"Beep" I heard a warning sound coming from the restricted area. I got up from the seat, alarmed! "someone trespassed the restricted area" I muttered beneath my breath, wondering who has the guts to step into the restricted area. "My Lord" Aragon walked to me and lowered his head. I glared at him, requesting an explanation. "My Lord, the lady and her servants walked into the Moth cave, and now she is missing" Aragon affirmed. I stared at him bewildered. "What! This is bad." The Moth cave is known for its dangerous trap formation, how did they go in? I strode to Aragon and inquired what the situation at the cave was, "I have sent guards to secure the Moth cave, the two servants are safe but the Lady fell into the deep hole" I widened my eyes in shock, gather more men and bring them to the Moth cave, I can't let this happen, I vanished and immediately appeared inside the Moth cave, I walked to a pillar and pressed the formation, the door unlocked, I jumped into the hole "jump in!" I ordered and took a stride to the exit that leads to the human world. I hope that this won't be what I'm thinking, I thought walking closer to the exit, "where are you? Demeter" I asked, but there was no response, I hastened my pace, I stopped suddenly as I saw a familiar figure attempting to jump down the exit, "Hey, stop!" I uttered and tried to stop her, but it was already late. She had disappeared, I groaned and hurriedly moved to the exit and saw Demeter crawling trying to reach the seashore, "Is this how much she wants to leave? She really made up her mind to leave" I clenched my fist and decided to let her be, "no! I can't do that, I've waited for so many years for this, I can't let it go down the drain." I jumped down the exit and saw that she was already reaching the shore, "this is bad!" I muttered, she gazed back at me and widened her eyes with fear and pain written in her eyes, she swallowed hard and increased her pace, trying hard to escape, "I won't let you succeed" I smirked and roll my head, "bang" I appeared in front of her and squatted staring at her pale face. She must be in a lot of pain, I raised her jaw gazing deep into troubled eyes.
"You're quite stubborn, you know? You can't even wait for my release, you try to escape, is that how you spite me?" I inquired with bitterness in my heart. I can never believe that she would try to escape, I thought that she was understanding my plans and that she was willing to stay. "Sigh" This is all my wishful thought, I was deceived by her innocence, all this was her plan just to escape, I was ignorant and blind that I almost lost you. She moved her face away from me, I stared at her face which was burning up in a rage, "you look cute when you're are pissed" I carried her off the ground and quickly appeared in her chambers, I placed her on the bed and inspected her injury, my face darkened, "send the imperial doctor" I ordered, almost screaming to the guard outside. "I won't allow anything to happen to you, you will be fine" I uttered. Soon the imperial doctor arrived and asked us to leave, I refused and insisted on staying to find out her condition, the imperial doctor and Aragon insisted that I should leave, so they would be able to treat her, I groaned and strode out of her chambers and continued walking till I reach my study room.
"My Lord, everything will be fine. ''Aragon said, trying to cool me off. It's of no use to try and soothe me. I'm losing it already, if anything happens to Demeter I won't be able to stay alive, I'll vanquish myself from the world. "This is all my fault, I didn't look after her that's why she is lying there lifeless," I said and yanked away from all the things on my table, "calm down my King, don't overthink it. This has nothing to do with you, you tried your best to keep her safe but she decided to hurt herself by trying to escape through the Moth cave" Aragon let out. I groaned as my eyes darkened, I landed him a slap on his cheek, "shut up" I ordered.
"My Lord, stop torturing yourself.."
"Scram!" I asserted, he sighed heavily, bowed, and left, "argh!!" I slammed my fist on the wall and groaned. "No, I can't be like this, I have to be strong for Demeter. She would need me when she recovers. I sat down on the seat, tapping my feet on the floor impatiently, "what is holding the imperial doctor from contacting me, did something happen with Demeter" I stood up from the seat feeling depressed, "my king, the imperial doctor is here to see you"
"Let him in!" I hurriedly said, and sat back on the seat, "tell me, how is she?" I asked swallowing hard. I already knew she was deeply hurt but I was just hoping for a tiny chance of survival that I'd grasp. If she had recovered all her powers this won't be this bad, but she is a mortal that can't bear much pain, I just wish that everything will be fine, that she will be saved and I promise not to leave her sight. "My Lord, you didn't say a word"
"What did you say?" I asked as I didn't hear what he said. "The lady sustains many injuries, she needs a blood transfusion to continue the treatment" I smiled, knowing that there is still hope, "fine! I'll give her my blood. Come on, take my blood and save her" I brought out my hand and waved it in front of the imperial doctor, he looked at my hand awkwardly and shook his head, "it's not done like that, I have to check if your blood merges with her blood type, please follow me to the infirmary" I nodded without speaking much, I followed him out and strode to the infirmary where he tested my blood.
"Sigh!' the imperial doctor went through the report and sigh loudly, "what's the matter?'
"I'm afraid! The report here said that your blood didn't match." I widened my eyes, "why? Why? We finally found a way to save her, why can't my blood save her? I'm a God I can save whomever I want" I ordered snatching the report from him, I ripped it off and grimaced.
