Celine POV   Next day, I came to my clinic and got surprised with all the flowers and balloons inside. Who’s in their right mind who will spend that much for all these flowers and balloons? It looks good, don’t get me wrong but it is too much. I walk closer and saw the card placed together with the flowers, I’ll know who send these all.   Celine, I hope you have a great day ahead. Can I formally ask you to have a dinner with me tomorrow? I can pick you up at 6pm. I’ll call you, my mom got your number from your mom.   See you, Marcus   Upon reading the note, I got so nervous and I don’t know what to do. Blake might freak out when he knew about this invitation from Marcus but I can’t be mean and turn it down. Because mom will surely ask me about it if I refuse to go on a dinner. I will just tell Marcus that it will be the first and the last dinner that I can accept from him. I’ll tell him that I’m dating someone and that I just can’t tell it to my family yet. I hope he will understand it or else I don’t know how Blake will react on this.   My whole day went well and smooth but still I’m worried how to tell Blake about the dinner that I will be needing to attend tomorrow night. I check the time at my watch, any time soon he will be here and will pick me up. I need to think of a good explanations for him not to get mad and freak. As for the flowers and balloons, I manage to use it as a gift to every kids who visits me for check-up today. And I love it how they feel good when I gave them each and the others I gave to others who’s still confined here at the hospital. I can’t take it all at home because for sure Blake will not hesitate to throw it all so instead, I better use it and make others smile with it.   After half an hour, I received a message from Blake that he’s already at the parking lot. I gathered all my things and leave my clinic and head to parking. Before I leave the hospital I instructed the nurses and guard to get the other flowers and balloons that I left inside my clinic because I can’t take it all home and so they thanked and wave at me goodbye.   Once I stepped out of the hospital, I saw Blake leaning at the door of his car looking at my way with a serious look on his face. He must be on a bad mood or something, it’ll be much harder to open about the dinner tomorrow if he’s in bad mood.   “Hello.” I said once I’m a meter close within his reach.   “Hi.” He replied and then assist me on the front passenger seat and open the door for me.   I waited for him to come inside the car but he stayed a while outside. Looking at the window, I saw him on his phone attending a call. It must be something important related about his work seems something wrong with him that I can easily observe. I just waited for him to finish his call and think of a way how to tell him about the dinner.   “Sorry, I’m quite late to pick you up today. There’s something wrong with the company.” He informed once he’s inside the car.   “It’s alright I’d do rounds too, that doesn’t make me wait for you that long.” I assure him with a smile.   He give me a sad side smile and just continue his driving. Once in a while I’m checking him and looking at his way. He’s so quiet that making me worry more, only the sound of music in the radio is the only thing that we can hear inside. I couldn’t start a topic for conversation too because I didn’t want him to get more annoyed. I just let him with his mood today and just waited for us to reach my place.   While having dinner he’s still silent, it’s making it hard for me to open about the invitation because I don’t want to add up in whatever he’s going through right now. We finished dinner without a single word for each other, he just help me clean the table and then he headed straight at our shared room.   “What’s wrong?” I asked once we’re both laying side by side.   “Just tired, a lot of pending works to do in the office.” He said while he pull to hug me.   “I told you I don’t need to be pick at work every day. You can just finish your pending works and when it’s all done you can come home.” I explain to him. “Will that be okay for you?” He asked gauging and assuring.   “Of course, you can just pick me whenever you’re not that loaded with work.” I said to assure him that I’ll be fine.   The next day, he dropped me at the hospital and head to his office. I still didn’t inform him about the dinner, maybe I’ll just open about it later. Day went by and soon it’s already 5pm, I tried to call him but his phone can’t be reach so I just message him that I will have dinner with Marcus and then told him not to freak out about it and I will handle it well.   Exactly 6pm Marcus came and pick me at the hospital. He’s a real gentleman from the moment he pick me until the time we reach the restaurant and start eating. We just shared things about our work and life, he’s not boring and unlike other guys he’s not making me get impress by him. It’s just like talking to an old friend you haven’t seen for a long time. Rest of the night went well, we’ve talked about a lot of things but I still need to tell him one thing.   “Marcus can I be honest with you? You’re nice and a perfect gentleman but I can only offer friendship and that’s all.” I said apologizing, I don’t want him to expect something from me.   “It’s okay, I’ll understand.” Said smilingly.   “You’re nice, it’s just that I’m with someone that my family didn’t know yet. I just don’t want you to expect.” I explain.   “Actually, I have something to tell you too. I have a girlfriend but my family couldn’t accept her because for them she’s a commoner.” He stated.   “Ohh, I’m sorry to hear that.” I said feeling said for them.   “It’s alright, actually I told her about our dinner and I assured her that I will open this to you. You see I don’t want to use you Celine, it’s just that I’m being pressured with my mom too. Especially now that they will turn over the company to me, they want me to have a girl by my side to show everyone that I’m on the path where I’m planning for my future, building my own family.” He explained.   “Then all good for us, we can remain as friends.” I said with a beaming smile.   We talked for a while more about his plan with his girlfriend and after two hours we decided to go home. I really forgot the time it’s already nine in the evening when I checked me watch. I fished out my phone and saw that it’s drained. Rest of the night is good after half an hour we reached my apartment. He bid goodbye and I thank him and went inside the door only to be greeted by fuming Blake.   “And who’s that guy you’re dating now?” He asked while sitting on the sofa with a glass of whiskey on his hand.
