoe, which looked dirty and sandy. I didn't want to be shot dead for stains made in a neat and tidy office. I kept contemplating why I stood in such a neat office. What if I committed a crime? Maybe, someone had found out how I was going to escape the camp And had reported me. The thought of what might happen if they found out about my escape was terrifying. I tried picturing a picture of my throat being hanged and almost pee on my pant. I trembled In fear as I tried to touch my neck. I moved around the office with my barefoot. I tried to catch a glimpse of the items in the office. The neatly arranged books on the shelf. I couldn't go close to the books because it was a waste of my invaluable time. I didn't know how to read much! But a frame caught my attention. I used my hands to feel the beautiful masterpiece of a gorgeous pregnant mother, she looked so stunning smiling. I couldn't deny the truth that it made me smile. ”Don't touch anything,” A voice came. I startled out of fear. Before I could catch a glimpse of who was talking. The frame had already hit the floor and shattered to pieces. My eyes went wide and large. What have I done, I was in a big mess now, I knelt in front of the broken frame trying to tidy up the mess I have made. ”I am so, so sorry.” I apologize as I kept trying to clean it up. ”Auch," I had cut my hand. But I still cared less as I kept picking the pieces from the frame. He came closer stretching his hand for me to get up. ”Stand up,” he commanded. I stood up not taking his hand. ”I’m Noah, what's yours?” He asked. ”I am so sorry sir,” I said trying to beg and apologize. ”It wasn't my goal and purpose to shatter that beautiful portrait, I promise to work 10 times harder, to pay for my damage.” I continued to apologize. I kept asking for forgiveness, but he surprised me by asking. ”Can I see your hand?” I glanced at my hand, I had overlooked the cut from the frame. I wanted stretching them so he could see, but they looked dirty and unkempt. ”It fine!” he said. ”Can I see them?” he asked again. ”Follow Me,” he instructed. ”Seat!” he pointed to the empty chair. I cleaned the back of my clothing, before seating. He came back with some items, ”I am going to apply some liquid substance on your injury. Thou, it gonna hurt a little bit.” he said making me nod. I kept staring lustfully as he applied the substance. He wrapped the injury well, Before instructing me to be careful. ”Thank you very much,” I said standing up. ”I haven't asked you to stand,” he inquired. ”I’m sorry!” I said taken my seat again. ”You haven't answered my question?” he said. ”I am sorry sir, what question sir?” I inquired. ”I asked what your name was,” he said relaxing on the chair close to mine. I pinched my hands with my long fingers, Feeling nervous and scared. He looked at my hands before staring at me. ”You might injure yourself. And I have no more spirit to apply on your wound,” He said staring into my eyes. I lowered my gaze on my lap. ”My name is Jane Brown,” I told. ”I could help you stay in camp if we strike a good deal miss Jane Brown,” he mumbled. No one has called me in such a way and manner before. I felt thankful and happy, That someone was going to help me. ”Anything within my power I promise to comply,” I said in a pleading eye. He stood up and placed his forehead close to mine, I could feel his minty breath on my mouth. ”Why don't you tell me why you slapped me at the stream?” He uttered. Jane closed her mouth in shock, recalling the encounter With the guy, she slapped at the stream. She didn't regret slapping that guy the other day but she entirely regrets it now. She stood up to kneel but he was faster to understand what she was trying to do. ”I haven't told you to stand, are you going to go against me?” he asked. ”N..ooo,” Jane stammered. ”Please forgive me, I was so naive that day.” she pleaded. ”Only on one condition?” Noah said grinning. ”What sir.” she solicited. ”Be my personal........”
