Chapter 10: The Hospital

Fenn and Grant made their goodbyes and left. They were still trying to track down any nest that the Creature might have left and would dispose of eggs or young when they found it. It was a long shot, but Fenn seemed to think it was possible. Sedman was with them and they were taking it in shifts, using Fenn’s skills with the energy of the Border, in addition to Grant’s, which seemed to be growing under Fenn’s tuition. It had been the right thing to do to foist Fenn upon Grant’s hospitality.
Alec shut the door after them and leaned against it quietly, watching the three remaining friends.
