CH.40

Aspen’s pov

I hadn’t seen Hardin in a couple of hours and I was starting to worry. I sent him a mind link to let him know I was going down for dinner and he said, “it’s already dinner time?” I said yes baby you have been gone a couple of hours. Where have you been? He said, “me and Alexander have been walking the packland talking but are on our way back now my love.” I told him I’d see him at dinner. I went down the stairs to find Evander looking around like he lost something.

I smiled and said he is with Alpha Hardin. They will be in, in a few minutes. He said, “oh ok. May I ask what your Name is Luna? I smiled and said my name is Luna Aspen. He bowed and said, “My apologies Luna for not asking sooner.” I said it’s ok Evander. Hardin and Alexander walked in and all 4 of us headed into the dining room for dinner.

Alexander and Evander asked where they were supposed to sit and I smiled and said you will be sitting at our table for now. The kitchen staff brought out a bunch of grilled meats and sides to go with them. Jakob and Hardin kept mind-linking each other and I mind-linked Hardin and asked what was going on and why they were being so secretive. He said, “it’s nothing to worry about my love everyone will find out what is going on in a little while” I nodded.

Once everyone had finished eating dinner Hardin and Jakob stood up and got everyone's attention. Hardin said, “good evening green moon. I know many of you are wondering who our visitors are. Let me introduce Alexander and Evander, fraternal twin brothers from Maine. Alexander and Evander would you two please stand.” the boys stood and looked around. Hardin said, “these two boys have been through a lot and have come a long way searching for a place to call home after their entire pack fell victim to a monstrous act leaving them as the only survivors.” he then looked at Jakob and nodded.

Jakob said, “we found these two boys while we were away and it was as if they were meant to cross our paths. Alexander and Evander, the Alpha and I have discussed this and we would like for you two to become official green moon pack members. Would the two of you like to stay here and call green moon home?” the boys looked at each other and then mind-linked each other after a few minutes of silence the boys at the same time said, “we would love to become members of green moon Beta Jakob and Alpha Hardin, thank you all so much for inviting us into your pack with welcoming arms and with the kindness that only a family would show.” I smiled up at my future husband and at my future Beta brother-in-law.

I stood up and said Alexander and Evander as Luna of green moon let me be the first to say welcome to your new home. The boys said, “thank you Luna Aspen.” Hardin said, “now everyone enjoy dessert” and everyone dug into their desserts. The boys sat there smiling and eating their ice cream.

When dinner was over Hardin told the ranked members and the boys to go up to his office to go over details for the boys. Everyone headed upstairs and we all piled into Hardin’s office. Hardin and Jakob had already worked out everything for the boys if they accepted the invitation to stay here and told them that they would have a week to get settled in before starting training and that as soon as the addition was finished on the gym and classes for self-defense started they would also be taking that. The boys agreed to everything that Hardin was telling them they would have to do.

Then Jakob said, “one more thing boys, you will also have a job here in the pack and the two of you will have an important job at that.” everyone looked confused besides Jakob and Hardin. Jakob said, “the two of you are going to become the Luna and the Alpha’s sister’s personal guards.” the boy’s eyes got big and I stepped up and said it’s ok boys, the only thing you will have to do is go with us when we leave the packlands and if we are out and about in the packland just keep an eye on us. We are usually together when we leave the packhouse so it should be easy to keep up with us. They nodded and said, “yes Beta, Yes Alpha and yes Luna.” they signed some papers and Hardin asked me to file them for him when I got a chance. I took the papers to my office and copied them then gave the boys a copy.

Hardin said, “one more thing guys when the townhomes are ready to be moved in we will be moving you into a two-bedroom for now and Beta Jakob, Luna Aspen, and myself will be taking you shopping to furnish the townhome.” the boys nodded and said, “thank you Alpha, Luna and Beta” Hardin dismissed everyone and we went back to our room.

I went and sat on the balcony, Hardin came out a few minutes later and said, "I put a pot of coffee on my love” I smiled and said thank you, baby. He sat down and I looked over at him and said what made you and Jakob decide to ask the boys to stay here? He smiled and said, “it's strange but when I took Alexander out for a walk we stopped by to check in with Zeke and Nikkoli and they were asking for a last name to add him and Evander to the system and when he told them their last name it was as if the moon goddess sent them to us.” I said well what does their last name have to do with anything? He said, “baby their last name is Tiffin.” I said the same as yours? He said, “ no baby T.I.F.F.I.N. but it is still pretty damn close to mine. I also got a good feeling when I was walking with Alexander. Annalynn probably would have been able to sense if something wasn’t right with them. So far she seems ok with them and so do you."

I told him I don’t feel anything negative when I'm around the boys. We sat there and enjoyed a cup of coffee while looking up at the stars then went to bed.

Daphanie’s pov

I haven’t heard from Dayton in two days and I haven’t been able to go see him either. I know I haven’t been caught so I wonder what's wrong. I decided to go to blood-orange moon and talk to Dayton’s parents and tell them we are mates. I need things to speed up so I can get that b*tch out of my pack and I can take my place next to Hardin as his Luna. I left the packland and headed to blood-orange moon. When I got to the front gate the gate guard asked me why I was there and I said I'm going to check on my mate I haven't heard from him in a few days. The gate guard asked who my mate was and I told him.

He went into the guard booth and came back out and said, “I'm sorry Miss but I can't allow anyone who isn’t blood-orange pack members inside the gate by order of Alpha Charlie.” I huffed and said fine can you have the Alpha come talk to me then? He said, “I will ask him." He came back and said, “the Alpha will be down in a few minutes.” a few minutes later this young good looking guy came to the gate and walked over to my car. He asked who I was and I said I am Daphanie Perez of green moon I'm here to check on my mate. He said, “Miss Perez, who is your mate?” I told him Dayton the Beta’s son.

He said, “I'm sorry Miss Perez but Beta Dayton isn’t able to see anyone right now.” I asked why and he said, "that is confidential pack information, and I am not at liberty to discuss this matter with you or anyone else other than his family." I asked if he was ok and the Alpha said, “he is fine but that is all I can tell you.” I said ok thank you for talking to me Alpha Charlie. He said, “I am not Alpha Charlie. I am Alpha Wyatt, his son.” I looked at him and said if you aren’t the Alpha then you have no right to tell a ranked member’s mate they can't see their mate.

He said, “actually I can seeing’s how I am his son and I am the soon-to-be Alpha of this pack. Now I'm going to ask you to leave until your mate has contacted you and you are given the ok to come back and if you fail to do as I'm telling you, you will be considered a threat to this pack and I will not hesitate to have my men arrest you. Do you understand Miss Perez?” I huffed and said yeah I understand and backed up and sped off.

How dare that wanna-be Alpha tell me I can’t see Dayton even after I told him we were mates. I decided to go see another one of my male friends at another pack instead and headed the other direction.

Wyatt’s pov

When I went back up to my office I busted out laughing at how mad that Daphanie chick got when I said she couldn’t see Dayton. Trini came into my office and asked why I was laughing and I told her she said, “Wyatt, that was wrong on so many levels. What if she goes back and tells Hardin something is wrong with Dayton and Aspen freaks out.” I told her to calm down. I was about to call Aspen and tell her what I did.

I picked up my phone and called Aspen. When she answered I said hey sis just wanted to give you a heads up that crazy chick showed up wanting to see Dayton and I had already told the gate not to let her in because Dayton was unable to have visitors. She said, “why did you tell her that Wyatt? We need her to keep on with her plan so we can catch her.” I told her to calm down that Dayton is the one who asked me to do it because he wasn’t ready to see her. She sighed and said, “ok but he is going to have to deal with her soon so we can get back on track with our plan.” I asked her how the twins were doing and if they had found another pack for them.

she said, “they are doing fine and yes we found a pack for them.” I said cool which pack? she said, “they are now members of green moon” I was a little surprised Hardin let them stay there but they seemed like good kids. I said well I'm glad they have a pack to call home now. She said, “they will be training with Jakob as warriors and have been given the job of mine and Anna’s personal guards.” I said Aspen, how do y’all know y’all can trust them to be your's and Annalynn’s guards? She said, “Wyatt, we think the moon goddess guided the boys to us. Also Annalynn would be able to sense if they were bad but so far nothing. They have not shown us any signs of being a threat and have done nothing but cry and thank us for allowing them into our pack.” I told her I trusted her word but I would be there in a heartbeat if I needed to be. she said, “I know you will Wyatt. Thank you for being an awesome friend and brother to me.” Once we hung up I went to work helping Trini clean up around the packhouse.
