Pacing around my office was currently the only thing I could do, and to be frank my nervous movements might have made a holes in my carpet.
How was that even possible?! We were well prepared. Everyone was in place. My trackers started the chase as soon as the shooting started, but the damn sniper failed with the one job he was supposed to do. He missed the second target and they slipped.
That was absolutely my fault. I should have been more cautious. I should have been prepared better. But I must admit that my self confidence took the best of me. It was actually the rookie mistake to not prepare a plan B. I should have manned the fastest people in the woods and secure the exit roads from the territories.
