CH.29

Aspen’s pov

I got my weekly call from my parents today and they told me that my brother was on a rampage about something but wouldn’t say what. I said mom, does he ever tell you what goes on in that messed up mind of his? She crawled by butt for talking about Dayton like that and I said well all you have to do is get Wyatt involved and have him talk to Dayton.

She said, "Aspen you know we don’t like to involve Alpha Charlie or Wyatt in our personal business." I told her if it calms him down then I would. She said he would calm down in a couple of days and I should just drop it.

After I got off the phone with my parents I sighed and Hardin asked me what was wrong. I told him my brother was on one of his rampages and I had a feeling it had to do that that b*tch Daphanie. Hardin walked up to me and pulled me into a hug and said,

"my love everything will go back to normal as soon as we catch her and Mikael." I said I hope you are right baby because my parents don’t need to deal with any more of his crap. I mean I love my brother but he has serious mental issues and Wyatt is the only one who has ever been able to calm him down when he gets like this but my parents don’t want to get him involved in it. Hardin said, "why don’t you call and talk to Wyatt about talking to Dayton?" I said I could call him since I'm the one who always called him before. Hardin kissed the top of my head and said, "give Wyatt a call and tell him and Trini I said hey."

He then told me he had some business to go tend to with the contractors who were building the new townhomes. I asked if he was going to bring up expanding the gym and adding a new room to it and he smiled and said, "yes I am baby, I told you I loved the idea of starting a self-defense class for our female pack members." I smiled and told him to get his sexy Alpha ass going and smacked his butt as he was walking away. He turned and smiled at me and said, "I'll get you back later my love" and walked out the door.

I decided to go for a walk around the packland and try to enjoy my day so I asked Annalynn to walk with me so we could have some one-on-one sister bonding time and she was all for it. We headed out and I sent Hardin a text letting him know I was walking with Annalynn and we’d be back later. He texted back to enjoy my walk. Annalynn and I headed towards the front entrance of the packland I mind-linked her and said to keep mine and Hardin’s engagement to herself for now in case anyone was following and listening to us, she nodded and we started talking about make-up and different fashion styles we liked. When we got to the front gate, Zeke and Nikkoli walked out of the guard post and said "Luna, miss Annalynn" and bowed. I said guys come on now you don’t always have to be so formal with me.

Zeke said, "I apologize Luna but are not allowed to call you by your name without Luna before it." I nodded and said I understand guys well enjoy the rest of y’alls day.

They bowed and Annalynn and I headed back towards the other end of the packland, as we were passing the park near the townhomes where Daphanie lives I heard her voice but when I looked around I didn’t see her anywhere. I stopped and Annalynn looked at me and asked if I was ok. I nodded and said I needed to sit down for a minute. We sat down on one of the park benches and I closed my eyes and could hear her voice again. I listened and I could hear her telling someone she didn’t do anything wrong and was banned for no reason and that she was being lied about. Then she started laughing and saying I told you he would believe me. I then heard more laughing but it sounded like more people with her. I heard Daphanie say I told y’all I will have what belongs to me and no one is going to stop me from becoming Luna of this pack. I opened my eyes and Annalynn was looking at me with a confused look on her face. I said let's go, we need to talk but can’t do it here.

Annalynn said, "do I need to get Jakob and Hardin?" I said no not yet.

We headed back to the packhouse and when we got to the door Walker stopped Annalynn and said, "Beta Annalynn our mutual friend is getting restless." she nodded and we walked past him and headed up to Hardin’s office.

When we got up there I knocked but got no answer. I opened the door and pulled Annalynn inside. I asked her if she remembered what we talked about at the resort, she nodded and I told her I heard someone else this time. She looked at me and said, "who?" I told her I overheard Daphanie talking to someone telling them we were lying on her and she had been banned for no reason and that she did nothing wrong. Then I told her I heard a bunch of laughing from multiple people and she said she will have what belongs to her and no one would stop her from becoming Luna. Annalynn looked at me and said,

"um even if you and my brother hadn't met or been mates there is someone who can stop well actually 2 people who could." I looked at Annalynn and asked who? She said," my mother for one and two me." She said, "Aspen I am Alpha's daughter and if my brother hadn’t met you I know my brother enough to know he would have never taken a chosen mate so my mother or I would have to be acting Luna." she then said, "I don’t get why Daphanie thinks Hardin would ever choose her to be his Luna, my brother has never given her the time of day." I said well isn’t it obvious the sick and mental gene runs in the family. We both laughed.

She said, "can we go to my room and talk?" I raised my brow at her and she said she didn’t want Hardin to open the door on us. I nodded and we headed down to her room. As we were going down past Jakob’s floor Annalynn looked down the hall where his room was and whispered "soon I will be up here." I smiled and said after all of this crap was over I would talk Hardin into allowing her to move into a room down the hall from Jakob she smiled and said, "thank you." like 30 times in 2 minutes.

When we got to her room we closed the door and she said. "we don’t have to worry about anyone overhearing us because Hardin had my room soundproofed a few days ago because of the whole meeting in my room when Mikael texts me." I nodded and said that’s a good thing for you and Jakob too while talking before bed. Now no one can eavesdrop or accidentally hear you and him talking and spread gossip until all this is over.

I asked her what she needed to talk to me about and she laughed and said, "you said I had to spill it when we got home so we are home now and we are having sister time." I laughed and said spill. Annalynn told me that her and Jakob did exactly what I told her to do and it did help them, then she told me they talked on the phone and Jakob did it himself but she could hear everything as in his breathing changing and him struggling to speak and then she heard panting. She said she even asked him if he had just finished and he told her the truth that he had.

She blushed and then said, "how do I do it on my own Aspen?" I told her to get her purse and meet me by the car. We were going to go buy her something. She looked at me funny and said, "do I even want to know?" I said I promise it isn’t that bad now come on I've got to text Hardin and let him know we are going out for lunch.

Hardin told us to be careful and to take Zeke or Nikkoli with us and I felt Zeke would be best for today. We headed down to the mall and went into several stores just looking around. Then we headed into a bookstore and I went looking for what I wanted to get her. When I found it Annalynn looked at me and then at the book and back at me with a horrified look on her face. I laughed and said relax Anna it's just a book there aren’t any pictures in it.

She let out a breath and said, "Hardin is going to be pissed if he finds out." I said who is going to tell him and smiled. After we left the bookstore I decided we were going to go eat at hot wing express Anna got excited when I told her where we were going. She said she used to come to eat wings with the guys when she was younger. We ate our lunch and headed home.

Hardin’s pov

I am so glad Aspen and Anna are bonding, it melts my heart seeing 2 of my favorite girls spending time together. I already know my mom loves Aspen and the same for all of my aunts. Jakob and I had finished our business with the contractor and headed back to my office. Once we were inside and the door was closed I told Jakob to sit down. He looked at me with a worried look on his face. I told him to relax and said I wanted to talk about living arrangements.

He raised his brow and said, "who is moving?" I said well I was going to talk to Aspen and see if she thinks it's a good idea but I was thinking about moving Annalynn to your floor just in a different room after all this is over. He stood up and said, "REALLY?" I smiled and said yes bro, you've done nothing but show my sister respect and I think you two should be on the same floor since y’all are mates but she will not be allowed to sleep over until she is of age Jakob. he nodded and said, "yes Alpha!" I told him to keep that to himself for now and let me be the one to tell Anna. We hung out for a while and waited for the girls to get back. Once the girls got back Aspen and I went to our room and took a nap before dinner. After dinner, Aspen and I went for a walk and then retired to our room to cuddle and watch a movie before bed.
