Chapter 10: The Demon First Aggressive Attack

*MURPHY ADERSON* After I gave my instructions to Wavina about her job, and settled her work table, I immediately faced my own work. Just one day of absence, there's already loads of documents on my table. Needed my reviews and signs. I couldn't focus on my work because I was feeling indisposed. I thought this might be because of my lack of sleep last night.  I put down my pen and I was rubbing on my temples when my eyes inadvertently travelled to the outside of my office. Straightly to Wavina's table. They couldn't see me but I could see them from inside. Wavina's work table was just a few meters away from me. We were only apart by the tinted glass wall. Wavina was focused doing work on her computer when a girl next to her table peeked on her and gossiped. I wasn't human, thus every sense of mine was sharp. Likewise, I could hear their conversation. "Hey, what's your name?" The girl asked her, spinning her pen on her hand. "Wavina Javier. And yours?" Wavina replied with a sweet smile. "Cheska Frio. Nice meeting you." Cheska offered her hand for a handshake and so Wavina accepted. I was watching them intently so I noticed that Cheska held Wavina's hand tightly, not letting it go. "Ummm, Cheska, my hand." Wavina smiled awkwardly, pointing her hand with the other.  "Oh,I'm sorry. I'm sorry."  Later, Cheska moved closer to Wavina and slowly reached out Wavina's lips with her fingertips. I stood up suddenly with an uncomfortable feeling and anger because of what she did. Just like what happened back at the main door, though I didn't mean to push the guard but my body subconsciously did, so now I wanted to throw the named Cheska away.  As reflection came to my senses, I was shocked. What I was thinking?  Why did I react like I didn't want others to touch Wavina? Even by a girl? "Your lipstick exceeded your lip line." Cheska explained, showing her finger to Wavina. Hearing the reason for Cheska's action, the feeling earlier lessened but was being replaced with excitement as I saw Wavina licked her lips. The way she licked was innocent yet sexy, causing my throat to dry and remembering our unexpected intimate scene at her house. Thinking back of the event, strange activities suddenly triggered in my body: Wringing stomach, sweating, and worst severe twinging of my heart. I had a bad feeling that…  HE has woken up. "Wavina, I heard our Chairman--" Cheska was stopped with her speech as I stormed out from my office. "What's wrong with him?" Cheska added as the sight of the two of them followed on my fleeing figure.  ***** I was screaming and writhing inside the comfort room because of the indescribable pain in my heart. Like a million of nails were forcefully piercing into it. Ripped my skin and flesh.  "Murphy, force to cool down your emotions." Came Dusk's worried voice from outside.  I shouldn't run off from my office up to this 40th floor if only my office has its own comfort room. No matter how loud I screamed, no one could hear me since it was soundproof. "Dusk, he was too strong." I replied between my wailing. "You can do that. You have done that already before. Now, I believe you still can. Don't let that demon control you." I sloped up on the washbowl as I fell with my hands propped on it.  As I looked at the mirror, I saw my freakish appearance. My dragon body and the demon inside me were fighting for a domination under my human form. My head shifted to a dragon head, to a demon form then back to my human head and forth. The demon didn't have a solid form. It was only like a black thick fog that gathered together and formed a head. But if it succeeded to take control of my body, then it was a different thing. While my glaring eyes were focused on the mirror, the contact lenses I wore to protect my gold eyes from the bright lights irritation melted as my eyes suddenly lit up on fire. Ahhhhhhhhh! My ceaseless screeched echoed inside the room while I facing my palms.  After a minute, the fire died down and left my eyes sore and shedding with blood. This was all going to happen if I would resist the demon inside me taking over my soul and body. But if I wouldn't stop him, the world would be doomed. Then what was the difference between me and the evil dragons?  Thankfully, I managed to cool down my emotion as the terrified face of a young girl I harmed 12 years ago appeared in my thoughts. My guilt for hurting her unintentionally surpassed the excitement of my unrealised feeling right now. Hence, I succeeded in calming down. If I wouldn't feel extreme excitement or become too emotional, if I could remain calm and make my feelings under control, this demon inside me couldn't do anything.  "Mr. Holli, where is Mr. Anderson?" Came by Wavina's voice suddenly from outside. I immediately washed my face to get rid of the blood. I couldn't let Wavina see me in this state. But still my eyes were really feeling hurt. "Ms. Javier, Murphy wasn't here. Please leave." Replied Dusk in a pleasing manner. "Foolishness. I followed him 'till here, how could you say he was not here. I know he is here." Wavina might try to enter the comfort room but Dusk blocked her because I heard a thudding sound. "Please Wavina, Murphy is not feeling well now. So please leave." "Since you said he is unwell, the more that I should enter. I am his assistant. It's my job to take good care of him. If you don't let me in, what if he passed out inside. What are we going to do?" "Please don't--"  "Go away!" Wavina cut in and then she kicked the door in her full strength.  I was standing in the mirror facing back with my hands shading my eyes because bright lights blinded me when Wavina and Dusk squeezing in race as they entered. As they were about a meter away from me…  "Mr. Aderson, you--" PRrrrrrrrk! PRrrrrrrrk! Prrrrrrrrrrk! Wavina was interrupted by my growling stomach.  I hurriedly entered the toilet because it seemed I needed to poop. Likewise, right as I sat down on the toilet bowl. My wet feces sputtered inside it and it stinks so much. "Yuck Murphy. You're bad." Dusk exclaimed as he ran off to outside. "Tse!" I snorted, fingers pressing my nose to a close.  Maybe it was 13 minutes before I went out. Although I couldn't see properly, with my narrowing eyes, I got shocked as I found Wavina still standing right on the door.  "What are you doing?" I asked.  "I was worried about you. What I said in the house really happened. I made you sick on my very first day of work." Wavina said, lowering her head and her tears dropped on the floor.  Before I spoke, Dusk returned bringing a black sunglasses for me.  "Here, wear it for the meantime. Also, I called Guru over to check you." Dusk but in, putting the sunglasses on me from behind. "Why?" I asked with my brows curved as I looked at him. "Because you are having diarrhea. If you don't let the doctor treat you, how are you going to continue your work? Are you going to bring documents as you come and go to the toilet?" Dusk lifted his eyebrow, crossing his arms over his chest. "Murphy, tell me. Did you eat something that you should not?" Dusk added. "I--I--"  As I couldn't reply to him immediately, he turned to ask Wavina.  "Wavina, tell me. What did Murphy eat at your house?" Dusk seriously inquired. He acted like a strict investigator. Wavina answered still with her head's down. "Noodles spaghetti." "Hot or cold?"  "Hot." "What?" Dusk vented out. "Wavina, Murphy can't eat hot food." "Huhhh?" Wavina looked up, shocked and with tears in her eyes.  "Enough! Enough! I'm fine." I held Dusk's shoulders and turned him facing to the door. And then pushed him out.  Dusk acted upset on me. "Oh, so you are choosing a girl over a best friend now huh? Murphy, we're done. Hummmmph!"  I shook my head because of Dusk's childish act as I faced Wavina. I lifted her chin up. "It seems you forgot what once I told you. Wavina, this is the last I will remind you. So listen carefully, you are not allowed to cry. If you cry again, you will bear my consequences."
