It was the break of dawn.
Daniel was so surprised about what his brother told last night that he could not sleep and at the same time was annoyed at his brother for keeping such a big issue from him.
"I'm off to school mum" Daniel said wearing his shoes.
"Aren't you eating breakfast? His mother ask him
"I will eat at school" he said and go out of the house.
On his way to college, all that was on his mind is how to help his brother out of the mess he is.
In Daniel's class.
"Mr Adams", Daniel's lecturer, Mr Robert called out to him breaking him from his thought, he couldn't concentrate in class at all.
"Yes sir", Daniel answered quickly standing up from his chair.
"You are not paying attention, what's your problem" Mr Robert shouted angrily at him.
"Hmmm....I was paying attention sir" Daniel answered him stammering.
"Oh, you were really paying attention" Mr Robert said eyeing him "What was the last thing i said few minutes back" He asked.
Daniel was so confused, he couldn't make out what Mr Robert said at all in the class, how would he know what he said last, he looked around the class seeing how most of his course mates is staring at him and some even laughing.
"Mr Adams,please answer my question" Mr Robert said getting more angry.
Daniel was just staring at the wall praying he got saved from the awkward situation because getting Mr Robert angry is the same as repeating another year in college.
Just then a beautiful girl bashed into the class making everyone including Mr Robert divert their eyes from Daniel to the door.
"Hi Mr Robert" The girl shouted "My mum would like to see you sir" She continue.
"Okay" Mr Robert replied "See you all next class" he said and went out of the class.
Daniel signed as he was relieved and glance at the girl and smile, The girl smiled back and sit beside him.
"Candy what was that?" Daniel asked the girl whose name was Candy Alexander.
Candy Alexander has been his close friend since his second year at Arizona State University, She was one of the rich kids in their college and her parents are partly the shareholders of the school as they are very wealthy but Unlike the other rich kids, Candy was a beautiful and humble girl and was not a spoilt brat, Daniel couldn't believe he could be friends with her but as fate would have it they become friends after being in the same group for a project and ever since they become friend, the bullies of college could not touch him as he is friend with the PRINCESS OF CAMPUS
"What was what?" Candy replied Daniel as she roll her eyes.
"I thought you said your mum is in Paris, right" Daniel asked.
"She was, I just used that as an excuse to save your god damn ass from his wrath" Candy replied.
"Alright thanks for saving my god damn ass" Daniel said laughing.
"My pleasure, But why did you lose concentration in class, it's unlike you" Candy asked.
"Nothing" Daniel replied.
"Adams, I'm your friend so feel free to share anything with me, I might be of help you know" Candy said.
"It's really nothing" Daniel answered and stand up.
"Just tell me already" Candy said pulling him back on his seat.
"Okay then, It's about my brother,Chris" Daniel said.
"What about him" Candy asked.
"Okay, before I tell you promise me no one will know about it" Daniel said.
"I promise" Candy said crossing her both hands on her chest.
"Okay, Chris witness how his friend was brutally murdered accidentally when he was recording everywhere in his school for some damn project and he was caught when he shouted because he was shocked, now those people are after his life because they want the camera he used for the video as it contains information that can be use to expose them so he wouldn't expose them" Daniel explained.
"Holy s**t, that is terrible, so what are you going to do now" Candy asked in a worried tone.
"I don't know" Daniel replied
"Okay where is Chris now" Candy asked.
"At home, I told him not to go anywhere" Daniel replied.
"That's very dangerous, those people can locate him" Candy said standing up "Let's go."
"Where to" Daniel ask.
"Dumb ass, your house of course, I brought my car so let's go now" Candy said pulling him up.
They both went out out of the class and drove to Daniel's house.
The drive to Daniel's house was not long, it was just fifty minutes drive, due to the neighborhood Daniel is living in, Candy had to find a good parking space.
"Chris!" Daniel shouted running inside followed by Candy.
But it was Tammy who came out of kitchen with water dripping from her hand.
"Where's Chris" Daniel asked Tammy.
"I don't know, I'm just arriving now, did he not go to college today again" Tammy asked looking at Candy "And who is this beautiful lady" Tammy asked pointing at Candy.
"I'm Candy" Candy replied.
"Tammy" Tammy replied "Check him in his room, I'm going up to change" Tammy said and go towards her room.
Chris went towards his room knocking twice.
"Chris are you in" Daniel said knocking at his brother's door but no reply "It is Daniel" Daniel shouted turning the knob of the door only to find it locked.
"Are you sure he's in there" Candy asked.
"Yes I'm sure" Daniel replied.
"Any spare key for his room?" Candy asked looking at Daniel.
"Oh that's right, there's one for every room" Daniel rushed over to the kitchen and bring out the spare key.
He opened the door and to their surprise, there is not Chris in the room and his room was scattered.
"f*****g s**t!" Candy exclaimed.
Daniel rushed back out and call Tammy.
"Is he in his room" Tammy asked.
"No he's not" Candy replied.
"Maybe he went to college" Tammy said sitting on the couch.
"I will try his number" Daniel said bringing out his phone from his pocket.
"Please where's your bathroom, I need to pee" Candy asked putting her bag on the couch.
"Over there" Tammy replied pointing to the bathroom.
As soon as Candy entered the bathroom, her scream was heard, both Daniel and Tammy rushed to the bathroom only to find Candy trembling on the floor pointing at the bath tub in the bathroom, Daniel and Tammy glance towards where she's pointing at only to see Chris in the bath tub with knife stabbed on his chest as he lies in his own blood.
