Chapter 11

We all sat in silence, waiting to hear what my doctor had to say.

“Your majesties, I am honored to inform you, our Queen is pregnant.” He waited a moment before he continued. “We will need to complete an ultra sound to determine how far along. My Queen, your blood work is showing you are pretty far along.”

I was shocked. My ability to speak had vanished.

“When will you be doing the ultrasound?” Ryder asked.

“The nurse is bringing me up the equipment as we speak.”

That snapped me back. “I don’t understand”.

The doctor gave me a kind smile. “What are your questions my Queen?”

“How could I be far along and have no idea?”

“You have been under an immense amount of stress my Queen. This would keep your mind and body occupied.”

As he finished speaking, they brought in the machine. Jace and Ryder helped me to lie down and pulled up my shirt.

The doctor spread warm jelly along the lower end of my stomach. The wand was not as warm. It made my jump. My Kings were standing on the other side of the bed watching in anticipation as the doctor began searching for the little ones growing in me.

“Ah, there you are my Queen.” His eyes brows furrowed and he continued to move the wand around. Taking many snap shots. The silence was killing me

“What’s wrong?”

He continued to work for a moment before providing an answer. “Nothing is perse wrong, your majesty. I am just surprised to find you are carrying triplets.”

My eyes nearly popped out of my head. I could hear both of my mates' heart rates increase.

“Three babies?” I asked him with skepticism.

“Yes.” Before he could continue Ryder interjected.“How far along is she?”

“According to this, she is 2 months along. Considering she is a hybrid; her body will grow the babies faster than a normal werewolf pregnancy. Usually those are 7 months long. She will give birth within the next 3 months.”

He continued to look move the wand around and take pictures.

“Would you like to know what you are having?” He looks up at me, then my mates. Speechless, I nod.

“Baby A is a boy. He is the largest of the 3. He will come first. He is closest to your birth canal. Baby B is also a boy. Then there is Baby C. Which is also a boy.”

“Look at that, we are going to have 3 strong and handsome boys.” I could hear the pride in Ryder’s voice.

Jace stood silent, but he had the biggest smile. “How are you feeling about all of this my love?” He asked me.

“I mean I am happy, but I’m also terrified. I have to push 3 babies out.”

They all gently laughed.

“You have us,” they both said in unison. That made me laugh. For two people that once hated each other, you would never know. They were my world, and I was theirs. Now our family was growing.

My eyes got big. “We have to go get baby stuff!”

“My love, we can handle it. I think it best you rest.” Ryder said.

I was going to argue, but now that I was calming down, I could feel how tired I was.

“My Queen, I need you to take it easy. Carrying 1 hybrid is hard enough. Let alone carrying 3.”

“Will they all by hybrid’s or do you think they will take after one over the other?” Jace asked.

“After confirming our Queen is pregnant, I had them run tests with the last of the blood we had. I can say with certainty that all 3 are hybrids. I will need to complete a DNA analysis on them to ensure there will be no birth defects. It is highly unusual, but considering not only is each cell having to contend with one male’s genetics, but two. Then to add in the uniqueness of our queen, it could be a bit harder on their genome.”

I zoned out as they continued to discuss what the procedure would look like. After the doctor explained, they were going to insert a long needle into my uterus and pull DNA from each, I didn’t want to hear anymore. That procedure was going to hurt like hell.

My wolf was ecstatic. I could feel her whole-body wagging. I felt horrible for a second. In all of the commotion of everything going on. I had totally forgotten about her. She had been unusually quiet.

“Why haven’t you been talking to me?” I asked her.

“Moon Goddess told me I had to keep my mouth shut about the pregnancies. Only way I was going to do that was to not say a word. I knew within a few days of us getting pregnant that we were carrying multiples.” She responded. “I took advantage of the fact that you were super busy.”

“Thanks for telling me. Not!”

“Hey don’t be sour. Be excited. We are about to have pups running everywhere!”

That made me smile.

Without thinking I said allowed, “How many pups do you want?” I looked up at my mates waiting to see their faces.

They were startled by my sudden question. Each one thought for a moment. They looked at one another and nodded their heads.

“As many as you want my love.”

“That’s a bull s**t answer.” I responded, irritated.

“Ignore what my opinion is. How many do YOU want?” I pointed to each of them.

Ryder responded first, “I want as many as you can carry. I have always wanted a whole mess of little ones running about the palace.”

I looked to Jace for an answer. “The same. I have always wanted a big family. How many do you want my love?”

I thought a moment and came up with the perfect answer. “As many as the Moon Goddess believes I can handle.” We all laughed at that answer.

Today was a life changing day, but I couldn’t have been happier. I was released from the hospital and my mates took me back to our room. As we neared it, I felt myself heating up. I needed their touch.

They laid me down and before I let them get away, I grabbed both of the collars on their shirts and brought them to my face. Both of them were very surprised. But that was soon replaced by their eyes turning dark.

I opened my legs slightly so they could smell my arousal. The second my aroma hit their noses; they began kissing all over my body. I loved as the sparks between us intensified the pleasure I felt with each touch.

All Jace could do was nod his head with his eyes closed. I snuggled close to the both of them and fell asleep quickly after.
