Chapter 8: Ran Across to the Two Bitches

1495 Words
*WAVINA JAVIER* After the Aderson brothers left my house, I suddenly found how lonely I was.  Due to trauma and worry of what happened earlier, I locked myself inside my room with a table and cabinets blocked on the closed door. I admitted, I was afraid. Not only with the danger brought by others but the feeling of having no one beside me. Before, I used to have three companies since my parents died. Amila, Nica, and my Ex-Fiance. I was happy because they always pampered me and I relied on them a lot. But now, everything has changed. I was alone and I didn't know what kind of life was waiting for me in the future.  So I was afraid. Afraid of uncertainties and of myself. What if I was unable to move on?  I kept rolling on my bed. It was quite a few hours since I laid my body on the bed but still, drowse didn't visit me. Again, everything that happened earlier re-played in my mind and I was confused. Though my house was simple, it was still made of standard materials especially the window which was made of glass and supported with iron bars but Murphy just barged in easily from it.  I sat up suddenly on my bed. "Oh no, he didn't injure himself right?" I hit my forehead. "How could I forget to ask him that? Forget it! He was like a stone. How could he possibly get hurt? Ridiculous." I laid back my body lazily on the bed and stared on the ceiling for long. **** After knowing the truth that Murphy didn't mean any harm in searching me, I was like a little sparrow that was being released from a cage. Right after I woke up, I cleaned myself a little in the bathroom and went to the mall for a stroll. Since I was broke, I only did window shopping.  As I was about to pass the jewelry section of the mall, a glowing pair of earrings towed me back to the crystal case stands. I slouched over and my mouth did a wow curved shape as I had a close look on the pair of gold starter stud earrings. The carvings of a dove figure on it was exquisitely made.  The elegant attendant wearing a black blouse and black mini skirt with a maroon scarf on her neck approached me. She smiled, "Ma'am, don't hesitate to buy that anymore. Little peace suits on you." "Little peace?" I said amazely. The name itself was already satisfying to my ear.  "Yes." "I like it!" I blurted. "That was only 2.5 million pesos." I got choked as I heard the price and I named it again as I coughed. "2.5 million only?"  "Yes. Are you going to buy it?" Smiled her. "Ummm, maybe next time." I shyly replied, rubbing the back of my neck.  "That was a limited edition earring. So, I can't guarantee if that is still here the next time you come." Said her, feeling at loss. "It's fine. If next time I come, little peace is still here that means it meant for me. Of course, I will buy it. But if it's sold already, then that means it's not meant to be mine." I smiled as I sighed.  "Why wait for the next time if you can have it today?" Came by the happy proud voice of a man behind me as he handed a platinum card to the attendant. "Miss, please wrap it for her." I fixed the sling of my bag on my shoulder annoyingly as I stopped the attendant without sparing a glimpse on the person next to me. "No need Miss. I suddenly feel like I don't like it now." "Wrap it please." He ordered again, not listening to what I just said. "Whatever!" I said as I turned away and started to walk. "Wavina, wait!" He called, grabbing my arm as he reached me.  "Let go!" I squeezed off my hand but his grip was strong so he managed to pull me in a corner. "What do you want?"  "Wavina, it's been more than a week already. Why didn't you come to look for me? Don't you miss me? I've been waiting for you in the office and in my house. If we didn't run into each other today, when do you plan to see me? You know I miss you so much." "Peeeh! Peeh! Miss you? Look for you?" I chortled derisively. "If there is a person I hated to see the most, it was you. Now, let go of me!" As I took a step, he pulled me again and pressed my back against the wall. "Why are you so illogical? Wavina, I broke up on her already. So please, stop making a fuss about the issue last time. Two weeks later is already our wedding day. Wasn't this your long dream? For us to get married?" I shook my head as I stared at him. This man was hopeless and horrible for me.  "Not anymore." I stated and then laughed, "It's a pity that you broke up with her. You two were actually quite a perfect match. Two thick faces bitches." "Wavina, enough! Don't push me. I know you still want me. And I know you have nothing except me. If you don't come back to my side, you will starve to death." He said with his proud voice again. "What do you mean? It's not like I can't make money without you." "That if there is a company going to hire you. Wavina, only I can feed you." He moved in his face closer to mine to kiss me but I trampled his foot with my pointed 3 inches heel. He screamed in pain, hopping with the hurt foot on his hand. I glared at him, crossing my arms over my chest. "I am no longer the me who is always relying on you. I will prove to all of you that you are wrong. I can live alone. About the job, huh, well I already had one." I left him still in pain. Though from afar, I heard his voice yelled to the onlookers around. "What are you looking at?" ***** My mood to stroll was ruined so I went back home early. As I was already at the blue gate of my house, I noticed that someone has been tailing me. I looked around anxiously as I called him out. "Who is there? Show me yourself or else I will call the police." "Nana, it's me." Came by a naturally sweet low voice.  I mocked as I smirked. "Why am I so unlucky today? Keep running across to people whom I don't like to see." "Nana, please let's talk peacefully okay?" She reached out her hand on me. I glanced at her and I noticed that she became thinner. Her eyes showed repentant but I wouldn't buy it.  I looked away and turned my back on her. I couldn't help, tears rolled down on my cheeks. "I want peace too. So leave, we have nothing to talk." "Nana, please-"  "Go away!" I snapped her hands that just touched me and then I faced her back, wiping my tears like a child. "Leave! Can't you understand human language? I don't want to talk to you!" Nica lowered her head with tears in her eyes then she sobbed, "Nana I just fell in love with him. I can't help it." "I don't care. Leave!" I ranted, pushing her. She seemed don't care about my yellings and pushing. Next second I was astonished as she opened her bag, took a quite large sum of money, and handed on me. "Here, take it! You need it. I was inside your house this morning while you were asleep and I found it almost empty. You can use it to buy necessities." In so much rage, I snatched the money and tore them. After, I tossed them back on her face. "I don't need your alms." She was shocked, looking down the torn money with tears. "Nana, I didn't mean that." "Leave!" She couldn't do anything anymore to cool me down so she left disappointed. Immediately, I stormed in at my house with my head down and I was almost about to fall back when I bumped into someone who was blocking the doorway.  With his agile movement, he caught my body and unintentionally pressed to his.  I smelled his manly sweet perfume and felt his very warm and secure well-built body. A need to lean on his chest for more arouse in me but I controlled myself. Slowly I looked up and I jerked off out of his arm when I recognised the owner's of it. "Mr. Aderson? Why are you here?" I stuttered.  "Visiting you." He said, staring at me unemotionally. "How long had you been here?" "I've been here since this morning." He looked at his expensive watch. "5 hours." "What? So, you had seen and heard everything that happened just now?" "Yes." He replied without taking off his eyes from me.  And the most shocking second that made my heart race was, he held my head and gently wiped the tears left at the corner of my eyes as he uttered, "In the future, you are not allowed to cry."
