Jun Villaruel
"STOP IT ALREADY!" I shouted the moment I saw Violet getting punched in the face.
"NO! STOP RIGHT THERE! OR ELSE I'LL BLOW HER HEAD OFF!" Jessica shouted back and pointed a gun to Violet's temple, who was currently unconscious. I don't know what to do. I am panicking because of the gun that is pointed at Violet. I can barely recognize her face because of the bruises she got.
"LET GO OF ME! I'm GOING TO KILL HER!" Jessica shouted when someone grabbed her waist from behind.
"You came at the right time, call her parents, take her away from here." Felix commanded to those two guys who held Jessica. "Thank you for your help," Felix said to the other guy.
"Any time bro." the guy said to Felix.
I put my attention to Violet. She looks worn out because of the bruises she has on her cheek and her eyes. I'm getting mad because of that girl who did this to Violet. I hate myself because I put her in this situation.
Violet Mercado
I felt a pain in my head in the middle of my sleep, so I gently caressed my temple while my eyes were closed.
"You're awake. How are you feeling?" Jun asks me, which makes me open my eyes and look around me. I didn't notice what Jun said because I tried to remember how I ended up here.
"Violet, are you okay?" Felix asked while walking towards me with a bouquet.
"I'm not okay. Can you all please leave me alone?" I said to both of them.
"But," Jun said.
"Get out. I want to be alone." I said, then lay back in bed and shut my eyes, then I heard them leaving the room...
"Let's meet tomorrow," I said when my gangmate answered my call.
...
"I know you all wanted to see who I am behind this mask. That's why I have decided to let you all know who I am," I told them. They all looked dumbfounded and they seemed to believe it.
We are here at our hideout inside the Gangster Arena.
"..." all of them are stunned after I remove my mask.
"I got beaten up yesterday, that's why I got these bruises," I explained to them.
"Is it you? Our leader? Shadow?" Vincent asked me while raising his eyebrows at me. He has doubts because of what I look like.
"Yup," I said, then turned around and raised my shirt to show them my scar from our previous fight together.
"It is you," Jen said while checking my scar.
"I can't believe I finally know what my leader looks like," Lester said.
"From now on you can never doubt me," I tell them. "The condition is,."
"What?" Jen asked.
"All of you need to transfer to Villaruel College. You need to treat me like you knew me for a long time. But remember, you shouldn't address me as Leader or Shadow. You will call me by my name, which is Violet. And don't forget that Jun Villaruel and Felix Manalastas, the heirs of Gangster Arena in Singapore, go to that same school. Be cautious of every move you make." I explained to them, nodded and agreed with what I said. I didn't stay there any longer.
We've been a gang for over a year and this is the first time I showed them my face.
When I arrived home, I saw Jun waiting outside. A good thing is I had already changed my clothes before going home.
"You ride a motorbike?" he asks. I didn't answer him. I take my motorbike inside the gate and shut it before he gets a chance to go inside. "Violet, why are you treating me this way?" he asks, which makes me stop walking.
"What does he think of me?" I whispered to myself.
"Violet, can you please talk to me? This is hard for me," he pleaded.
"Hard? They are making fun of me and does he have the nerve to say that it is hard for him? I wanna kill him right now." I said in my mind and clenched my fist.
"Violet?" he calls. I just ignored him, and headed inside my apartment.
I don't need him, he might get in my way of achieving my goals, it might get me to my downfall.
Jun Villaruel
"This is all your fault!" I shouted to Arthur the moment I arrived in our hideout in Gangster World.
"What do you mean?" Dave asks and ignores what I said.
"You shouldn't have made me get closer to Violet. I shouldn't have... I shouldn't have..." I said and stopped what I was about to say because I couldn't figure out what to describe this feeling I had.
"Are you falling for her?" Jayson asks and puts his hand on my shoulder.
"Huh?" was the only word I could say.
"Do you like her already? You get jealous if she's with someone else? You love her already? Then make a move, court her, and stop making a tantrum." Jayson said, and then took a seat on the sofa.
"Violet doesn't know and it looks like I am the only one who feels this way. She's not even talking to me. I hate to think that it will be a one-sided love. And that Felix is getting in the way. He's getting on my nerves and Violet also only talks to Felix. WHAT DOES IT MAKE HIM BETTER THAN ME?!" I asked myself in frustration.
"Oh please! Jun, you fell for a numb girl. This girl, let's say she talks or speaks rarely, maybe to you only," Arthur explained.
"What should I do?" I asked them.
"Make a move, court her," Jayson said.
"Court? How should I court her?" I asked, confused. I can finish my challenge before, dares that also a girl. Those challenges are easy. That's why I didn't end up falling in love when I made a dare.
It suddenly crossed my mind that Violet knew how to ride a motorbike.
"Dave, I want you to investigate everything about Violet, from the important details to the least important, search for every detail, compile it, and it all is to me," I told Dave.
"Why would you want that? If you want to court her, that is not the best way to do it. It's not very romantic, she won't like it if she ever finds out," Dave explained to me.
"I saw her earlier, she came home riding a motorbike, she drove it," I tell them and they look at each other.
"She knows how to ride a motorbike?" Dave asks, confused.
"That's why I want you to do a background check," I said to Dave.
Violet Mercado. Who are you? Why are you so mysterious?
