"Calm down my King. That's not how to do it, you have to find someone that has the same blood type as my lady. Although her blood is rare, rest assured that we will try our best to find her match." The imperial doctor assured me, I heaved a sigh of relief, finding a tiny bit of hope is great after all there is still a chance of her survival, I would do everything in my reach to save her, no matter what it cost.
"Fine! I'll trust you. Report to me when you find the match" he nodded and left the room, I couldn't keep my calm because I have waited for her return, anticipating when to be with her, now she is here I will deal with anyone that tries to hurt her, I huffed as I remembered that she went to the cave with her servant's. "Useless!" I asserted and rang the bell in my office. Aragon arrived shortly with a swollen face, but that isn't why I called him here. He will be able to take care of himself. I don't care how he does it, "where are the servants that went to the cave with Demeter?" I inquired after he bowed his head, he looked astonished ruffling his hair. I slammed my table impatiently staring right in his eyes, he shuddered and stepped back "I..I.." I hurriedly appeared in front of him and gripped his jaw, squeezing it hard.
"My apologies King Damon, I was caught up with settling some issues that was why I didn't pay attention to the servants" he explained, I roared angrily and yanked him to the wall, "you're such a bore, you can't even handle simple tasks, what are you here for then, you think you can play around leaving the two suspect roaming around the castle aren't you afraid that she might be in danger?" I groaned and lifted my hand. A blue wind formed on my palm, I stretched it further and used my inner power to lift Aragon from the ground. The further I pressed my palm together the more he was being pulled towards the roof. My mind was filled with anger that I wanted to kill Aragon. I tightened my palm attempting to choke him to death, but soon I felt a stung in my heart that calmed my mind, "bang!" He landed on the floor panting heavily.
"Scram! Get the two servants to the dungeon and lock them up. You have only a week to investigate this matter, if not you will have to face your punishment which is death. I'm only letting you go for a while" I muttered with a sullen face. He nodded and left, I sat back on the seat and sighed, "I wonder how Demeter is doing now? Have they found the blood?" These are the questions that run through my mind each second. "Nevermind, I'd better meet her in person" I got up from the seat and walked out of my study. I strode into her chambers and found her lying lifeless on the bed, I ambled towards her and grip her wrist, my eyes widened as I realized that her pulse is fading away, out of shock I dropped her hand on the bed, "why is this happening, why can't I feel her pulse?" I rummaged my head confused, "get the imperial doctor!" I finally said, the guard at the exit ran out of the chambers. Shortly he arrived with the imperial doctor who was sweating profusely, "Hey! Why isn't she getting better? I can't feel her pulse" I inquired the moment I saw him step into the chambers.
"That's because her body is deteriorating. She should rest more, we might find the solution soon" he said, I clenched my fist and turned away from them, "this can't happen, I won't allow it" I uttered to myself.
"You were instructed to get matching blood for Demeter but you're here spurting nonsense. Since there's no matching blood for her then the people should taste the pain she's passing through" I mumbled and stretched out my palm to summon my trident. "Don't do this king Damon, the human world would fall into chaos and they won't survive a strike from your trident please retrieve your order my king" the imperial doctor knelt and pleaded with his head on the floor. I smirked, this won't do! They can't even save Demeter from this plight but they plead for mercy. I glanced at her and trembled. The thought of losing her for the second time made my heart tie into a knot.
"My Lord, that'd be unreasonable if you hurt everyone because of my lady. The court will have something on you" Aragon asserted as he stepped into the room. I glared at him evilly, he smiled and turned to the imperial doctor, "you can draw my blood and save the lady" Aragon uttered with a face void of emotions. "Come to the infirmary to get your blood tested" he bowed to me and followed the imperial doctor out, I breathed heavily and sealed back my trident as I had the feeling that Aragon's blood would match with Demeter. Just like I predicted, the doctor walked into the chamber with a face full of smiles, "spit it out! Stop smiling like a lunatic. Look, she is still laying helpless on the bed" I reminded him as the frown on my face get gloomier. He froze and coughed awkwardly trying to hide his embarrassment.
"The report was successful, we can draw up his blood to save her now, but you have to leave for the treatment to take place" he affirmed. "Why should I leave? We're already together. I need to see how she'd be treated and also feel her pain" he huffed, "I can't believe that after going through a lot to save her, you still want to delay her treatment. Do you want her dead or alive? Tell me what you want?"
"You.." I scoffed and walked out of her chamber. I stood outside her chambers for a while waiting for his response but none came, how bold the people in this east castle are getting? The imperial doctor also has the guts to berate me, "wow" I said in amazement, he'd know that nobody talks back at me, he would get his retribution after treating my Demeter. abruptly the door of her room was unlocked, the doctor walked out sweating, "so?" I inquired not minding his appearance.
"Well, my lady is fine. she is indeed a strong woman who fought the sharp edge of death" I grinned and can't believe she made it without struggles.
