Kara's POV:
As my eyes met the cold grey eyes of the royal visitor, I saw immediately in his eyes that he saw something that he was unsure of. I quickly realized that he was looking at me in question because of my eyes. Sometimes I forget that my eyes aren't actually human even when I'm using my human eyes. They really are just not normal with their color, the sparkle, and just the way they look in general.
I quickly looked away as I closed the book and pushed it back into the bag. I'm hoping the language used in the book will be enough for him to assume that I have no idea what was written.
Having him question me about my eyes probably isn't going to end well either. Less spoken between the two of us will be best, especially since I'm not supposed to be around him by the orders of Kin
