I need to see what's in the cave, there might be a tunnel or something that can send me off from here, I can't continue like this, I need to find a way, I thought walking around the entrance of the cave feeling disheartened, "argh" I yelled as I bumped my feet to something strong, I looked down and saw a rock that have the droplet of my blood, "you son of a b***h!" I grabbed the rock and threw it to God knows where. "What's the matter, Jasmine? You look pale" I gritted my teeth holding back the years that were threatening to fall, "it's nothing, where were you guys?" I inquired and hid my hurt feet. "oh, we went to search for some assistance that can make our tour easier. Luckily we found one. Boom!" They uttered unison showing me, dry wood and two stones. I sighed and nearly rolled my eyes, "what's this for, and how is it going to solve the problem we have now?"
"Don't flutter Jasmine, you won't understand. With these, we can set up a fire that can lead us into the cave" Anna explained. I glanced at the things she brought confused at how this would be of assistance, "see, I don't have time for jokes. I'm already sulking and I don't want to get angry at you two. So be quiet" I ordered and turned. I yelped as I had no idea that I got injured, I groaned and held my feet. "What is the matter Jasmine?" Christine rushed to me, assisting me to sit on a big rock. "It's nothing, I just bumped into something earlier" I asserted trying to hide my feet, it might be something crucial that can cripple you if it's left untreated" she insisted on checking my wound, I sighed and allowed her to check my wound since she wasn't taking no for answer.
"I knew it! Look, you're bleeding heavily" Christine asserted nervously.
"It's nothing Christine, the bleeding would stop soon" she ignored me and tore off the hem of her dress and tied my feet, "it's much better now the bleeding will stop for now. Let's head back home first" she suggested assisting me to stand, I pulled my hand out of her grip and swirled, facing the entrance of the cave, "I'm not leaving till I see what is in the cave, you both can go back first" I asserted.
"Come on Jasmine, don't sound ridiculous. How can you ask us to leave when you're injured, we'd seem heartless if we leave you like this, isn't that right Christine?" She asked out loud, taking a glance at Christine, who nodded and made an okay gesture, "then no one should persuade me to go back, this is the only chance I have to explore the places I wanted. The king didn't permit me to go around the castle any day I wanted, he permitted me to explore the castle today. So that's what I'm doing, there is no backing out. But you two can leave if you feel uncomfortable" I asserted with an expressionless face. I know that they are worried because they care about me, but that's not my worry. I need to find my way out here. That's the reason I chose to explore the castle and approach the King, all my efforts won't be in vain, I thought to myself avoiding the curious gaze of Anna and Christine. "Well, since that's what you want, we won't object. We're in this together as friends" they said after a while of whispering to themselves. I smiled and embraced them, "thanks guys" I muttered softly, Anna pulled out from my embrace and tore the hem of her outfit, she tied it on the dry wood, "hold this" she mumbled as she handed the clothed wood to Christine.
"What are you doing? Anna" I said agitated. "Be calm Jas, I'm just trying to create a fire that would lead us to the cave" she explained, but still I can't understand what she was trying to do. How can she make a fire with wood and a piece of clothing, that's absurd. I thought, walking around the pathway nervously. Sunset is approaching and the King will soon look for us and I haven't found a way out of here, I felt annoyed and useless. I turned to Anna and saw her putting two stones together, adding a lot of energy to it. I rolled my eyes at her and moved my gaze to the path that we came from thinking of the kind of weird world they can form. Suddenly there was light igniting the whole place, I gasped and immediately ran to Anna who was now smiling sheepishly, "you did it, babe! I'm so delighted. I thought that my tour would end without even starting" I embraced her grinning.
"Anything to make you happy." She winked at me and led the way while holding the wood with the burning fire. At first I thought that she would get hurt if she held the burning wood, but after much explanation from Anna, I got relieved and proceeded to the cave which I know holds a lot of adventures. We met lots of difficulties but now we're in front of a river that has lots of bubbles and flowers on it, "wow, so nice!" I uttered and attempted to step into the water, but rather I stepped into something that made a creaking sound. "What was that?" I asked with a shaky voice.
"Umm... I think there must be something beneath you. Slowly step away from there" Christine said, trying not to scare me, I breathed a sigh of relief and raised my foot, "argh!!" I screamed as I fell into a place that I didn't know how it appeared beneath my feet, "help me!" I shouted and tried reaching the other end but the place got sealed immediately leaving me stunned and worried. I looked around the place to find out that the whole place is surrounded by wood fire, "Anna, Christine! Help me" I screamed but got no response, I'm now on my own. I quivered walking forward as I searched for an exit or something that could help me leave here.
